Bad customer service. The lady at the counter couldn't seem to grasp two tacos, and a plain 10" flour tortilla. The manager came over and showed her how to enter the flour tortilla. I got a little burrito, no sauce and no cheese, and told her my wife was allergic to dairy. She had to ask twice about how I wanted that. My wife took a bite then on the second bite said "dang. Where's the receipt?" It had cheese. On New Years, a salad with five croutons put her in the ER. We found out later that croutons had milk in them. My wife went back and talked to the lady at the counter and she rolled her eyes at my wife, and the manager walked in the back and wouldn't talk to her. I see why this is two stars. If there was a zero I would be happy. Ugh, what a bland, tasteless nothing. Taco meat nasty, rice tasteless. The beans were only fair. It was dressed up with sour cream and avocado which was the only good part of the meal. Never again Taco Bueno. You all need to change your name. read more

The short: Easily the most disappointing meal I've eaten so far this year. The long: Saturday at 8pm, with a register jockey who appears to be competing to be the most disinterested employee possible. Even though the place was next to empty, still took ten minutes to fill the order. Three street tacos and a small order of chips with queso with small drink. $9.40. While it did not taste bad, it didn't taste good either, just meh. But what was most disappointing was the size of the serving. Each street taco was small enough that I could literally eat it in one bite. No exaggeration or mouth-stuffing. About a teaspoon full of meat. The queso was in a one-ounce cup, with enough chips to fill a single hand with room to spare. Rather than complain (because the sluggish teenager who was there wasn't going to care), I just snarfed it down and left. I felt like I flushed a ten dollar bill down the toilet. Taco Bueno, if you're reading these reviews, I strongly recommend you do some secret shopper testing of this location and follow up with some training. The serving sizes were an unfunny joke, and the service is way sub-par even for minimum wage. read more

I wasn't aware of the business hours, upon pulling up to the location the signs were still on indicating that the drive thru was open. When I got to the box to order food the person inside was very rude and indicated they were closed. So if an establishment is closed why do you still have the drive thru open signs on 20 minutes after closing hours and this is not the first time I have dealt with this problem at this location. read more

I usually love Taco Bueno. It is our family's choice over it's competitor. However, this location has become beyond slow even before covid and well messy needless to say. They use to be spot on but each time we have ordered we are missing something even before covid. The people they seem to have right now are rude too!!! It makes me sad. read more

Breakfast- Usually not bad but this morning wasn't so good. It's the things you shouldn't see, i.e. dirt/dust on the garbage cans with the tray returns. Usually, the condiment bar is clean and fresh, again, not so much today. It was obvious that this mornings display was last nights, a bit dry on top. The quesadilla was still good. Walk in at 4:00 PM on Sunday. The place is not busy. I order my food. Go to look for a table and every one of the are filthy. Went to the counter and asked the young lady that took my order for a towel. Since she was making orders also I told her that I would wipe it down myself. You would think that someone would have eventually come out and cleaned the lobby but in the time it took me to scarf down what incoould stomach no one did. I say scarf down because the awful smell from the restrooms filled the entire dining area. The condiment area was also a mess. :p Stay away if you can. I have not been to a Taco Bueno in years. THe service is SUPER SLOW. I've been waiting 30 minutes for my food. I had to come inside because the drive thru was at a standstill and this has been ridiculous. My husband asked if it was almost done and the guy was so rude, he shoved the bag at us and told us to leave. We weren't rude at all when we asked. After getting it home the food wasn't even warm the cheese wasn't melted at all and I'm extremely disappointed. I won't be going back to the Kilgore taco bueno again. read more

First they tell me the soda machine is broken so I order sweet tea and when I get the drink it's watered down I sweet tea, also my vegan girlfriend ordered a cheese quesadilla and it was beef. The food was terrible and was a bad experience all together. I highly recommend you stay away. read more

First time going here yesterday. I should have walked out when I saw how filthy the place was . In the food prep area behind the counter the floors were dirty. Food and trash strewn all over. It was hard for order to be taken because manager lady was busy gossiping with a customer. No ice in the drink dispenser: the condiment bar was empty and needed to be refilled and cleaned up. Several employees seen sitting in the dining area just looking around . The table tops in dining area needed to be wiped off. The food was gross. I hope I don't get sick from eating here. Good food but HORRIBLE service! We weren't greeted and weren't told thank you. And it was DIRTY. The bathroom was gross, and the outside of the trash cans in the dining area were filthy. I mean, I know it's a trash can, but come on. Also, the drink machine ran out of ice and the guy at the counter just kept handing cups to customers instead of filling them with ice from his side of the counter. This review is not on the quality of the food. Bueno has awesome food for the price you pay. Their fresh bar is something most taco places don't have. The reason I gave it 2 Stars was for their "dishonesty." Without me knowing it the cashier rang up our value meals as "upsized." I get to the table and look at the receipt and all value meals were charged extra for the larger drink. I went back and the girl at the register and here's our conversation: Me - It looks like I was charged for a large meal on all our value meals. Her - My bad, since most people ask for the upsize, I just go ahead and ring it up. Me - So, what do I have... Her - ...(Interrupting) I can get you some nachos to make up the difference. Me - So what do I have to do to order the Meal #3 for $5.99? Her - You have to say you want the small and not upsized. Me - So you're telling me that if I don't want my meal up sized, I have to specify. Her - You can say like you want it small medium or large. End. This is a total scam!!! Check your receipt. This may not be coming from management, but it sure is shady to me. I never did once see a manager and maybe I should've demanded one but with a passel of kids, it wasn't the time. Just check your receipts next time...especially Kilgore's Bueno. Like I said the food was great. read more

This was my first time visiting a Taco Bueno restaurant. I ordered two BF tacos, regular chips & queso and a large drink. $16 dollars later I received the order. What a disappointment! I should have asked for a refund. I can't believe the amount of lettuce! I should have gotten a fajita skillet at a real Mexican restaurant and gotten my money's worth. You guys are a joke.
