Superb and tasty breakfast fare with authentic and tasty chilaquiles, classic egg dishes and great fruity smoothies (licuados). Breezy view of the docks and nicely decorated. Love this place and the prices are 100% fair. read more

The location is very nice and a mariachi band played for a while during dinner. That was a special treat and they just walk from restaurant to restaurant. Service was good at the start but once the place got full, we never saw our waiter again and had to walk up to the front and ask for them. The food was good as it was our first night but after trying other places, it's just Ok. Could it have been what we ordered? Maybe, but with El Barracuda behind the restaurant- I'd just go there instead. read more

Yesterday we went to Maizul for lunch. Both my husband and I had the grilled fish tacos. The fish was very fresh and served with a side of guacamole. Our waiter Sebastian was excellent. It is a cute little spot on the marina. My only complaint was I would have liked more cole slaw on my taco. read more

I wanted to to give them a good rating but the service is very slow and pretty bad. The waitress decided without asking, not to give my husband soup although he ordered it because "you ordered ceviche!" So one can't have both soup & ceviche in one night? I ordered tuna well done but it came out bloody red. Asked for it to be cooked more and then it came out super salty. Waitress barked at me, "Do you want me to remove it?" and did not bother to ask if I wanted something else. The first time we went, I ordered salad & coconut shrimp but the salad never arrived. Coconut shrimp was nothing to write home about. If you come to this restaurant, pack your patience as the service is very slow although the restaurant was pretty empty when we got there both nights. Asked for a straw and had to ask 4 different people to finally get one. Overall, very disappointing experience. We won't be back read more

It's been 2 yrs since we were there last and their food is still top notch. Employees are all very pleasant, extensive menu and great prices. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed! Thanks for the great meal and service. Will definitely be back. It's just a short cab ride from Vidanta Nayarit, but well worth it read more

We only had cocktails and ceviche but all were very good, well prepared and tasty! The service was attentive and reserved. We asked for a recommendation regarding the ceviche, as they offer a variety, and the recommendation was spot on. I would definitely return and recommend this cozy spot. read more

The chilequile and service were exceptional in a peaceful and idyllic dockside setting. I highly recommend this oasis in Nueva Vallarte!

Our party of seven had a memorable dinner at Maizul during our annual holiday trip to Nuevo... We sat outside, enjoyed the view of the marina, along with our drinks and food. We especially enjoyed the fresh fish entrees. As others have mentioned Chuey was our server / bartender and was fabulous! We'll definitely be back! read more

Service was great but overall, a pretty mediocre experience. We waited over an hour for our food due to an error made in the kitchen, however, no appetizers or desserts were offered while we waited with a very hungry 1-year-old who quickly became irritable and upset. The red snapper we ordered was small for the price, overcooked and dry. We ordered the garlic chile oil and drenched it in the red snapper to make it taste better. The chicken fajitas were okay too. Prices are decent for alcohol. Love the 4oz tequila pours. read more

Just ok. Margaritas are $17 us! The mahi-mahi was way too sweet. When I asked what is better the mahi-mahi, or sea bass he said to get the shrimp. read more

The staff was really wonderful. Everyone was warm and friendly, and always had a smile to share, plus the food was good. On my last day I had the chilaquiles for breakfast before heading to the airport, and I'm so glad I did. They were very good. I also had the chicken fajitas for lunch on another day, and they were tasty as well. I ate at 3 of the local restaurants during my stay and this was one of my favorites. read more

The food was creative, flavorful, fresh and truly excellent. The outdoor atmosphere was nice and the wait staff was very kind.

Beautiful atmosphere overlooking the marina Service was excellent Start with the split soup, it's half green chilies and half bean. Richy and creamy, distinct Mexican flavors. 10/10 The tuna tataki was mouth watering, refreshing and melts in your mouth 9.5/10 The chile relleno stuffed with lobster mac and cheese was rich, creamy, spicey and very flavorful! 8.5/10 The tuna medallion was an amazing and surprisingly delicious combination, be prepared to step out of your comfort zone in the best way possible! 8/10 read more

This spot is a hidden gem!! We had some last minute complications and couldn't make our tour because of a lot of jellyfish so we were stuck in the area for a couple hours - I looked around and saw this was in close proximity so we walked a little & came here for breakfast. We had fresh squeezed orange juice (not pictured); it is one of the freshest orange juices I've ever tasted personally. They also gave us a plate of fresh fruit (pineapples, bananas, watermelon, and papaya) which were all so so good. I ordered the tacos (Mexican style scrambled eggs with chorizo and bacon - I took off the sour cream and sauce). My mom ordered the red chilaquiles which she said was a 10/10 as well. Would love to come back once I'm in the area again! read more

Lovely evening. Excellent food. Beautiful setting. All the warmth that a family run provides.

Great food and wonderful service, we make it a point to come here when we are in Nuevo Vallarta.

Basically inedible. So sad to have to post this but was swayed by good reviews and decided to try it. Really just awful. How do you ruin a caprese salad? The fish sauce tasted like someone opened a can of tomato sauce and one of olives. The owner/ host was overly familiar and asked to please leave a review. I can't in good conscience say anything about the meal was good except for the ambience. Needs a new chef. read more

Loved this spot! Bottom of a cute boutique hotel with top notch service. Food was yummy, drinks very generous in their pours, and truly VIP service. I had my heart set on a dinner item that was accommodated for lunch even. Everyone there was so enjoyable and made our experience memorable. Gerry specifically served us and we couldn't have asked for anything more... definitely try this spot out, the ambiance alone with views of the yacht-filled port and light ocean breeze make for a delightful afternoon!! read more

Loved sitting at the marina with a good cocktai, yummy mahi-mahi, and the owner's welcoming attention.

Great spot the marina. Lovely shade and breeze. Vallarta Ceviche tostada was really good... but Relleno con camerones was superior!

Very nice setting with variety of boats one can admire while having dinner. One of the meals was very good. The other one was very overdone. I don't recommend the mixed seafood that is served in a hot bowl! Couldn't tell the difference between the octopus and the scallops, as they were so overdone . However, the other meal, which was mahi-mahi, was very good. People across from us had a salad which they thought was very good as well. I believe they said it was a Popeye salad. The wait stuff was easy to interact with and always available. read more

Delicious dinner with great view of the Nuevo Vallarta Marina. Jaime & Joaquina took excellent care of our table. We asked lots questions trying to decide on our meals, which they graciously answered. The huachinangos dish was cooked as we asked & the tasty local flavors the chef combined made this seafood dish our favorite. The vegetarian tacos were tasty, although adding hot sauce made them better. The Aguachili (shrimp ceviche) appetizer delicious. In short, we fully recommend Maizul. read more
