The server was straightforward but kind and got everything right. The restaurant is quaint and not too loud, which is especially nice on a Friday night. The food tastes very fresh and genuinely makes you feel good after eating it. It was rather spicy for me, but I like it that way. I got the Camarones à la Mexicana and a side of grilled chorizo. Both were amazing. I have zero complaints about my experience and we will definitely be back if we find ourselves in Cambridge again in the future.

Writing this on behalf of my family, who had a wedding rehearsal dinner booked at Habaneros and had…read moredoublechecked everything ahead of time. When they arrived, they were told the employee who made the reservation was no longer with the restaurant and that they had "no recollection" of the rehearsal dinner being on the calendar. Mistakes happen, but what was most disappointing was the way the situation was handled. Instead of trying to make it right, the staff was extremely rude and dismissive. Rule number one in owning a restaurant should be taking responsibility when a mistake happens and doing everything you can to make it right. We understand that employees leave and things can get missed, but the restaurant's response was what was most disappointing. There was no real attempt to take ownership of the situation or accommodate the family. This was an important family event, and they were left scrambling because the restaurant failed to honor a reservation that had been confirmed. Why would a restaurant choose to lose the business of an entire rehearsal dinner party rather than make an effort to accommodate the situation? But don't worry--we found another place at the last minute, and they were amazing! They went above and beyond to accommodate our family and made what could have been a very stressful situation into a wonderful evening. So thankful we ended up somewhere that truly valued our business. Very disappointing experience with Habaneros and definitely not the level of customer service you would expect from a restaurant.

I ordered the grilled chicken and I was the last one to get my food, I had to wait at least 10 minutes for my food to come out after everyone else. My grilled chicken was ok but my mom complained that her burrito wasn't good and that it had a stale shell. My cousin got a beef taco bowl which we agreed tasted like store bought ravioli meat. We have been here before and the service isn't ever good with us having to wait a long time the long way most times we come. Over all it's ok Mexican food but it's worse than anywhere else nearby and you should go to el par eon instead.

I have dreamed of having my own taco truck and this experience was equally inspiring and frustrating, knowing I could do so much better but also knowing this guy gets a taco truck while I don't. No delicious salsa on the side. How could meat, cheese, veggies, etc, be so flavorless?? I know people complain about things being spicy - maybe that's part of it - but this was so disappointing. Such a waste of $15. Also, what's up with the loud generator? Can hardly even hear the dude - and vice a versa - when trying to get my order.

Additionally, the dining room was uncomfortably warm. At $42 for two entrées and two sodas, the price feels a bit high for a self-bussing establishment. ‍ The excellent food makes it worth a visit, especially for the burritos. Amoothing out the service flow would easily make it a 5-star spot for the area.
