When I got to the counter there were two identical bags of food, so I asked the employee which bag was my order. He didn't hear me and asked me to repeat the question, so I loudly asked "which is which?". The employee took offense at how loud I was, and the other customer told me I was being rude. I suppose In-N-Out prefers for customers to paw through each bag until they discover which one is theirs. The employee (Anton) indicated which bag was mine, and I left. Unfortunately, the other patron decided it was his job to verbally assault me in the parking lot. He followed me right to my car and screamed at me and blasted me with profanity. It was very scary. As far as the food goes, the burgers were fine, the price was fair, but the fries were dried and desiccated. Just really weird, mealy fries. I don't feel safe every going to this location again, so I won't be back.

That means the full lineup of toppings, just like they do in Chicago. It's the real deal. The sides are fantastic as well. The crinkle-cut fries are always solid, and the onion rings are super crispy and addictive. If you're trying to behave a little, the chopped salad is my wife's favorite. It's fresh, loaded with flavor, and honestly one of the best salads you'll get anywhere. And here's the surprise for people who haven't tried it...the hamburger is fantastic. Big, meaty, juicy, and full of flavor. I'll say it plainly. It's better than just about any fast-food or fast-casual burger out there. Bottom line...Portillo's isn't just another restaurant. I try to get her attention again for a few more minutes & she's avoiding me walking around the section where I'm sitting. Then she asks someone if there's "anyone who needs seats" and grabs 2 menus & approaches the table again, this time I explain the whole situation & she gives a half assed apology & tells me she has "2 people who need this table now." I relent & go back to wait by the door. After another 6 minutes of waiting our food gets brought to the dining room by another server & she has to go find us by the front door. Now I'm eating in my car, the fries are delicious & perfectly crispy with a soft fluffy inside. The pepperoni pizza is delicious with some nice small slices of pepperoni so they aren't split between bites. & the burger tastes pretty good, the patty is well toasted & the brioche bun is a nice touch. The food is fantastic which is a bummer because I don't think I'll be frequenting this location if service continues to be like this. However I believe it can be improved with just more communication & a united front & listening to someone when they're talking & not walking off mid conversation. I will not try & pretend like I am not at fault here because I did complicate things when I tried to dine in after ordering to-go, but there are better ways to deal with these things.
