Drinks

$23 for two lukewarm tacos, three sips of Baja, and a total insult. Man at the window asked my mom if she was over 55 because she would've gotten a free drink. Totally embarrassed her because she just turned 50 this year. Then proceeded to hand us these dinky cups with our drinks. He said they ran out of their small sized cups and had to get these as replacements. Also didn't give us a receipt because I'm sure we were charged full price. Should've given us mediums and kept his mouth shut.

Yeah so nothing has changed. I've been buying cantina bowls just asking for 2 portions of rice and 3 portions of the meat. You know basically a protein bowl ish. Well nope only got one of each and I payed $10 extra dollars. I'll be contacting corporate line on Monday and I'll be doing checks of all food in the bag before I leave the drive through. Calling the store doesn't seem to matter since they won't answer.

By far the worst fast food establishment in petoskey. Horrible customer service, always getting food wrong. Suprised they are still open.

My experience for the last 5 years has been terrible. Worst taco bell ever. Slow, food sucks. Used to be fine.

Staff is incompetent. Food is ok when made correctly. Don't bother getting Pepsi because it's usually just watery and nasty.

True authentic mexican. There is no comparison. My Spanish is not the best, but I did enjoy what they called the "crunchwrap supreme."

The distillery had great flights and if you buy the $10 flights you can apply to a bottle! I had and excellent Gin tonic and husband loved his dirty martini. The service was fast and very efficient- very friendly. Highly recommend this place. Great to use for an event space, they had 2 events while we were there, or a fun night out.

Crazy that this Mexican food eatery with a small yet delicious menu sits within a 42,000-square-foot building that formerly served as an equestrian center. Now it's an eatery inside several rooms - a part of the largest distillery in Michigan. The BIG room, on a colored, swirling and polished cement floor is decorated with couches, picnic tables, a large screen for videos and corn-hole boards and other games. My spouse and I ordered a quesadilla filled with chicken, avocado, peppers. onions and cheese ($16). YUM. Prepared on a 10-inch tortilla, it was served with limey-tasting sauce of sour cream in a tiny ramekin. We picked it up at the window in the long hallway on the side of the distillery and ate at a picnic table with our bottles of Mexican Coke and Lime Jarrito in the big hall. Although the price is a bit more than we usually spend for a top-notch quesadilla, we probably will return for fish (cod) taco $6.00. The only major drawback is the distance between the parking area and the restaurant and distillery. It's up a myriad of steep steps, although there is a drop-off area near the building for those who are physically impaired.

Definitely a place to consider when you are in the mood for Mexican food. We stopped by on a Friday…read moreevening in June and were one of a handful of diners. Outside the fray of downtown Petoskey, El Cilantro has a much more relaxed vibe. It's close to the state park and ideal for hungry campers or bikers riding from Petoskey to Harbor Springs. The server definitely gets five plus stars. Helpful, fun and attentive. We enjoyed the complementary chips and salsa while waiting for our food. Our shrimp tacos, which we shared, were enough for two or one very hungry person. They looked appealing, served in a casual "basket" plate. Though everything was fine and satisfying, we both felt there was a lack of seasoning that would have made our meal next-level. We are from Southern California and may have higher standards and more experience with Mexican cuisine than most. The level of flavoring and spice would surely appeal to the palate that does not crave much heat or traditional spices. As campers, we will definitely keep El Cilantro on our list to visit for future trips.

The shrimp tacos were outstanding- best we've had! The Birrias were perfectly prepared and full of flavor. I also really loved their salsa - freshly made and you could tell. We used to visit this location years ago when it was Scallywags, and it felt a little nostalgic!

I found Rodrigo's Tex-Mex online via a Google search. from home in Chicago. We had a long drive…read moreahead of us and we had been on the road for well over 8 hours. WE WERE VERY HUNGRY! We found ourselves inside of Rodrigo's at capacity and there was a 20 minute wait so we settled for seats at the bar as we were needing to ingest some flavorful cuisine. As it turned out sitting at the bar was a very worthwhile experience. We ordered our drinks which were prepared with precision and care right in front of s as our appetizer was served. We opted for the Rodrigos Queso with beef smothered in delicious creamy Mexican queso along with lots of black pepper and a hint of jalapeno! ! Possibly the best I have ever had! I actually inquired how it was made. The staff were very fun and friendly and we were both equally impressed with out entrees. My friend has fajitas and i went right for a trio of tacos. Traditional soft traditional tacos with shrimp, carnitas and beef. Full of flavor. The tortillas as well as the chips were all made in house and were over the top. Going to a touristy destination in far north Michigan the skeptic in me did not expect quality Mexican food but was wrong. Rodrigo's far exceeded my expectations and was filling thus solving our hunger issues and we had a pretty good time as well. Big thanks sand applause to the cooks and the staff at a wonderful and worthwhile dining experience.

Also fill up the first complimentary salsa bowl because then you charge for more when it's like 4 oz for two people? Charging for extra chips also a bit annoying if you're charging outrageous drink prices. The positives- our friends loved their soup, beer was cold, margaritas $15 which again is pricey considering your charming $20-25/entree. I get inflation has hit us all but I doubt we will be back. Red mesa in Boyne is closer, just as tasty or tastier and about 30% cheaper. Place is tiny. Couldn't move around the dining room but it was cute and themed

The hostess greeted me and the wait staff was minimal on interaction and there were 5 people standing by the door when I left and not a single person spoke to me. The wait staff didn't check to see how my food was while I was eating or ask how things were when I was done...instead just asked if I was all set. I still had a half of a margarita and queso and chips. The place was not busy...maybe 4 tables total with several servers. The overall appeal inside is nice and it appears to be clean. This place has potential, but for me if you can't get the basics greetings, pleasantries and a wait staff that checks on your food, I'm out. Oh and the margarita was your basic mix style...I really wish margaritas would be made to order rather than the mix that is so sweet to drink. Unfortunately I won't be back...but if anyone is curious the taquitos do not have chunks of onions in them.

The problem I had was that my chili rolinos we're tough and not done well. I've had better at other restaurants. It seems that I let it slide last time I was in and still gave it a great review and perhaps I should've told them to tell the chef but they were really tough and it seemed like the skin wasn't peeled or they weren't prepared properly. In fact, out of the three of us, no one was extremely pleased with their lunch.
