Taco - Beef steak, Mexican spicy sausage, "Al Pastor" Pork AND Plain cheese quesadilla
    Marie C.

Food - "Al Pastor" pork taco and burrito were great ! Beef steak and Mexican spicy sausage taco, as well as cheese quesadilla, were all okay and nothing extraordinary. Service - servers were attentive Ambiance - outdoor restaurant: located at the Plaza of the Vidanta Resort; no reservation needed. No paper menu - QR code needs to be scanned.

Taco Break is a casual taco spot located on the third floor of La Plaza. They offer tacos, quesadillas, alambres, burritos, etc. for amazing prices. I got the carne asada alambres with a little bit of cheese and it was a massive yummy portion, but lacked a bit of flavor. It was better with the salsa they provided. They also provided free chips.

A fun casual restaurant to try when you're staying at the Vedanta resort. We had a great time with a friendly waitress and good food. My street tacos were especially good.

    Al pastor burrito

If you visit Vidanta this is a must the burrito and quesadillas are extraordinarily good this is as authentic as Mexican food can get on the resort when it comes to al pastor tacos and burritos and don't get me started on the service it is outstanding. Nice place for a late night meal with a view and low light as well as some shopping areas

OMG - If you are going to be staying at Vidanta, this is the place to eat!!! We ate here 6 out of the 7 days at the resort. You can do lunch or dinner with so many different options. My favorite meat is Pastor and I LOVED the tacos Al Pastor! I didn't have to leave the resort to go and find some great tacos. I would give the tacos a 5 out 5 and I probably at 20+ tacos al pastor during our time at Vidanta. We also got the Poblano taco each time just to switch it up and it was the bomb. Their Churros were great as well at the end of the meal. Comes with chocolate, Carmel and strawberry sauces to dip them in. NOTHING beats an Al Pastor tacos and a Mexican Coke in my book and Tacos Break did a great job!!

Love, love , love this place. Tacos are authentic and super delish. They have al pastor, chorizo, chicken, steak tacos, quesadillas, burritos, tortas, alembres - like a fajita and my favorite- churros. It's located in the third floor outside the the art gallery. We had dinner here and I enjoyed my al pastor and chorizo and churros. They also have a drink cart where your margaritas are made fresh. They also have an ice cream cart serving Mexican ice cream. I got the pistachio and it was sooooo good. I will definitely be back here again and again. Trust!!!

Favorite place to dine out on the Vidanta resort grounds! The chorizo melted cheese was amazing! Carne asada tacos as well and the alambres con asada were like fajitas with melted cheese. We had the cheesecake both nights we went and ordered 7 slices total by the end of the trip. To say it's amazing is an understatement. It's on the third floor of La Plaza and gets busy after 730/8 but make it a point to try it, it's totally reasonable pricing and the food is all delicious.

Took some time to find, but once we did. It was amazing. Fast service and location was great

Give me a break. Give me a break. Break me off a piece of that "Pastor" That's the reason to come here. Its perfect and melts in your mouth. The guacamole is fresh and worth the order. Perhaps give a brake to the rest of it. Salsa assortment is bizarre and bland. No shrimp or fish on the menu. Really ? Your hundreds of yards from an ocean. Seriously give me a break, Taco Break.

My friend found Taco Break while she was shopping at La Plaza. I was late since my "tour/sales pitch" lasted much longer than promised. I joined her at the bar and started off with some chips and guacamole. I couldn't really eat any of the accruements, as I'm a wimp and they were too spicy, but it was a nicely displayed assortment. I ordered a couple of street tacos-chicken & al pastor. I liked the cilantro and red onions on the al pastor. My snack was just okay for me. The tacos were kind of dry, but since I didn't load them up with salsa, I guess that was my fault. My friend raved about her lunch though. Taco Break is outside upstairs, and it was a great view. There are some tables and seats at the bar itself. Sitting at the bar was fun, as we could watch everyone cooking.

Fast & Delicious! This place has beautiful scenery as it is located on a balcony/patio overlooking the resorts property. I highly suggest getting any of their tacos, they are to die for! For vegetarians, the Poblano chili paper taco is tasty and flavorful. My other favorites would be the chorizo and pork tacos. They both have such great flavor; plus, the pork is constantly rotating on a skewer in their kitchen which makes it even better! Not a taco person? Definitely get their pork quesadilla, it won't disappoint. FYI: The tacos do NOT have cheese in them. If you are wanting something with cheese, get the quesadilla.

i really think that if you are visiting this resort, this is the most authentic restaurant and reasonably priced venue. The views are excellent and he service very friendly. Try on if the Cucharón de queso , it's the best. Tacos are simple and absolutely delicious! The sound and colors are truly Mexican, but upscale. Margaritas were made fresh and handshaken.

It's on the rooftop of La Plaza and is not a full on restaurant, which was a nice change of pace.

(Disclaimer: Please overlook any gringa estupida Spanglish grammar errors.) Gracias amigos! This place is a hidden GEM. The prices were off-the-charts reasonable and the lobsters were HUGE! Being from the Midwest, mì amigas lobsters would've been close to double, if not more, what we paid. It's not those tiny tails like you get at red lobster either, that jumbo shrimp rival for size. These lobsters were legit! I've seen smaller chihuahuas... We had a party of 6 and no one complained about a single dish, flavor, spice, drink. Sr. Mauricio was fun and attentive. Guacamole was good. Calamari was amazing! Please get it. Best several of us has ever eaten. Not over cooked and spongy. Just fantastico. Perfecto! Get in a taxi and go there. Now. Then go again. Your stomach AND pocketbook will having a full on fiesta! It's colorful and has murals and is just a beautiful experience. We have 3 more days here and we might even go again.
