The service was excellent--friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The food was some of the best I've ever eaten, and that's saying something considering how much I've traveled and dined over the years. There are two other locations that serve the same excellent menu, but this historic square setting makes this one especially memorable. The chips and salsa were perfectly balanced and a great way to start the meal. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back. See you there!

I left my purse there and they held it for me until I got there in a panic to get it. That says so much about them. Now the food. The menu is pretty big with lots of good options. I got the fajita tacos and my husband got the chicharrón tacos. I didn't try those because I'm just not a fan but he said they were really good. The fajita tacos were good! Loaded with meat and well seasoned. They have some really good salsa. Red is my favorite, it's spicier than the green but the green is still good! The chips and salsa were good! We are definitely going to try everything on that menu.

The food is always good, even when ordering via delivery. I've had their breakfast tacos , Street tacos , menu do, enchiladas, taco bowls, tortas, etc... But my new favorite has been the carne asada tostada hands down! The crispiness from the tostada and the bold flavor of the Carne asada with theie green and red sauces- OMG! I order one with every entree as an appetizer. Lol! His barbacoa and pastor meats are always full of flavor But IYKYK, the real MVP here is Joel- the owner! He keeps the place hyped with great music, he has a great personality and is good with kids as well! The restaurant has room to dine-in but it is a bit quaint. It is in the heart of a bustling area, so you can totally hang out in the area and then stop at 3 Hermanos for dinner! This place is SUPER AFFORDABLE even though you get a lot of food with massive flavors. You should definitely try this place, it'll quickly become your go to... Thank me later!

We just left Hugo's Mexican Restaurant in Red Oak, Texas, and unfortunately our experience was…read moredisappointing this time. We had to send our queso back because the meat tasted old. It was replaced with ground beef, which tasted much better. What also stood out was that the manager, Chris, walked around greeting every table except ours. We noticed he continued greeting other guests as people came and went, and as an African American family, it made us feel uncomfortable and overlooked. This is not the kind of experience we are used to at Hugo's. Previous managers have always been welcoming and treated everyone fairly, which is one reason we've continued supporting this restaurant over the years. The food was also mediocre compared to past visits and definitely did not taste the same. We have never sent food back before and really hated having to do so, but we didn't want to risk getting sick. We do plan to return because Hugo's has always been known for good food and great customer service. We just hope Chris was simply having an off day, or that improvements are made so every customer feels equally welcomed and valued.

During our lunch visit, my wife ordered the Enchiladas Guanajuato, and I had the Pupusa Plate. We started with the Choriqueso appetizer, which was absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and prepared with care. After enjoying our first visit so much, we came back for breakfast. My wife ordered the Mexican breakfast with chorizo and eggs served with fresh flour tortillas, and once again, the meal was outstanding. One of the highlights of both visits was meeting Robert, the co-owner. He and his wife own and operate the restaurant, and Robert took the time to explain the cultural differences between Salvadorian and Mexican cuisine. His knowledge, hospitality, and patience made ordering easy and added a personal touch that made us feel like valued guests rather than just customers. The restaurant itself is clean, welcoming, and comfortable. It has one spacious, clean unisex restroom, which we appreciated. It's easy to see the pride the owners take in their food and customer service. Based on our experiences, we've already decided we'll be regular customers. If you're in Lancaster or anywhere nearby, we highly recommend stopping by El Comal Asaderos Salvadorian & Mexican Cuisine. Whether you're craving authentic Salvadorian dishes like pupusas or classic Mexican favorites, you won't be disappointed. Great food, warm hospitality, and a family-owned atmosphere make this place a true hidden gem. We look forward to many more visits!
