Went to this location for dinner for my family. Went thru drive thru. Had to wait 10 min. Even though there were no cars in line and only 3 cars in the lot.got home, beans were sour. Called and spoke with Adan, manager and he was so rude. I called to let him know about the situation and to check his product, not to request free food. The service and the food that we received from this location were not very pleasant! I've been to another Taco Cabana before and had a much better experience. We were in the middle of our long drive from Kansas City to South Texas when we stopped at this location for dinner. The lady that was taking our order did not provide good customer service. She did not greet us with a smile and we can barely hear her talk! My husband had to ask her to speak up a number of time. Then, when we received our food, my steak street tacos were not good at all. The steak did not look like they were done right, honestly I couldn't even tell what type of meat it was from first glance because it looked like it was boiled. I went at 11 am on a Saturday morning. It took 25 minutes to receive my to go order. The assumed manager would come to the front of store and take orders and then return to the kitchen so customers entering had to wait 2-3 minutes before even being greeted. I don't understand why the delay as I saw at least 4 employees. If that's not enough you need to add an additional person to the team especially on a Saturday . Terrible. Just terrible. Went inside on a Sunday morning because the drive-thru was slammed. We were just picking up breakfast for a road trip, and thought inside might be faster. There was a long line and one register open. The teen working the register was not very friendly (though she had great nails!) and isn't quick on the fly. I ordered bean and egg breakfast tacos and asked to add bacon and cheese. It took three tries for her to figure out what I wanted because "we don't have that taco." Three times we went over the order, and she said I'd have to pay extra for the cheese and bacon. Great. Let's do it! Of course, paid extra and got zero bacon. There was also no coffee, though a sweet manager made some right away. My friends' order was wrong, too. After waiting a very long time because they had to make bacon (again, why was I missing mine?), they were missing two tacos from their order. This is the dumbest restaurant. Every time I go here either their computers are down or their credit/debit system isn't working. Look, if your computers are down, write the order on paper the old-school way. Do you realize how much money you are losing because you don't have a backup plan? Then enter the orders later when computers are back up so it will update your inventory. Think outside the box! read more

Taco Cabanas tend to be hit or miss. This one is a complete miss. So bad! Stopped here on a Sunday evening about 6. There were several other customers but many empty tables. Every single table, without exception, was dirty. We were in a hurry so we didn't want to find another place to eat. We placed our order--husband had a fajita and I had street tacos. I asked that they put no cheese as I have a dairy allergy. Twenty minutes later (yes, I checked) our food was brought out--my beans covered in cheese. The guy put the food down and left so fast I didn't even have time to say anything. As we were in a hurry, I just didn't eat anything the cheese touched. What I did eat...never again. The meat in the street tacos tasted "off"--a sourness that wasn't just the marinade. I didn't finish the food and have no plans to return, ever. Food tasted good, but the bean and cheese tacos had maybe a teaspoon of cheese on them. The pico looked old, not fresh. It took over 10 minutes to get our breakfast tacos. When my husband went back to order 4 more tacos, it was over 5 minutes before someone came to take his order--and we were the only in-store customers. Tables were sticky, not clean. There was no ice in the machine. Bathroom had no soap or working towel dispenser (which is gross since employees use it and need to be washing hands). This Lancaster TX location has horrible service and is filthy! Went yesterday for a quick bite. Went through the drive through and sat there in my car trapped for at least 30 min! I would have drove away however I was literally trapped with cars in front and back and no way to exit. I got out of my car after 30 min waiting while it sat in the drive through and I went inside to see what the hold up was. I asked for the manager whose explanation was the tortilla machine was broken! Smh. Sooooo the broken tortilla machine caused the whole restaurant to be off? So what happened all the other times I've gone and the service was slow as all get out??? Any who the place was filthy! The kitchen was dirty and in shambles with old dried up beef and what looked like chicken left sitting out on the counter and grill. This is a reflection of poor management! They really need to fix the issues or just close! By the time I got back to my car only one car had been served! Needless to say when my car reached the window I drove right out! The staff of this Taco Cabana is very friendly and the food is fresh and tasty. Also, it is very clean. I've often observed them cleaning the tables and windows while there (and even the parking lot sometimes) and when you are finished, they will often take your trash for you. The tortillas are made right in the store and are very fresh as is the salsa bar which has more choices than another popular Mexican restaurant. There is a patio area if you choose to dine outside, though normally I prefer inside unless it is crowded at the time I come. read more

I strongly suggest going to any other location but this one. I noticed that the service had been really lacking lately, but I figured it may be due to the fact that I always ended up going there after a night on the town, but now I see that the standards at this location are due to the poor management. One night I went to the location around 7 pm (way earlier than normal) and I was shocked that the wait was still a bit long. I ordered a personal nacho, paid, and kept it moving. When I arrived home I was shocked to see that I had a few chips swimming in a ton of sauce. Usually I'm cool with having more cheese than chips, but this was ridiculous! So I call up to the store to let them know the problem and the manager who claimed that her name was Maria was a complete cow to me! She basically would not listen to anything I had to say and was rude and accused me of trying to get something for free. FOR REAL?! At that point I became curt and demanded to know her manager. I contacted the corporate office and they did not contact me back, so I called back a week later and submitted a complaint online. I finally got a reply and let me say that the response was underwhelming to say the least. I felt insulted when they offered for me to get a meal for free. I did not file a complaint to get something for free- I did because Maria was beyond rude and insulting and needs to be trained on proper customer service. Without saying, I have not taken them up on their offer and will not in the future. If I do return to Taco Cabana, it will be at the Greenville Ave. location where I've never experienced one problem over the many years I've eaten there. It is a shame to think that all of this could have been handled with the offer of remaking an order that evening. read more

We sit down after bussing our own table and everyone is waiting on food. The floor is filthy. The tortilla machine isn't even going. Workers in the back are slow as molasses. The service at this location is horrible! I do not expect much from a fast food restaurant but I do expect to be treated like my patronage is valued. Last night I watched the cashier tell 3 customers (who were not together) that there would be a 25 minute wait. They all left angry. However, there was a steady flow of customers being served at the drive through window. He also refused to accept my ID for margaritas because it did not have a horizontal picture. I am 26 years old and my ID has not expired. He also said that there wasn't any way that I could have my margarita on the rocks. Which is ridiculous because I'm only asking for the mixture, with ice. This is one of the worst places to eat I have ever been to. We are Taco Cabana fans so even though it didn't look like there were many people brave enough to go in, we decided to give it a shot. First let's just say the staff was terrible. It was plastered all over the menu that you got a free drink with your platter. We ordered one of the platters so we asked for our free drink. Good lord you would think we asked them to pay for it out of the own pocket or something, the "cashier" looked at us like we had two heads. We had to show her everywhere it was advertised WITHIN THE STORE in plain view. She called over the manager who argued with us. The drink was only $1 but it was the principal by then. The manager didn't even know about it or what to do, so she ended up just voiding our drinks and giving them to us. I don't guess she thought anyone else would ever ask for that same CLEARLY ADVERTISED special. Then they served us our soup with no spoons and of course there were none to be found anywhere. My husband went up to the counter and only the manager was standing there so he asked her for spoons. She turned right around, went in her office and shut the door. He waited and waited, thinking she might possibly be getting the spoons but she never came back out. By then our soup was ice cold so we just left. But even if that had not happened we would not go back. The place is a dump. The women's bathroom door was stuck open and wouldn't close so you could see the stalls inside (which were run down as well) and the paper towel holder didn't work. And SHOCKER, no toilet paper. And whatever you do don't eat off the salsa bar. There were kids playing in it and nobody said anything, also the salsa ranch dip looked like they had added water to it or something. The whole place is just plain trashy. And this wouldn't have kept us away if it were the only thing wrong, but the music was turned up so loud my husband and I couldn't even hear each other. Also most of the ceiling lights were burned out. So the only reason I even gave them any stars at all is because I couldn't figure out how to leave zero. read more

My husband and I had our first encounter with Taco Cabana couple of days ago. We were little curious about this place since there's none in California but was not expecting much since we been to tons of Tex-Mex joints in L.A. and we was not impress with most of them. This one is pretty ok. Nice alternative to place like Taco Bell. I like the fact that they make their stuff from scratch. My husband ordered Beef Cabana Bowl and Chicken Taco and I ordered Fajita Steak Taco. Everything tasted pretty fresh. My husband got stuffed from Bowl, he almost couldn't finish the Chicken Taco which is rare since he can put down some food. I also like the condiment stand with several different salsa and Lemon, Lime, Onion, Jalapeno. I can see us going back there again. read more

"Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." Unfortunately I have had a couple of poor experiences at this particular Taco Cabana. Last year I went through the drive through and ordered a cheese enchilada plate, but I asked the staff to switch the sauce on the top because I prefer the tomatillo sauce. They did put the correct sauce on my enchiladas, but it was old and sour. The tomatillo sauce made me feel nauseous and I couldn't finish my meal. At that time I asked for a refund. I returned to the restaurant and they swiped my card but I never received the refund. Today - MANY months later - I tried this location again hoping that the service would have improved and my last experience would have been a one-off. It was not. I again ordered my staple cheese enchilada plate and tomatillo sauce. They got the sauce correct again! That was great! But this time they gave me beef enchiladas instead of cheese enchiladas. For the second time now, my lunch break was wasted and I am still hungry. I have again requested a refund, and when I return to the restaurant hopefully they will refund me correctly. But whether or not I receive a refund is irrelevant. This Taco Cabana location is consistently not paying attention to detail and getting orders wrong.
