    Coconut shrimp
    Kathy M.

I wanted to to give them a good rating but the service is very slow and pretty bad. The waitress decided without asking, not to give my husband soup although he ordered it because "you ordered ceviche!" So one can't have both soup & ceviche in one night? I ordered tuna well done but it came out bloody red. Asked for it to be cooked more and then it came out super salty. Waitress barked at me, "Do you want me to remove it?" and did not bother to ask if I wanted something else. The first time we went, I ordered salad & coconut shrimp but the salad never arrived. Coconut shrimp was nothing to write home about. If you come to this restaurant, pack your patience as the service is very slow although the restaurant was pretty empty when we got there both nights. Asked for a straw and had to ask 4 different people to finally get one. Overall, very disappointing experience. We won't be back

Beautiful setting overlooking the marina. The guacamole was great as was the soup and shrimp fettuccini. The servers were prompt and attentive.

Our party of seven had a memorable dinner at Maizul during our annual holiday trip to Nuevo... We sat outside, enjoyed the view of the marina, along with our drinks and food. We especially enjoyed the fresh fish entrees. As others have mentioned Chuey was our server / bartender and was fabulous! We'll definitely be back!

When I asked the waiter/owner what's better the mahi-mahi or Seabass. He said get the shrimp Chile relleno. It was just OK.

Just ok. Margaritas are $17 us! The mahi-mahi was way too sweet. When I asked what is better the mahi-mahi, or sea bass he said to get the shrimp.

Great food options, friendly service, and very efficient. They bake their own bread, and it is delicious. It is right by the marina, so you get the breeze and view. Ambiance is peaceful and relaxed. See pictures

Just love this place. Only restaurant we ate at twice while on vacation. The coconut shrimp is so good. We started with maizul salad and shrimp fajitas. Frozen margaritas are so tasty and tequila the cat joined us. Staff is so friendly. A must try!

The staff was really wonderful. Everyone was warm and friendly, and always had a smile to share, plus the food was good. On my last day I had the chilaquiles for breakfast before heading to the airport, and I'm so glad I did. They were very good. I also had the chicken fajitas for lunch on another day, and they were tasty as well. I ate at 3 of the local restaurants during my stay and this was one of my favorites.

    Tuna tataki

Beautiful atmosphere overlooking the marina Service was excellent Start with the split soup, it's half green chilies and half bean. Richy and creamy, distinct Mexican flavors. 10/10 The tuna tataki was mouth watering, refreshing and melts in your mouth 9.5/10 The chile relleno stuffed with lobster mac and cheese was rich, creamy, spicey and very flavorful! 8.5/10 The tuna medallion was an amazing and surprisingly delicious combination, be prepared to step out of your comfort zone in the best way possible! 8/10

The chilequile and service were exceptional in a peaceful and idyllic dockside setting. I highly recommend this oasis in Nueva Vallarte!

Great spot the marina. Lovely shade and breeze. Vallarta Ceviche tostada was really good... but Relleno con camerones was superior!

As we walk into the restaurant, I was taken back by the beautiful view of the water and the wide open spares of the restaurant it self. The restaurant very tall ceiling made of palm tree branches. The lighting is beautiful and mystical. They have large pictures of the owner and famous actors and actress, and singers. They also have a large walk-in wine cooler that is visible from the outside. Very fun! We were grated right away by a very kind young man. We then were escorted to our table that was located towards the right side of the restaurant over looking the water. Definitely the best table in the restaurant. We were given menus and a cocktail/wine list. The hostess pulled out my mom's and my chair to be seated. After glancing over the menu we decided to order a bottle of wine for the four of us. My kids pick a Diet Coke and Dr. Peper. We were also given bottle water to drink as well. Once are drinks were ordered, we ordered dinner. My dad order the red snapper, my mom ordered the Lobster pizza, my husband ordered the mochaheta, my son got the Surf and Turf, my daughter ordered the sea food pasta, and I ordered the coconut shrimp. Everything came out amazing and out of this world yummy. The presentation was OMG!! Best restaurant we ate at over our 12 day stay. Can't wait to go back. And we even celebrated my daughter's birthday. The candle was my favorite party. See you guys soon.

Oh man, they did not disappoint. Starting first with the guacamole, which was made table-side, it was so fresh and seasoned just right. We decided to stay with the Shrimp entrees, my wife choosing the jumbo garlic, and i had the Arriero jumbo shrimp. I must say it was the BEST grilled shrimp we have ever had. It was butterflied, and was so succulent and tender. Just amazing. We finished off with the lava cake, and it was perfectly baked with a liquid chocolate center. We are staying at the Flamingos Villa Del Palmar, and it only a $9.00 Uber ride to the Restaurant. If your are craving grilled shrimp, this is the place to go.

Pro tip: It's cash only, so make sure you have pesos or dollars on hand before you roll in. My absolute favorite here is the Pulpo Zarandeado--perfectly grilled octopus, packed with smoky, savory goodness. The Callo de Hacha Tostada (scallop tostada) is another standout, fresh and full of flavor. And don't sleep on the soup--it's rich, comforting, and totally worth it, even on a hot day.
