The carnitas plate was absolutely delicious--tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. What made the experience even more memorable, though, was the incredible hospitality from the owners and staff. The warmth and genuine friendliness made us feel as if we were dining in Mexico, with the same outstanding level of service and good ambience. It may be a bit out of the way for some, but trust me--it is well worth the drive. This is a true hidden gem in Miami Lakes. Thank you, Ricardo, for your hospitality. We'll definitely be back!

Nearly everyone around us were screaming in each others faces just to have a simple conversation. So sorry to bury the lead, as I am writing this we are discovering we have food poisoning. The menu is solid and dependable, especially if you're in the mood for Mexican comfort food done right. Portions are generous, flavors are familiar, and everything comes out hot and fresh. The fajitas are a safe bet, the tacos hit the spot, and the margaritas do exactly what they're supposed to do after a long day. Nothing feels overcomplicated, which I actually appreciate here. The vibe is casual and laid-back, very much a locals' place. You'll see families, regulars, and people clearly on a first-name basis with the staff. Service can be a little uneven depending on how busy it is--sometimes super attentive, sometimes a bit slow--but it's friendly and well‑intentioned, which goes a long way. We enjoy coming for birthdays and always enjoy the Mariachi's perform. Overall, Cancun Grill is a reliable Miami Lakes staple. It's the kind of place you go when you want a relaxed meal, a strong margarita, and zero pressure to impress anyone. Not flashy, not fussy--just solid comfort food that keeps you coming back. Definitely will continue to come back.

We went inside and walked around every truck to check their menus. When we got close to Los Tacos, a gentleman, which we assumed was the owner, offered us a sample of their chicken quesadillas and that sold us right on the spot. Wow! They were SO flavorful, came with a delicious sauce and avocado . We decided to stay and ordered a few more items: the Quesabirria, which has been one of my favorite from all the places I've tried before. The Flautas Carne Asada, which they recommended and didn't disappoint. They were a lot and came with a homemade mild green sauce, and also tried the elote, which I felt had too much lemon on it, for my taste. The pricing was AMAZING, the service great, portions were very generous and the ambiance on point. They even had a live DJ. I would definitely come back.

The newest Mexican restaurant on the Miami Lakes / PSN / North Hialeah area, they've been open for only about two weeks. They have a modern decor with a couple of caravelas, as well as a TV streaming corridos. From what I understand, they have mariachis other times of the weekend too. Their dishes are a fusion of street and classic cuisine. For starters, their salsa with chips has a nice spicy kick I enjoyed! I also tried esquites - basically corn without the cob, sprinkled cheese and sour cream. It 's definitely a nice snack! My main course was a keto-ization of their chicken fajitas (no rice, no tortilla) and I loved it! This was a very generous portion of flavorful chicken, onions and peppers. Their sour cream is a little more liquid than I would prefer; I like the richer one I'm used to at my regular spot. The red sauce was tasty though! Likewise for the tacos al pastor. Fresh cilantro, onions yummy beef and pineapple on a crisp tortilla make a really tasty dinner. Pair these with a couple of apps, and they're as filling as fajitas. Churros a la made - fried dough, vanilla ice cream, and fresh berries - showed love to my sweet tooth. They were delicious and nicely presented as well.

Quite possibly the most interesting food truck experience I have had to date…read more.. I say "interesting" and you might ask 'why?' Well sure, I'll tell you. Hiding behind a business building and off the road to where if you're not looking you'd never see them is this food truck like any other. The interesting part comes in when you actually arrive at their location in the parking lot and connector road between this business office building and the nearby strip mall. It's a food truck that aspires to be a restaurant - they set up tables, a couple of large pop-up tents, and plenty of chairs. They also have a staff that acts as waiters and table runners - it was the most interesting food truck experience for sure. After ordering at the table (you don't order at the food truck's window) your food comes out fairly fast and it is a massive serving regardless of what you choose. My cohorts had their pork and hamburger monstrosity of a sandwich, while I had this massive Columbian version of a sub - it was delicious as it was impressive to see. These meals were so big nobody finished theirs, but it wasn't for want of trying. The only nit I have is that we had to wait quite a bit of time for one of the servers to drop by and take our order - Though busy, it wasn't so much so we could have had our order taken a solid 5-minutes earlier. No matter, we luckily weren't in a hurry so it wasn't an overall big deal, but it was strange to have to wait so long for no apparent reason. Nonetheless, if your driving down Miami Lakes Drive, north of SR826, see the signs and drop in - you won't be disappointed...

I reallly really wanted to love it, but it's meh. It is very clean, small, colorful. But idc abt the decor. I care abt the food bc I am a taco lover. Tacos are more than meat on a tortilla. Tacos are history, culture, memories. And these tacos, are as authentic as Taco Bell. Not bad. Fast. And will scratch that itch. But they are not memorable. But how could they be? When the person cooking is not even Mexican. The Al pastor tacos are not on a trompo. The steak tastes like any restaurant steak you've had in any Latin restaurant, just diced up, put on a tortilla, and sprinkled w cilantro. If you put both tacos in front of me and blindfolded me, I could only tell them apart bc of the pineapple. I will give them props on the birria empanadas. By far the most memorable dish. It is not the crust of a Mexican empanada. More like Venezuelan empanadas. But the crust lends itself really nicely to be dipped into the consomé. The quesabirria cheese was your standard Mexican blend from any supermarket instead of Oaxaca, asadero, or chihuahua. Ur felt unnecessarily greasy. I don't think we will be back.
