Taqueria 304 is an awesome Wheeling gem and well-worth a visit if you have an affinity for all…read morethings Mexican food. Came here with a friend last week and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I want to lead with the best here: the bartender/server here provided some of the best service I have experienced in the last few years. So many people have come to expect poor service (including myself) that positive experiences like this really serve as a wake-up call to what the dining experience ought to be like. Kudos to Taqueria 304 for hiring the best! I can't omit the excellent food and stellar plate presentation either. My friend and I both got the loaded nachos as our entrees and they were as delicious as they were beautiful. As for the drinks, plenty of beers on tap and in bottles to suit your needs, particularly of the Mexican variety (fitting). Ambiance is nice with some clever furnishings, like the sideways doors carpentered to serve as an entryway wall. One thing I will mention is that open-concept establishments tend to have noise issues and this place is no exception; even still, my friend and I were able to hear each other on this occasion (no promises when the place is full). Parking here can be challenging due to all the construction currently happening in the area though there are spots available on both sides of the street which ought to be enough at most times of the day. All things considered, Taqueria 304 is a welcome addition to the area and I hope they stick around for a long time to come! Overall: 4.5 stars ---- Pros: - Outrageously good service, that needs to be commended in a world where such service is increasingly rare. - Excellent food with a skilled eye for presentation. - Great draft/bottle beer selection. - Pleasant ambiance with clever furnishings. Cons: - Open-concept spots can have noise issues, though it wasn't too bad during our visit. - Parking is tough but still available.

Writing this on behalf of my family, who had a wedding rehearsal dinner booked at Habaneros and had…read moredoublechecked everything ahead of time. When they arrived, they were told the employee who made the reservation was no longer with the restaurant and that they had "no recollection" of the rehearsal dinner being on the calendar. Mistakes happen, but what was most disappointing was the way the situation was handled. Instead of trying to make it right, the staff was extremely rude and dismissive. Rule number one in owning a restaurant should be taking responsibility when a mistake happens and doing everything you can to make it right. We understand that employees leave and things can get missed, but the restaurant's response was what was most disappointing. There was no real attempt to take ownership of the situation or accommodate the family. This was an important family event, and they were left scrambling because the restaurant failed to honor a reservation that had been confirmed. Why would a restaurant choose to lose the business of an entire rehearsal dinner party rather than make an effort to accommodate the situation? But don't worry--we found another place at the last minute, and they were amazing! They went above and beyond to accommodate our family and made what could have been a very stressful situation into a wonderful evening. So thankful we ended up somewhere that truly valued our business. Very disappointing experience with Habaneros and definitely not the level of customer service you would expect from a restaurant.
