    Not very busy.

It's fast food, so don't set the bar unrealistically high. As far a fast Mexican food goes, I enjoy it. The chilada is like the old school Taco Beauno enchirito from the 1980s. The liberal use of shredded cheese distinguished this restaurant from all others. For fast food it's not bad.

Soft Taco - bursting with meat, lettuce and cheese

I was greeted right away by a smiling and friendly employee. The place was clean and fairly busy. My food was ready in about two or three minutes. I ordered a super burrito and a soft taco. I tell you what - Taco Casa is easily the best fast food tacos out there! They load the tacos up! Great value - good cheap food.

    Unhelpful service worker.

Bad service. Have a child with food texture issues. Asked for two tacos for him, with the ingredients separated, as this is the only way our child can eat here. Every other Taco Casa we've eaten at has facilitated this. It doesn't require extra ingredients, just some compassion. This gentleman wouldn't accommodate the order, and said he "wasn't allowed to do that here".

Taco Casa Salad - it's kind of healthy

I needed something different from my regular lunches, but something quick. This Taco Casa fit the order. Service was very fast from a very clean and well kept restaurant. The staff was friendly and anticipated my needs. The food was well prepared, hot and very tasty.

You really can't each much cheaper than at Taco Casa and the food even tastes good! It's my favorite lunch stop! Local family owned!

My first time at s Taco Casa and will be my last. Was not impressed with the food, the prices or the packaged hot sauce.

Portillo's is typically a hit or miss with us here…read more Depending on what you get will actually determine how you like the food. We always get the [Jumbo] Hot dog, which is not as big as you'd expect, but it's tasty. We enjoyed eating the Jumbo Chili Cheese Dog, Char-Grilled Maxwell Street Polish Sausage, and the Char-Grilled Polish Sausage. These are all the hot dogs we typically order. We're not fans of the Italian Beef Sandwich nor the Big Beef Sandwich; they typically have a lot of gravy in them. The Char-Grilled Italian Sausage Sandwich wasn't worth it. If you side the gravy and don't add peppers (an extra charge), you'd literally just get the bread and the sausage. The fries and onion rings are usually mediocre, but it's good served as a meal. On the other hand, the staff has always been kind, both in-house and drive-thru. The place has never been too crowded.

I've loved Portillo's ever since I first moved to Chicago back in 2001. I became a regular pretty…read morequickly. It was one of those places you just kept going back to because the food was consistently great and it felt like a true Chicago institution. So when Portillo's finally came to Texas, I was thrilled. Let's start with the star of the show...the Italian Beef with hot peppers. It's incredible. Order it dipped and you will be in food heaven. And if you really want the ultimate Chicago move, make it a combo by adding the Maxwell Street sausage. That combination is absolute perfection. Messy, bold, and ridiculously good. Of course, the Chicago-style hot dogs are outstanding too. Just make sure you order it the right way and "drag it through the garden." That means the full lineup of toppings, just like they do in Chicago. It's the real deal. The sides are fantastic as well. The crinkle-cut fries are always solid, and the onion rings are super crispy and addictive. If you're trying to behave a little, the chopped salad is my wife's favorite. It's fresh, loaded with flavor, and honestly one of the best salads you'll get anywhere. And here's the surprise for people who haven't tried it...the hamburger is fantastic. Big, meaty, juicy, and full of flavor. I'll say it plainly. It's better than just about any fast-food or fast-casual burger out there. Bottom line...Portillo's isn't just another restaurant. It's a Chicago legend that delivers every single time. I'm glad Texas finally got the memo.

My name was never called. When I finally asked about my order, the employee preparing the food told me that he had already made it and had given it to someone else. I explained that I had been standing there the entire time and never heard my name called. Instead of acknowledging the mistake, apologizing, or checking the receipt, he repeatedly insisted that the order was already made and that someone else had taken it. I told him that this wasn't my fault and that orders should be verified before being handed to customers. Rather than trying to resolve the issue, he dismissed my concerns and ignored what I was saying. His attitude was rude, unprofessional, and showed a complete lack of customer service. Everyone makes mistakes, but what disappointed me most was how the situation was handled. A simple apology and willingness to fix the mistake would have gone a long way. Instead, I was made to feel as though I was responsible for an error that could have been prevented by verifying the receipt before handing out the order. I hope management provides better customer service training and ensures employees verify orders before giving them to customers. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this location.
