We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Taco Buddha! It has been on our list to try since they opened up this location near us, and I am sorry we didn't try it sooner! The tacos were delicious and they had a creative variety of tacos. We sat on the covered patio as it was raining but they also have a front patio and some seating inside. We also used the QR code to order, but they give you a sign you can pop in the napkin holder if you would prefer to have someone come and take your order if the QR code is not your preference. The QR code ordering was easy and straightforward. They are also very flexible with substitutions and putting toppings on the side - the QR code provided many options very clearly! They are also very clear with allergy concerns upfront on their menu which is always a great thing to see for me. Can't wait to go back! Also looking forward to trying the breakfast tacos!

My family dined here after a nice visit to the Botanical Gardens- it's close by and a great choice! Good luck finding parking - the lot is mostly carry out and you might be lucky to get street parking in this residential location! The service is great. We ordered our food and in less than 10 minutes appetizers arrived followed by our entrees. The chips and queso were addictingly delicious I loved my meaty brisket taco and shrimp taco. They were very tasty. They also have a nice kids menu. Go give them a try for your next Taco Tuesday night dinner.

We love taco Buddha! Honestly one of the best margaritas I've had in my life - coming from someone who's not big on tequila. It took me a couple visits to find my favorite tacos, but the McCausland, Biloxi, and Thailand are my favorite by far. The queso is good, guac is top tier, but I'm not a big fan of the fire roasted salsa. I wish they would offer another option! A must try in STL

Really cute place. This is my first time coming here. I came with a friend who has been to other locations. This location doesn't have super convenient parking but it's a super cute location. We ordered on our phones some salsa and chips to start and tacos. I got two and they were very filling. It did take a while for our food to come out but everything tasted good. You check out on your phone as well. I would come again.

We visited the newest location of Taco Buddha tonight. We have been to their other two locations and were excited to try this one. Everyone was so welcoming when we came in - especially when we walked in with our dog. It was so nice to be met with such kindness from the staff AND other guests. Their food is always a 10/10 and so is the ambiance. We love that their patio is enclosed and heated. Makes for a great option when it's chilly out.

Taco Buddha catered our wedding 9 years ago before they had a restaurant, so it's always held a special place in my heart. I'm thrilled that there is now a location in the city! The restaurant is pretty small but food comes out quick so there shouldn't be much of a wait. We got quesadillas, tacos, rice and beans and top shelf margaritas. Everything was delicious!

I've always been in love with taco buddha and so glad they made a other location close to the grove area! It's the same great taste in tacos and margaritas but with another amazing and beautiful location. Service is always amazing and the inside is beautiful as well.

The Lafayette, taco of the month.

It was my son's birthday celebration and he liked our dinner choice. My wife and I have been to Kirkwood's Taco Buddha but decided to try the new location on Tower Grove. They have all the same options that the Kirkwood location has but it is a little smaller being a converted gas station. You still can order at the table with the QR code at your table but they have added a menu option if you are not liking the tech option. Our server said that if you want you can just flag her down and she will take your order by hand. They aim to please. This night they had the heaters running in the covered patio area. It was toasty and comfortable they have a taco of the month which is always interesting. The Lafayette is the special taco of the month. I added my favorite taco the Del Rio. The Lafayette is blackened Pollock with tangy Louisiana style remoulade, cotija cheese, slaw, cilantro on a corn tortilla.. This was very flavorful with a little zing to your palate. My favorite, the Del Rio is a mesquite smoked chopped beef brisket, romaine, avacado, citrus pickled red onions, salsa, roja and cotija cheese, cilantro on a flour tortilla. Match this with their frozen margarita and you will not be disappointed. Try new places and explore new tastes. St. Louis dining is exploding with new restaurants to experience.

The horchata was so dilute, I couldn't taste anything. The only saving grace were the chips and salsa - especially the salsa. Overall, this is a pretty overpriced place for below average food.

I like that this is a mother fast casual option so you can order at the counter and then they will bring the food to you when it's ready. They have a self service station for drinks (no alcohol). I wish I would have taken a picture of the tacos I ordered during my first visit, but I definitely forgot. I ordered a shrimp taco and while I was nervous that it would be small, it as actually a nice size and very filling. Was it a bit spicy? Yes. But I powered through because the flavors were good. The cilantro rice was also so good as a side and I loved the street corn, it was so creamy and delicious. My main pick when I visit now is the half southwest rice bowl with grilled chicken. It is the right portion size and has all the things I love in the rice bowl. I forgot to add avocado/guac on this last visit, but that's usually a good thing to add on top or to the side. Inside you'll be graciously welcomed by the bartender if you slide onto a barstool-- or you can be seated at a table in the dining room or outside. They're usually a few decent beers on tap, and more available in cans. The bar manager does excellent work with a specialty cocktail menu and house-made shrubs and syrups. The house margarita is affordable and very drinkable. While you wait, enjoy complimentary popcorn topped with Rock Star Dust-- their own special blend of seasonings that is also included in several other menu items. It's been a few weeks since I had any pocket cash to go out to eat... so I decided to pick a food…read moresource at random for a Saturday afternoon, and I'm SO GLAD I did... You know how they say one of the best things about Mexico is the food? I have to admit, I would honestly wouldn't know and just have to trust the stories I've heard, as I've never been lucky enough to go to Mexico.... But all my life I've heard stories about people who go and basically remind you.. NEVER hit a restaurant for _authentic_ Mexican food. You want to hit the street vendors. Well, St. Louis has a fantastic surprise.. Now you can do that right here in the city! Part of a three-restaurant set up, Amigo Sole is the "street vendor" restaurant that's not on the street. (And having met the owner of the full set-up, I'm REALLY hoping i get invited to the grand opening of Jekyll & Hyde) As it was middle of the day Saturday, I didn't ask for anything alcoholic (so i don't know if the reviewer that asked for alcoholic beverages and was told they didn't have any was just unlucky or if it was true.) But I'll take a Mexican Coke over American Coke any day of the week (NO, get your minds out of the gutter.. not that powdered one!). Anyway, I went simple for a quick stop, and went with the Chicken Bomb. at the recommendation of the cashier and he was quick to name this one off.. (and always remember cashiers, have a favorite READY, so thumbs up to the cashier on this one!) . And then to my amazement.. no more than 5 minutes later, HOT, tasty, cheesy, chicken quesadilla style BOMB-diggity! (Ironically this one is not listed on the website menu, only the instore menu? Come on Sole, online is everything today :) ) Absolutely delicious food.. and absolutely messy too, as it literally would fall apart in my hands.. (HEY, that's a good thing!) As for the decor.. 100% true, as Amigo Sole definitely has SOUL! (and lots of soles!). Again Amigo Sole isn't designed to be a 'great sit down' restaurant, it's designed to be street-vendor FUN!!!! and with what decoration they have, it pulls it off fantastically in my opinion. So just based on my meal, what the owner told me about the Amigo Sole, you're getting EXACTLY what you're promised a Mexican street vendor serving fantastic Mexican street vendor food, only with a roof over your head the entire time. During the meal, met again (Who i believe to be) the owner of the store and talked with him about Amigo Sole and how amazing it was to me... and he told me about the three-restaurant combination. (And I apologize sir, but I completely forgot your name when we talked!). even mentioning they share three kitchens when it gets busy (so I was kinda lucky as i think the rain scared everyone out for the day), but I'm still hoping for the Jeckyll & Hyde invitation! (I'll even pretend to find a date if I have to for the upscale part!)

When we walked in, the place was empty, besides the singular bartender standing behind the bar. She told us to sit anywhere we wanted, so we chose a table near the bar. Then, she politely asked us to move to the bar. She apologized and said she was new and that she didn't know what was going on. We started with an order of chips and salsa and shared a mango margarita on the rocks. Let's just say our marg was missing the rocks. The bartender forgot to add ice, so our margita was warm. She gave us a cup of ice to pour in. The marg itself wasn't very strong and tasted pretty syrup-y. Although the chips and salsa only cost us $2.50, I probably could've gone without. I don't think I would've liked them even if they were complimentary. The salsa was decent, but the chips were saltless and flavorless. We ordered two tacos and the arroz con pollo plate. My tacos came out at different times. Both were tiny and disappointing. I had the Hemp Avenue taco and the Sarah Street taco. The black bean juice was everywhere. The tortillas were dry and fell apart. They brought out a quesadilla instead of our arroz con pollo plate. We were confused, but the bartender insisted the order was correct. Then, a few minutes later, the correct plate was brought out. I guess I can't be mad that we scored a free quesadilla. However, it was quite soggy and the cheese was almost a rubbery texture. While we were there, a DJ started playing. The volume of the music went back and forth between increasingly loud and extremely quiet. None of the other staff members acknowledged us whatsoever. It felt like we weren't even there. I hate sounding so pessimistic, so I will say two positive things: their outdoor patio looks like a fun spot in the summer, and I bet this would be a great option if you've been out partying all night and need some food in your belly. Overall a bizarre experience from start to finish!
