I like the food here okay although I don't really consider it Mexican food. What I hate is that the 2 tv's constantly play OAN and Fox News. Fox News is bad enough but OAN is right wing propaganda! Just had some food to go and LITERALLY the shell on the tostada and the super taco were extremely STALE!! Lastly, there was hardly any cheese on either, SPECIALLY the tostada. I've gone to the taco casa in HOUSTON and they are WAY BETTER! I'll stick to something else next time while in Grapevine. read more

As promised I am editing my review. On Saturday 4 days ago my family ate in Taco Casa and had problems with one staff person. I wrote my review and sent it to the owner. On Monday the owner call and apologize. She took care of the situation swiftly. We love Taco Casa so I am very pleased to know that the owner is involved with her store and cares enough to call customers. All the food we have received their has been great. I did not know anything about TACO CASA before moving to Texas. But I'm glad I gave them a shot. They are scores above taco Bueno and Taco Bell. Food is stuffed with meat and cheese just the way it should be. If you are looking for a good fresh meal Taco Casa is awesome. Casa is to Mexican what Chik fil a is to a good chicken sandwich. I haven't been to another Taco Casa location, but I can't imagine that the experience could get any better. This location is always super clean, the service is lightening fast and my order is always hot. The Super Taco is really tasty. I order a large unsweetened tea that lasts all afternoon. 100% recommend! read more

Following up on my previous review: to quickly recap: My best friend came to visit me at Christmas. She brought her two children and her nieces and nephews. We walked Main Street for a while, took in the Christmas lights; at dusk, the kids started getting hungry and my friend suggested we eat a Taco Casa for dinner. We ordered: there was initially a problem with her credit card, when (who we now know was the manager) set our tray down, the teenage boy working put his hand over the tray and slid it back to her, saying "her payment didn't go through." We noticed, but didn't say anything, waiting calmly. When it did go through, we took the trays and said "thank you." We got the kids seated; at some point, my friend left the kids and went back to the counter. After several minutes I became aware that there was some kind of problem. I could tell my friend was anxious. I walked up to the counter and stood next to her. (I eventually got the whole story, at the time I understood there was a discrepancy over what was ordered vs. what was paid for.) We were evidently short one, 99 cent taco. At the time, I honestly thought my friend had probably miscounted. Evidently at some point the owners had come out and asked the manager on duty to go ahead and make another taco, but she apparently refused. I pulled out my credit card, smiled and asked to buy a taco. She refused to allow me to make an additional purchase. At that point the owners came back out and said to my friend, "we went in the back and watched the video and she gave you seven tacos." The owners, at that point also refused to allow me to purchase an "additional" taco. I said "you rewound and watched a security video while we were standing out here?" They laughed nodded and smiled. That's when I said this is beyond the pale, and informed them I would contact corporate. And that's when they laughed, and said there would be no available recourse through the corporate office. My friend was so shaken up by the experience, she/we didn't realize the proof was on the receipt until she got home that evening: they sure did give us seven, she'd paid for EIGHT tacos. To update you: Corporate did exactly as the owners said they would: they expressed a reluctance to follow-up with the owners. I did inform them that I was aware they did have more control than they were acknowledging as I'd worked for a Subway franchise in college and knew franchisees only lease the umbrella. The guy at corporate finally agreed to speak with the store owners and sent me $32.00 in "Taco Bucks", even after I'd asked him not to send them. My thinking: in the end, they essentially gave us 32 times what we asked for, so why not just make it right the first time? How hard was it to give someone the benefit of the doubt and make them one "extra" 99 cent taco, which in our case was not actually extra, but what we'd paid for? Corporate never called me back. Neither did the owners. My friend had furnished a copy of her receipt. We never heard back or received an apology or any other follow-up, apart from the aforementioned "Taco Bucks", which went in the trash. I've resolved, based upon Corporate's policy not to police its franchises, to never patronize ANY of their establishments going forward. When I wrote my first review here on Yelp, I'd written Merry Christmas to us! (it's still on the other review); the very next day, they'd changed their electronic moniker to read "Merry Christmas!" It wasn't there the day before. That's how unnecessarily petty these people behaved, over ONE dollar. The "Now Hiring" sign hasn't come off more than a few times since a month or so after my experience in 2015. And yes, as of today, they are apparently STILL hiring. They seem to have some difficulty retaining staff. Gee, I wonder why? Fast forward to new review: My Mom came over the other day (without remembering my experience) and said she had such an increasingly confusing conversation with an unhelpful drive-through attendant who could only tell her "no, we don't have that," (she said she asked for either nachos and cheese, or chips and queso, evidently they called it by a different name on their menu, but instead of saying "ma'am, do you mean..." or, "we have..." or "we don't have that, but we do have..." or "would you like to try..." They just kept reiterating "no, we don't have that"). My Mom finally apologized to the employee for being unable to place an order and drove off without ordering anything and "would never be back." She went to the nearby Subway (which is lovely by the way, also nutritious :) I fell out of my chair and rolled around on the floor heaving with laughter for a minute, and when I finally caught my breath, I reiterated our experience. My mother has never been back. I recommend this place be avoided, else you're likely to walk away with a HUGE headache should anything go wrong with your order. I've never been back to this, or any other, Taco Casa. read more

Surprisingly good, simple fast-food Mexican restaurant. Excellent, non-saucy versions of Taco Bell's fare: taco, soft taco, tostada, bean burrito, nachos. Skip the "supreme" levels of the items (all you get is tomatoes it appears) and you can nab a cheap, tasty lunch or dinner. We have Taco Casa nights at least once a week! read more

I went to this location or the first time on Tuesday, 10-13, and then I went back on Thursday, 10/15. Fast, steady service through the driver thru and friendly, fast service in the dining area. The taco's are cheap and good. I love that they COVER them with shredded cheese. I think I might go as far to say that I like them better than Bueno.....and, that's a big deal! read more

Taco Tuesdays are packed but they handle it well. The line never takes to long and the food comes out really quickly. They do not skimp on the cheese either. Love the super tacos & this used to be my regular lunch stop. I'm always treated well by the staff and the food is always tasty. My only complaint is that I think the staff gets a bonus for the amount of ice they use in their drinks. Filled to the rim with ice. Sounds like a silly thing to complain about, but when when it's 105 degrees outside, I want more than 4 sips out of a $2 large soda from the drive-through. 3/5 read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE!! If you want FAST food taco style this IS the place...... the ingredients they use taste SO fresh compared to any other fast food taco restaurants. The only thing that kind of stinks is that the Grapevine location closes earlier and if you are one minute late you miss out. One night I drove all the way over to the Southlake location (which is open one hour later) because I knew I was too late and got there right at the time they were closing...... the guy on the intercom said "sorry we are closed" and I pleaded with him since I had just driven 20 minutes to please let me order. I'm thankful that he did!!! I'm single, and therefore don't cook at home. Eating out can get VERY expensive and the "cheap" options always taste CHEAP. That IS NOT the case with Taco Casa which is why I'm such a fan!! read more
