Oh man, as soon as I saw the name I knew I was in! This place was amazing. Super fast, we upgraded to grouper and it was crunchy and fresh... I'm drooling now. They had a coke creation dispenser too, my kids love these! Love that they had beer choices and indoor and outdoor seating. It was clean on the inside and such a great concept, definitely stop by here! read more

I can't say enough about this place... the food was fresh. The service was excellent. A little bit of a wait but so so so soooo worth it. Loved the colorful art work around the restaurant. We had left overs that we brought to the beach. Can't wait to come back here to eat. read more

Ok first check in as. there is a.10% off for yelp users, I totally missed it. I got 2 soft corn tacos 1 with ground beef one with hamburger. The steak looks and taste like burnt hamburger, gross. I didn't even finish my"strak". The ground beef is good I did enjoy that taco. The beef empanada we got taste like beer battered fish. My partner got the pulled chicken nachos and he liked them and where a big amount so he was happy. The place is warm and it stinks like fried food so I'm sure I will smell the rest of the night. I tried it, I'm good, zero desire to be back. read more

I'm originally from NY, and I visited Clearwater about a year ago. I loved finding this taco spot. I mean who doesnt love tacos?? Prices are extremely reasonable and the portions are generous. I love that they offer vegan/vegetarian options because a lot of Mexican restaurants don't usually offer many veggie options. The food is delicious and the wait time is minimal. If you're in the area and spent an entire day laying out at the beach and are starving from being in the sun all day... this is the place to get your belly filled! They have a large drink menu and they have Spanish desserts available as well. If I'm ever in the area, this is definitely a place I would come back to. And of course I'm back a year later and decided to come again! The food is fried and fresh lol! Do yourself a favor and try it! read more

Nice casual Mexican restaurant that is very vegetarian friendly. Every dish allows you to "choose your protein", and Taco Bus gives you four options: mushrooms, vegan steak, plant protein (tofu), and butternut squash. We ordered the tacos with mushrooms and the chimichanga with tofu. Both were tasty and filling. There are sauces and hot sauce to add if you want (I did and it enhanced the food). The chimichanga included Mexican rice, which the manager assured me was also vegetarian (most have chicken stock). So, overall, for an order-at-the-counter place, a good place to eat and vegetarian friendly. read more

First, let me start by saying the photos I've attached do NOT do these tacos justice. The tacos at this place taste amazing! I'm a creature of habit, so I went with the hard shell filled with ground beef, cheese, and pico de gallo, topped with some sour cream. These are easily in the top 3 taco places I've ever tried. If you're in the Clearwater Beach, FL area, you must give them a try. The chips and salsa are also very good. Highly recommended! read more

This place was convenient and delicious!!! Their queso was sooooo yummy and the secret sauce in the chicken yum!! Tacos (not pictured) were so good. Only thing I didn't enjoy was the side of rice and beans. The rice didn't seem cooked. But everything else was an A rating! read more

Wasn't really expecting too much from this place but when we got our food home, we were all blown away by the flavors. I got the blackened seafood burrito and it was everything I was craving. The blackening seasoning was flavorful and spicy without being overwhelming. The seafood was juicy, plump, and not rubbery. The addition of their salsas definitely kicked it up a notch. This was honestly probably one of the best burritos I've ever had and for me, that's saying quite a lot. I wish we had gone here more than once during our stay. read more

Taco Bus - 3 Butternut Squash Tacos, 2 crunchy 1 soft - Food Trucks Near Me - Clearwater, Florida

This caught my son eyes when we walked past it our first day in Clearwater. It was just down the street from our hotel. Had a great atmosphere and the food selections were fantastic. Definitely a nice place to enjoy a low key lunch or early dinner especially if you're tired of only eating seafood. read more

I Just had one of the best Taco's I've ever had. Passed by here while taking a walk for lunch and decided to stop in. I wasn't too hungry but figured a Taco would scratch that itch. Good choice as it didn't disappoint. It was about $3.50 and worth it. Nice thick taco filled with meat, cheese and toppings. Very flavorful and fresh. The Taco was crunchy and tasted good. Would definitely recommend the Tacos. read more

Great location right across from the Clearwater Hotel. The chips were fresh, hot and crispy and were delicious with the self-serve pump red salsa. The green salsa is spicy but also good. The salsa they provided with the chips looks the same as the self serve salsa but was a bit sweeter and tomatoey. The marinated shredded pork taco was tasty but the shell was not heated. Tried the marinated chicken taco also and while it looked great, it was cold all the way through. Unfortunate as I was looking forward to trying both. Self-serve soda had many flavors. Atmosphere was light, alternating between Maroon 5 and Mariachi. I was in the dining room with a family and a couple and plenty of available seating. Many customers getting take out. Staff was friendly. They have margaritas but I didn't try one. Prices are fair. Now for a walk on the beach! read more

Sooo good. Delicious fresh tacos. Quick service and easy to order on the app and run in from the beach to pick up

I got a quesadilla with vegan steak, cheese, guac, rice and beans ($13) which was very filling and savory. This is one of the only places in the Clearwater strip with a solid vegan option that is not a basic burger or sad salad. When we went Saturday for a late lunch around 2, the wait time was 30 minutes from entering the restaurant to receiving the food. The staff members were friendly, and there is free wifi. The silverware and napkin section even had free mild red salsa and spicy green salsa, but they are not always stocked. read more

Taco Bus - Quesadilla with vegan steak and guac/rice/beans add ons ($13) - Food Trucks Near Me - Clearwater, Florida

We ate there tonight and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Together, we had five tacos and chips and queso. All of it while, we were people watching at the tables out front of the restaurant. The only thing I wish there was, was a list visible for alternative toppings instead of the order taker have to constantly repeat them to customers. It is a place we will definitely visit again. Thanks for the great service and food. read more

TACOS. Need I say more??? This place has great tacos and other Mexican fare ... I had a chimichanga and tacos. Would recommend the chicken over the beef which is the opposite of what I'd normally say ... however, both were good. Both by wife and I really enjoyed the experience and the Taco Bus is an experience beyond just the food. The attitude of the place is very obvious and different and fun. read more

Ok so I gotta be 100% honest with this review. Absolutely no fluff. The vibe here was cool. The staff seemed nice. They had a good selection of drinks. I ordered 3 hard shell tacos. One spicy pork, one shredded Chicken, and one Steak. The steak was TERRIBLE. I took one bit and spit it out and threw that MFer in the trash. That happened to be the first one I bit into so it kinda tarnished the rest of it. The pork was pretty good and so was the chicken. But it was tough to enjoy after the steak debacle. Have a nice day. read more

There are many inconsistencies. One person in my party ordered the Twiin Grande Tacos with chicken, refried beans, rice, cheese, pico and sour cream. She said her food was delicious and she's a taco/burrito fanatic. Another person ordered Steak Twiin Grande Tacos. He wasn't aware of the up charge for steak. There is a small $ symbol to show the up charge but is easily missed. The menu is also unclear listing toppings for some of the menu items but not others, while also having a "3rd stop" saying all menu items come with the same toppings. This left one party member with some toppings they didn't want simply because the menu was unclear and confusing. Additionally, 2 of us got the steak as our protein and felt the quality of it wasn't worth the $2 up charge. It was maybe a sight upgrade from frozen steak-ums and there was no seasoning even though the menu advertised it as being marinated in Mexican seasonings. All in all, it appears you should choose chicken over steak as your protein. Hopefully the other options offer more for the palette than the steak does. The workers are friendly enough and the dining area has a relaxed feel. read more

They got the food out really quickly. I got two tacos, which were a bit small. I was really hungry so could have gone for another one. You can pick flour or corn tortilla. There are some premium protein options like steak and shrimp; they are $1.00 extra on tacos and $2.00 on everything else. The place is cute and there is beach access close by. Best quick serve food, service and prices! We've been here two or three times every time we visit Clearwater!

Just landed here from SoCal and did not realize Florida has Mexican food that is of this level. Josh was awesome and he prepared the Best tostada with fresh ingredients. You can imagine I have tried every item on the menu and it is about as great as they come Definitely worth trying and priced very reasonably with great service and a smile. read more

My wife and I had quesadillas at this chain's downtown Tampa location about three years ago, and we were not happy with what we were served. Our food was to quesadillas what a Lada Niva is to automobiles. Despite that, I decided to give Taco Bus' Clearwater Beach location a try. I just made sure that I asked for something other than a quesadilla. I had a Chimichanga with grilled chicken for $8.99 and a fountain soda for $1.99. My Chimichanga was larger than I expected and tasted better than I expected. I'm glad I gave this chain another shot. I am tempted to even try this location's quesadilla in the future just to see if my experience with the Taco Bus in Tampa was an aberration. read more

My friends were staying at the Opal Sands resort and found out about this restaurant because it was right next to their hotel. It is a great option of you need some quick food versus going to a sit down restaurant with wait staff. I enjoy visit here, their food is pretty good especially for the value since it is pretty cheap. They have lots of options for food also it is not just tacos. They have $5 margaritas. The clearwater blue is so good! I highly recommend trying that flavor. The fact that they have a mini bus inside is so cute. I can always appreciate the extra effort put in for decor themes. I would definitely come back next time I am in clearwater. read more

This is the worst restaurant in Clearwater Beach - and that is really saying something. The staff is unprofessional and in four visits they have never gotten an order right. When you call then about it they want nothing to do with making it right. The staff member who took my order told my son when he went to pick it up that i was some "old ass man" and did not want to give him the order. This place should be embarrassed to call itself a reputable food establishment. read more

Redemption. I had taco bus for the first time at the original location and the chips were horrible. So the wife and I tried the beach location. The good news is the chips were good. I ordered the chimichanga and it came out perfect. A lightly crisp exterior with perfectly cooked shredded pork and delicious beans inside. The cheese sauce on top was a nice touch. Unfortunately their plastic knives are horrible for cutting it so i just picked it up and got messy. I also ordered the horchata and it was good. Its a sweet rice milk drink with cinnamon. The wife got bowl and she liked it a lot. She is very picky with Mexican food and it passed her test. read more
