Taco Bus has wonderful service, excellent food and atmosphere. A must go if you are in Clearwate!

Tacos are large. I had 2 Shrimp tacos on hard shell tortilla. Also a chicken quesadilla. Forced myself to finish it. They have Mexican Coke, a large variety of juice and some smoothies, beer. Staff were friendly and it was raining hard outside as they got a 2pm rush. I was waiting for the rain to let up myself, but hunger overtook, I walked 200-300 feet to the crosswalk in a thunderstorm. Air was on and felt cool. As I was a bit wet. About 25 people had smiles on their face as the food is fresh and fabulous. I am leaving in the morning, or I'd stop back. Seating for about 65-70. 2 tops & 4 tops. Enjoy... I certainly did. read more

My food was OK, not great. I went back to an old review from another taco bus location that I went to where I absolutely loved the torta with vegan steak. I was very disappointed when I did not love this one as much. The bread was as delicious as ever, if you like mayo, this is definitely a sandwich you should get because they slather on the mayo. I found the refried beans to really overwhelm the sandwich with the small amount of vegan steak strips they put on it. They must have changed their vegan steak recipe because it tasted nothing like it did at the other location. Although to be fair, I haven't been to the other location in probably a decade. The vegan strips were very crumbly I wouldn't even call them strips, they were little bunches. I think this sandwich has the potential to be great, but it needs to have a good protein showing. My husband got chipotle chicken taco, and a steak taco. The chipotle chicken is actually a chipotle sauce that is creamy, which he doesn't like. I ended up eating his chipotle chicken, which I thought was OK. We also got chips and queso, the chips are good and the queso was fine. This location has both inside and outside seating, we were there at about 6 PM and it was pretty empty so there were tons of tables open. They did have a TV showing big city greens so if you have kids, they would love that. I probably would give this place another try, but I would definitely order a different dish. read more

The best tacos on the planet. They have all the different types of taco shells hard soft burrito quesadillas taco bowl for taco salad whatever taco is available they make it. I like to get the ground beef hardshell tacos. It comes fully loaded with all the veggies. You will not find a better taco place in the state of Florida. On Tuesdays, it's two tacos for five dollars. On a normal day, it's eight dollars for two. They have a parking lot that has about a few spots, very limited located in the Holiday Inn parking lot near the building. The service is spectacular. They work really hard back there. It goes by really fast. The portions are ginormous and still the service is fast. They are not serving any lettuce or any raw onions or raw jalapeños at this location due to the veggie outbreak that's nationwide. Their only option for onions is pickled red onions and they put raw shredded cabbage instead of lettuce. The combo is still really good. I actually like this much better. read more

Taco Bus - 2 tacos for $5 on Tuesdays 10/10 - Food Trucks Near Me - Clearwater, Florida

We were on this side of Clearwater Beach which is closer to the Holiday Inn, Opal Sands, JW Marriott, and Shephards Resorts so we walked here. We had been to Taco Bus back in the day when it was so popular. It's still in Clearwater Beach and St Pete Beach to name a few. We were very impressed. This is a nice spacious location with a good amount of seating inside and out. You order at the window and the food is quick. This is nice when you want to spend time at the beach and not just sitting a while at a sit down restaurant. Prices are really good and online you can request a $5 coupon which you can use once you order for the first time. I ordered the shrimp taco salad. This came with lots of good size shrimp and I had sauces on the side bc I didn't want anything spicy. Everything was so good. Happy with the shrimp count too. They did not skimp. The pineapple Agua Fresca was a perfect way to wash it down. Glad we stopped here. Definitely worth it. My husband got the chicken taco salad and tres leches cake with horchata and enjoyed it also. read more

Got two tacos, chicken one hot and 1 not. Over all they were ok but nothing to call come about. The coleslaw in there was tasted so kuddos. Got a child quesadilla- it was ok but a bit burnt on it. The cheese in it was congealed quickly. Chimichanga- my husband loves them but didn't like these here. Plus side steak in hg was great but the filling was small. Got a margarita- it was great! Good job. The food was subpar, more like a drunk college hang out. I do think it's cool that there is 1/2 a bus In there. read more

Would definitely go back. Taco salad was good but I got it without the street corn sauce. (Didn't like it). Service was good. But it wasn't busy. Cute and festive restaurant. Queso was ok have had better honestly. Went back and tried the tres leche.....it was so watery! read more

First of all, I'm from Indiana, we have great tacos here. But this place was mind blowing. We got a huge chicken chipotle burrito, steak tacos (3), a fish quesadilla, 2 sodas and water for 40 bucks. Food was huge, price was perfect. They have a red salsa and green Verde salsa station you can get for free. Did I mention there 5 dollar margs?! You can eat and drink on the patio, if you're a smoker you can also smoke out there while you drink. Love the atmosphere and over all quality of the food is fantastic. Absolutely love this place. We will be back every year from now on. Definitely worth every penny. Also, our service was excellent too! The lady that has served me consistently since we have stopped in (twice now) has been incredibly wonderful. read more

I really enjoyed taco bus! I think it was one of the best foods that I had in Tampa during the week long stay!! I love the freshness of the ingredients and the vegan proteins were seasoned well. It was very affordable, and the corn tortilla was delicious! Where can you find a taco for $3.50? It was a huge portion too. The salsa verde was delicious. We came in late, so I appreciate the staff for being very kind and so hospitable! It was cool that they had a bus in the restaurant. read more

Went to have an early dinner on 9/9/26 2 4:32 PM. we ordered a Taco Salad and Pressed Quesadilla. I had paid the young lady and left her a tip on check # 59. The Taco salad was very good, the Quesadilla was literally sitting in either grease or oil. I didn't eat it. I went to the counter and asked if we should leave the tray with the plate on the table, here is where I became upset. The man said there are 2 garbage areas pick one. The girl who took our order left without even checking on us, thought that was what a tip was for. As I was walking back to my table a man sitting with another man and female stood up and asked me what was wrong. I told him and he said that was unacceptable. We then left. I think I should have at least gotten a refund for the Quesadilla's or the whole bill $ 29.24 for the way we were received. We were the only people in there except for the 3 people I mentioned above. Thank You for your time in reading my thoughts. Pat read more

Classic Tex-Mex restaurant with all the typical selections. Great atmosphere with the school bus as their interior motif. Food was great as fast food goes while eating with plastic silverware. I chose to eat small things such as the empanadas (super cheesy and delicious) and the Mexican street corn. The only thing is that I told the server that I wanted to sit down and eat, and they didn't serve it to me, I had to go to the counter and pick up the food. Other than that, the food was good. read more

Great fast and casual taco stop. The food and drink prices were reasonable and everything came out extremely fast. The elote was a bit challenging to eat since it was on the cob, and the sauce was a bit overpowering, but still a good choice. A perfect beach lunch stop. The staff were very friendly as well. The place is a little small in terms of limited seating inside so make sure to snag a spot early if you want to sit inside during lunchtime. read more

Taco Bus is a Clearwater Beach tradition for us. It is just a little fast, casual restaurant kind of like a Chipotle but less pretentious and more umptious. Sometimes there is a line but it moves pretty fast. My husband ordered 2 carnitas tacos and I ordered a carnitas quesadilla and a frozen mango margarita. We enjoyed it all. The margaritas are only $5 and they do the trick! The food is reliably delicious. If you want some tasty Mexican food that is a couple steps up from Taco Bell or Taco Johns, check out Taco Bus! PS they have Violife vegan cheese (in my opinion the best vegan cheese option) so even if you don't eat dairy, you can still enjoy a yummy quesadilla!) read more

Awesome tacos, got 3 soft corn shell tacos with pulled chicken (my favorite), ground beef (really good), and pulled pork (second favorite). My wife got the chicken quesadilla which was also awesome. Chips and salsa were really fresh and crispy. Aside from the food, the highlight was the agua de sandia (watermelon water). So freaking delicious and refreshing. Service was super friendly and food came out so fast. Ambiance was very chill. Great spot, will definitely go back again to try different tacos. read more

Okay so this time as mentioned in my first review I wanted to come back here and give it another chance....it is a "TACO" place so this time I got 3 Tacos and not the Burrito....the flavor was much better!!!! I got one of each type of plant offering that i didn't get last time....so Butternut Squash Taco, Vegan "Steak Strip" Taco and the Portabella Ranchero Taco all with Guacamole and Vegan Cheese.... I will now give this place 5 Stars....Service is commendable.... Food was definitely good and I know traditionally I would get soft tacos but I wanted the crunch in my taco so I got them as Hard Shell.... I noticed they have other locations but I would recommend coming here! They have a few TVs inside and they have an outdoor patio to eat.... read more

The guy at the counter was friendly. Helpful when I asked for his recommendations. I got 3 tacos. The fish was the best, it was a fried grouper that was light and fresh. Second was the marinated pork in a hard taco shell. I would skip the hard taco shells and get the soft corn tortillas. They tasted fresh and not store-bought. The third taco I got was a Carne Asada taco, it was good, but nothing special about it. Each taco comes with pico de gallo and shredded white cheese, maybe it's mozzarella. The Carne Asada had pickled red onions, which was a nice touch. I sat outside because it was a nice day. They have indoor seating. There is an upgrade charge for the grouper and the Carne Asada. The prices were reasonable three tacos for 9.99. You know it's a good spot when you see locals eating here. I would come back. read more

Well below average for tacos and quick Mexican food. Sure they're open late and serve beers, two stars for that. And it is in a phenomenal location, so +1 for that, but yeah just very average/below average on everything else. but overall 3 stars since the manager is actually reading these. But at the end of the day, this is a 3 star taco place at best, which, absolutely serves a purpose! Cheap eats down at Clearwater beach, rare. But absolutely no more than 3 stars no way no how...I mean, especially after eating tacos on the west coast and in Mexico, Belize, and YEAH, this place quickly gets back to 2 stars on taste, but, the location and rareness make this a solid 3 star quick Mexican spot on Clearwater beach. read more
