Don't skip Mary's!!! Restaurant was packed and that's a great sign. Seated in about 10 min and during the wait we got to see everyone's food choices and what looked delicious. Ordered the beer battered fish taco - BOMB, couple chorizo tacos - good but not the chorizo you think of, this is more like a linguisa, and the shrimp ceviche - BOMB!! They also serve the mini Pacifico bottles which are perfect for just a small refreshment. This meal was $22.50 and worth much more. Also, their salsa is flavorful and not hot. Came here on recommendation of multiple locals. Mary's has some of the best Mexican food in the area. We ate here twice. The first time, I ordered chicken mole enchiladas which are really delicious. My friends ordered Mary's special which has two enchiladas and a Chile rellano. The first time I came, they did not have any of the red snapper which they told me the following day they did not receive it until 5 PM. The second time I came, they only had larger red snappers which cost 250 pesos instead of 200 pesos as listed on the menu because they were larger in size. Multiple of my friends ordered the same. Mary's actually had me rethinking every other culinary choice I've made - we tried the quesadillas (so cheap for HUGE portions), burritos (SO CHEAP for huge portions), empanadas (Do u see how big those are?!?), and tacos - the burritos and quesadillas were incredible, soft warm chewy tortillas with explodingly flavorful meat. the shrimp tasted like butter like it was magnificent - the empanadas were absolutely stuffed and coated in a crazy wonderful slaw - the abundance of salsas and entree toppings that come with every restaurant we hit is insane - the beans were insane like how does one make beans (isn't that just a singular ingredient) taste so different....? light like pinto but consistency of refried but lighter somehow?!? read more

Go here early in your Sayulita stay. You will want to eat here more than once. The restaurant price ranges in Sayulita is stunning. This is one on the extreme cheaper end, but has the best food. We ordered enough items from the menu in two visits to confidently say everything is fantastic. Highly recommend anything with chorizo, but the shrimp is also outstanding. The salsa tray they bring has one salsa that is the best I have ever eaten. Oh, and the service is amazing. Quick and very pleasant people. As far as price, my dad is still talking about how cheap our fist meal was. 5 people fully fed lunch with drinks for $35 USD equ. Amazing. Try it you will love the experience. read more

Mary's was one of our favorite restaurants in Sayulita, while there in February 2021. Tried a variety of things; chicken empanada, chicken enchiladas, Mary's taco and fish tacos. Everything was delicious! Very fresh ingredients, and several yummy salsas and sauces! My favorite was the fish tacos. They were so good that I went back for more a few times in the same week! My daughters favorite was the chicken empanada. Nice selection of drinks also. Prices are very reasonable. Staff are all very friendly. Felt very welcome every time we were there. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! When I first walked by this place I assumed it was a tourist trap (it looked to good to be true!). There were a ton of tourists waiting in line to be sat so I wasn't sure if it was touristy or genuinely good food. My friend and I decided to give it a try and it was the best food we had throughout our four day stay in Puerto Vallarta and Sayulita! First off, the ambience is unbeatable! The outdoor seating is on the cobble stone streets and has a beautiful view of the adorable downtown. Also, their salsa selection that came with the meals was incredible, they had every kind of salsa and crema imaginable! I got Mary's Taco and Abelon Taco which were SOOO tasty and rich with flavor. While in Sayulita for a week of sun and surf, we started a quest for to see who had the best fish tacos in town. The challenge is that there are a lot of small establishments that sell fish tacos, some only open for lunch and som only open for dinner....a first world problem. Mary's was our next stop and by far the best fish tacos to date that we have found in Sayulita. We had a 10 minute wait for an outside table which was no problem as we walked down the block to get some churros while we waited. We were seated and I ordered the fried and my partner the grilled fish. Both were out standing with great flavours and a nice homemade salsa. I added the chipotle sauce which complimented the flavours well. The service was good and we had no issues. It was a positive food experience and I am happy to recommend Mary's. read more

The first time we went here was at night and there was already a queue. When we finally got seated we weren't sure what the servings were like so we ordered 3 tacos each (breaded fish, Mary's tacos, carne asada). We ordered margaritas while waiting and the margaritas were the best we had and trust me we've been drinking margaritas was our water since we landed in Mexico City. The next day we went back for lunch and again we had margaritas which were still great but not what I remembered the prior night. We ordered the breaded fish tacos and the Mary's tacos again. Writing this review, I'm just dreaming of their tacos and margaritas and salivating. If I lived in Sayulita, I'd be an easy regular here. read more

ABSOLUTELY the best food I've had since I've been in Sayulita. Every other restaurant has been a little bit of a let down, not very authentic, just very minimal flavor. But this place is hands down the best I've had here. Not expensive at all and they know what they are doing. I paid 150 pesos for a burrito and a quesadilla. Really amazing and they give you sauces and stuff on the side. I will 100% go here again before I leave. read more

We ate here the last week of June and it was the most exceptional of many excellent eateries in this small town. We had an assortment of tacos and Empanadas of Smoked Marlin. The salsas for the tacos were phenomenal; Tomatillo, Chili de Arbol with Oil, Chipotle Crema, and Crushed Tomato Salsa. The Empanada of Smoked Marlin was topped with cheese and salsa, amazing. I ordered the Hibiscus Margarita but with Raicilla and rimmed with Tajin chili lime spice (Raicilla is an Agave Moonshine smoother than Tequila) - one of the best drinks on this earth. read more

This was our favorite place for dinner in Sayulita. The staff speak English and were the embodiment of friendly and helpful. Right now during the pandemic, they're al wearing masks and have sanitizer for you as soon as you enter the restaurant. The prices were reasonable. Two of us ate something different every day for a week and every single dish was a hit! It's clear from the flavors that they use quality ingredients.
