As good as a Taco Bell is gonna get it was ok...lol. Friendly service but staff unaware how to utilize mobile for customer orders. Only two staff working which I know Taco Bell's drive thru is a beast on most days. Tonight however was chill. The family and I wanted something quick and not too heavy. Nacho Bell Grandes and a one 5 layer burrito minus the sour cream. Ehhh.. The hot toppings on the Nachos appeared slopped on with no regards to presentation. It was quick I will give you that but I don't think quick over rules food preparation and presentation. In my younger years, I remember working at Taco Bell and our manager was really strict about presentation saying to the cooks, "If you wouldn't eat it that way don't serve it that way." These were my thoughts but the items were freshly made. I ran in to the establishment to grab an order I forgot through drive thru and observing the staff at drive thru taking orders (who will also take my order) she is literally stepping over trash. Like trash from the plastic cup sleeves and lids dropped, napkins, and straws whatever else was on the floor it looked like they got slammed and couldn't keep up. I highly recommend at a certain time they should shut the lobby so that they'll have time to properly prepare food and also clean. Allow the staff to concentrated on the drive thru and they can keep the backend tidy after all lobby the customers can see the ground in the back from the front counter....which isn't appealing. We placed an order around 8pm on a Friday night via the app, as we've done a dozen times. We then drove to the Taco Bell, which was hard to find since all of their outside lights and signs were off. Our first thought was that there was a power outage, so we probably should cancel the order. We decided to try our luck. They greeted us at the drive thru and told us that we'd need to come back in about 6 minutes because their system for online orders is slow. We drove around, parked, and went in the restaurant to wait. 10 minutes later we received our food. Strangely , the burritos were cold, but everything else was good. I have a feeling the young staff turns the lights and signs off to appear closed in a nefarious effort to dissuade customers. Why? As soon as we received our food the employees disappeared, not to be seen again. read more

had been driving for about 4 hrs so I decided I was going to order on the app so I could dine in and take a break. The app had told me my order would be done at 6:57 pm so I arrived around 7. I walked in and stood in what I thought was a line because there were two young girls at the counter talking to a worker who the entire time didn't acknowledge me but he was focused on talking to one of the girls. That's when another worker walked up and I let her know I was here for my order. But I'm going to speed this up. I had waited for 25 minutes for a a burrito and a Crunchwrap. There wasn't nobody else on the store and maybe two cars in the drive thru. There wasn't a girl texting on her phone and the guy talking to these two young girls the entire time. The fountain machines weren't working so I had to ask them to fill it up. Finally get my food and my first bite had a hair in it. I was extremely disappointed so I go back to the register and there's 4 people in the drive thru talking and they didn't even acknowledge me until I waved at the only girl who'd been helping me the entire time to show her the hair in my food and ask for a refund. I'm not saying you can't be on your phone or talk to your friends but do it on your break especially not in the lobby when you have customers. read more

Place smelt awful. So bad my mom actually threw up. They forgot something simple even though I had just verbally ordered a second before , so I had to wait a very long time to receive it considering they disappeared right after. Now to the food. It was absolutely disgusting and a huge waste of money. My mom got a refund, I unfortunately did not although all three of my things were horrid. The shells were stale, meat flavorless, ingredients skimped and sauce was forgotten on..everything. The quesadilla was also shriveled to shit. Kinda worried it'll make us all sick but oh well. This place can not get orders right. Seriously what is their problem? Make sure if you're at the drive thru to go thru your bag to see if it's correct. Unwrap each item and examine. The manager will have attitude but if you don't check you will have to come back. And they won't care. They might even think you're lying. How hard is it to put food together right? I swear even if you tattooed the order on their foreheads they'd still get it wrong. There just aren't many good places to eat in Tucumcari and this is one less. The Mexican pizza I ordered came with stale tostada shells instead of the proper fried shells that were so bad I couldn't even salvage them, it also was missing half the items it normally comes with. We wanted the Cinnabon spheres, but were informed that they were only a breakfast item so we instead ordered the cinnamon twists.Those cinnamon twists were the most disgusting rancid tasting things I have ever tasted in my entire life. I have never written a review before but we stopped by on a road trip and the food was absolutely awful. There was no one in the store and they messed up on simple orders. The burritos were 90% tortilla and the rest cheese. No hate to taco bell but this location is awful, the people working in the back don't even have proper uniform. It's Taco Bell. Supposed to be the same guilty pleasure fast food nationwide. I frequently travel the upper forty-eight and this one takes the prize for the worst Taco Bell food of all. I still put two stars instead of one because the guys working the drive through were very friendly. Visited 6/11/2020 at night. The chicken chalupa supreme was stale and had more sour cream than chicken. It's like the place was low on chicken and tried to compensate filling with almost a cup of sour cream in its place. I threw it out half way through eating it. All of the four or five "supreme" items were missing tomato and several missing sour cream... maybe they ran out putting it all in the chalupa, but why pay extra for items to be left off? Food items were cold, old and franchise ratios of ingredients obviously not followed so it tasted bad. I found out the next morning, when we had returned to our hotel rooms the previous night, my business companion threw his meal away and went hungry because he disliked it that much. read more
