I do like me some Taco Casa, but it is a bit expensive especially if you're used to Taco Bell prices. However it is definitely worth trying, and this particular location is nice. On this particular visit we were just getting a quick snack of some cheese dip and chips and their version of an enchilada. I have tried pretty much everything on the menu over the years and it's all good in my opinion. First let me tell you oh my gosh . I walk in in the place looks like it's closed there's one person sitting down and no one behind the counter. Then I finally seen someone and I said hi there then they didn't say anything back. I have been to 3 of these places. Forney has to be the worst location of them all. Went there today and ordered some food, asked if I could get the nacho's made "non take out" for anyone that has been there they separate the ingredients for take out. I was told no! The aspiring rapper said that he had procedures to follow even after the cook told him they could do it. My advice to the , almost 40 year old is don't give up your day job. Wow talk about going downhill. Went tonight and was 'greeted' by a tall blond kid who was noticeably bothered that (gasp) a customer was interrupting his good time with his coworkers. While I was sitting waiting on our food, some kid came in eating a bag of Takis and 2 of the employees came out front of the counter with him, looking out a side door at trucks or girls or SOMETHING... I heard a couple of F bombs during it. Eventually Taki left and then 2 boys all in black (employees?) came in with fast food ( one bag looked like the Raising Canes logo) and at that point went behind the counter and there were like 6-7 kids basically having a good old time. If this is the way this Taco Casa is run, we'll just go to Taco Bueno or Taco Bell from now on. AND... the place STUNK. Don't know if maybe it was the trash can but UGH. Also, what is the charge for an extra little Cup of meat? One day I was charged .79 for one. Today, skinny happy blond charged me something like $2.37 each for 2 little cups. They do not meet regulations and are not microchip compliant. Making us use a different card. They forgot one of our three drinks. They lost our order and we had to tell them it again. This is definitely a change from Taco Bell and Bueno. This place is always busy but the wait isn't long. The food is cheap and tastes good. I'd eat it there, the food doesn't travel well. Everything is always fresh. It's attached to a gas station and the parking is sometimes a little strained. Getting in and out off of FM 548 can be challenging also, especially during rush hour. Oh no, finally after about 20 visits I had a BAD one, a really bad visit which will make me question ever wearing my Taco Casa t-shirt again if I had one. I always rave about this place to people who are new to the area. Sadly, OLYMPUS HAS FALLEN FOLKS... The tacos were so friggin' greasy I had heartburn the entire next day. The grease literally soaked through the hard taco shell and made them soggy. OMG, its never happened before. I thought they didn't fry their beef, now I'm just confused. They have changed the name of Taco Tuesday to some other Goofy name. I mean with Taco Tuesday how can you go wrong? They've raised their prices and no longer let you mix tacos and burritos in the 10 pack special. We do not fry our beef, however sometimes the a batch that was cooked up can get greasier than others due to multiple factors. I can make sure to tell the store to ensure they are draining the grease from the meat more thoroughly. However for the new specials and prices raising was due to prices rising on the products we buy. As you may be aware that even though we would love to keep the prices the same, we are still a business that need to make a profit. Taco Tuesday was too expensive for most stores to continue doing and they were losing money. So we came up with Super Tuesday so that the customer would still have a special that wouldn't put us out of business. As for the new 12 pack, your options are all tacos, all burritos, or 6 tacos and 6 burritos. So you can still mix them. I'm sorry you aren't happy with the recent changes. I am a true Taco Casa fan! When I discovered the one in Forney I was so excited. I watched it being built from the ground up. I couldn't wait for the doors to open! The tacos are soo good you want to order at least 3! The prices are excellent. It compares in price to places like Taco Bell, but the taste, oh that taste! The tacos are big and full of meat and cheese! The staff is very friendly. I had the opportunity to meet the owner as well and she is just a gem! I Love taco Casa. So glad we have one in Forney. This one is connected to a large gas station but don't let make you think it is any less bueno. Look, don't be a snob. You can feed yourself , big-appetited man, and two kids for like $10. Food is always hot and surprisingly fresh, the workers nicer than most, and the frijoles? Perfect for a Friday. The eating area is always clean, as are the bathrooms. We stop in about once a week, and it's one of the few places that doesn't give me a massive dose of the "fast food stomach icks". Horrible experience. Went through drive through, very slow. Finally, get to food window, hand the young man my money, he drops the $5 bill out the window and expected me to get out of my car to get it.
