The inside was very clean and modern. They have a different special every day of the week which seemed like a great way to try everything on the menu. The star of the show was the shrimp burrito. Perfectly cooked, tender shrimp, excellently seasoned rice and beans all combined together with crema and lettuce in a grilled tortillas. There was actually quite a bit of shrimp in the burrito. And the salsas added extra depths of flavor. We also got chips and salsa. The chips were nothing to write home about, seemed to have been sitting out for a bit. The owner was nice, she brought out a free chip refill. The verde salsa and spicy salsa were homemade with good flavory and a nice smokiness. I felt the same way about the side salas that came with the burrito. It was decent, nothing special. I imagine the fries would be similar. Overall this was a great place to get some fresh hispanic seafood! The tacos also looked amazing, I would definitely recommend trying out the entrees here.

I'm a TOTAL novice at using caterers and probably asked quite stupid questions. I certainly needed a lot of hand-holding along the way. I found them more responsive by phone and text communication than by email. Regardless, they adjusted our order to exactly what I wanted and we only had 25 people in attendance. I was hoping they'd be able to set up in our backyard, but the cart couldn't fit through our gate, so driveway it was. They made it look so nice and official that some of our neighbors came by, wanting to buy tacos! The smells wafting around the neighborhood were great. We had a lot of kids in attendance and so they made quesadillas an option. My younger daughter loved the horchata especially. ;) My very favorite items turned out to be the beans and the freshly made (on site) tortillas. I mean, who does that?! It was awesome. My only complaints (and please notice that they're insufficient to knock off even a single star) is that I'm very picky about any gristle or excess "texture" in my meats ... and the carne asada had some of that. That wasn't to my taste. But my guests seemed entirely pleased. Oh, and we added cooked veggies to our order to accommodate for vegetarians and I didn't think they were well-seasoned enough. Still, the salsas, cilantros, and guac could compensate for that. I hope we get to work with Maria and her team again. They helped me package up leftovers and we have TONS remaining. Wow. We used to come here every week, but little by little our habits changes as the quality went down. I do still enjoy coming for the nachos and specialty drinks, like the Harvest Pear Marg and the Happy Hour is nice too. The service varies depending on the time of day and the rush. We tend to go later in the evenings so it's not a slow as it is on other visits. We love the bright and vibrant atmosphere and the music. The murals are great and you find something new every time. I DO love that they have new weekly specials-- $4 Marg Mondays & $4 Taco Tuesdays, so will be coming back to see how those go and will update the review then!
