My wife and I had such a great experience at El Comal Asaderos Salvadorian & Mexican Cuisine that we visited twice in two days--once for lunch and then returned the next morning for breakfast! During our lunch visit, my wife ordered the Enchiladas Guanajuato, and I had the Pupusa Plate. We started with the Choriqueso appetizer, which was absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and prepared with care. After enjoying our first visit so much, we came back for breakfast. My wife ordered the Mexican breakfast with chorizo and eggs served with fresh flour tortillas, and once again, the meal was outstanding. One of the highlights of both visits was meeting Robert, the co-owner. He and his wife own and operate the restaurant, and Robert took the time to explain the cultural differences between Salvadorian and Mexican cuisine. His knowledge, hospitality, and patience made ordering easy and added a personal touch that made us feel like valued guests rather than just customers. The restaurant itself is clean, welcoming, and comfortable. It has one spacious, clean unisex restroom, which we appreciated. It's easy to see the pride the owners take in their food and customer service. Based on our experiences, we've already decided we'll be regular customers. The food was okay but if you love garlic then this place is just for you . The chips and salsa where brought out first and that salsa just hits you straight with canned minced garlic . Then put food arrived and somehow it all had the taste of just straight garlic, me and my family walked out with garlic breath. read more

Small restaurant but some of the freshest Mexican food we've eaten on our trips thru these restaurants. The chips r homemade, the salsa served with them is not very spicy but that's fine for me. We ordered the queso fundido that is served with 2 corn tortillas. The tortillas r thick but with the chips we had plenty to scoop up all the cheesy, sausage goodness. My husband had the chicken enchilada enchilada plate. I had the chicken papusas. Everything was so fresh. Dishes come with the best refried beans and Spanish rice. Those beans r really, really good. The papusas were thin with fresh tomatoes and chicken. My husbands enchiladas were just as fresh and really good. Servings aren't enormous but their prices are really good for the service and the fresh ingredients and care they put into their food. We had plenty to eat. I was so happy when I found out there was a place making pupusas near our home. Sadly, I have to say They were the worse pupusas I've ever had! Not to mention the young lady taking my order didn't even know what loroco was. The curtido was texmex style and horrible to me as well. Never been here before so we decided to try.. walked in to all the lights off and HOT! waitress was nice but when we tried to order tacos we were being FORCED to order 2 of each... like What?! This is easily the worst Mexican Food I've ever ordered. THE BEEF FAJITAS where chewie,pasties, no flavor. 1 order of Beef fajitas came with two thick, bland tortilla only. The red salsa was fine after a couple of packets of salt where added. I ordered a side of guacamole, it was essentially diced avocado and pica di giant. This place is a small hole in the wall type of restaurant. We came in around one and ordered our food, it took about 40 minutes to get it and there was only two other tables there. They gave free chips and salsa. We ordered the quesadilla, pupusas, and the taco plate. The pupusas and quesadilla were good, a solid 7/10. However, the quesadilla didn't come with any side condiments like advertised. The tacos could of had better salsa, they gave me the same salsa for the chips. I prefer a spicy salsa for my tacos. I am very disappointed in the food. Especially the pupusas. I ordered chicken/cheese and pork/cheese. I received more tortilla flour (masa) than I did the actual meat and cheese portions. The only good thing that would be worth ordering is the guacamole dip, salsa, and chips. I was hoping at least the pupusas would be off the chain since they are a Salvadoran restaurant. But food was very unsatisfactory. Almost like they are trying to just take your money and not give you any protein. I'm going to give them another chance and let you guys know how they fair out on the 3rd time ordering.
