First impressions were great. The decor and ambiance were REALLY nice. All of the food that was coming out looked great. We were seated right away, and it was basically downhill from there. The service was painfully slow. Every time our server left our table, it would take her about 10 minutes to come back. She didn't seem to have any other tables, that I could tell. The restaurant was not busy, but she was usually nowhere to be found. The chips were REALLY stale. We asked for fresh chips, but they just came back with more stale chips. Our entrees arrived BEFORE our appetizers. Our server had given the wrong ceviche order to the kitchen. When they did bring out our apps, it seemed like the fish had not had enough time to "cook" in the acid. A lot of it was still really raw. We took it home and ate it later, and it was much better. We also ordered the Mexican street corn, which had the SMALLEST kernels of corn on it that I've ever seen or eaten. I was especially disappointed about that because I'd been craving it all day. For entrees, my boyfriend ordered the steak super burrito, and was reasonably happy. It is a MASSIVE burrito. I ordered the nacho cheese burrito. I feel like my dish would've been a lot better if the chicken were shredded. Instead, it was hard, dry little nuggets of chicken. Overall, I was super disappointed by the whole experience. I would maybe go back here for drinks, because it is such a cute place, but I found the food and the service to be really disappointing.

The event said no reservations needed, so we showed up not realizing how popular it would be. The place was PACKED with a line out the door! Even so, we only waited about 25 minutes for a table on Valentine's Day, which honestly wasn't bad at all considering the crowd. We went specifically for their Valentine's special: 2 margaritas, fajitas for two, and dessert, such a great deal! The margaritas were delicious. We ordered the Rita sampler and the blueberry margarita tasted like blueberry pie, so fresh, organic, and absolutely yummy. We also ordered homemade guacamole, which was delectable, paired with fresh, crispy homemade chips. Our fajitas included steak, pork, chicken, and shrimp, and everything was cooked to perfection. The flavors were incredible!!! And can we talk about the restaurant itself? It's HUGE! It felt like one of those multi-level Times Square NYC restaurants, with multiple floors and even outside patio seating. It was like a magic trick walking through it! Our waitress, Lia, was fantastic, attentive, helpful, and so sweet despite how busy it was. The staff worked incredibly hard all night and it showed. Plentiful parking, amazing food, great atmosphere. We will definitely be back to this hidden gem we didn't even know existed in town. Thank you for making our Valentine's Day special after a long day of yard work

We went on a Wednesday, where the special was fajitas for $5.99 - such a good deal. My husband got the steak fajitas and I got the camerones a la diabla. The chips and salsa were so good. The workers here are helpful even though this place can get extremely hectic. I'm positive that a lot has to do with the excellent management. This family owned and run restaurant is easy on your pocketbook but is amazingly attentive and the food is delicious, because mom's in the kitchen sharing generations of home style cooking. We chose to sit inside due to the extreme humidity outside, but there is a beautiful outdoor patio also available - this is a simple restaurant but after only a moment here you'll feel comfortable and welcomed, it's like family serving family. After ordering our drinks, warm chips and a bowl of perfectly balanced salsa was brought out before placing our lunch order - everything is cooked to order so although the wait time is reasonable they don't rush things here everything is made to order and one bite into their freshly made corn tortillas you won't care because time will stop as you savor all the freshly prepared goodness. The food, well I didn't try everything but then again after a healthy sampling I can't imagine anything served here falls below the description of outstanding. The tacos are amazing, again served open face on those delicious warm homemade corn tortillas, they are filled with your choice of meats including steak, pork, chicken, shrimp, beef tongue, goat, etc.or a medley of grilled veggies if that's your thing - all are topped with freshly chopped onion and cilantro. This can be paired with delicious homemade beans and rice and an amazing radish salad concoction. We also enjoyed a delicate pork tamale (so good) and a cheesy enchiladas (exceptional) - we cleaned our plates and was looking for a shady spot to grab a siesta. We are camping in the area and we will definitely be returning here over the next ten days and anytime we are close to this area in the future- this is one of those places that you must experience if given the opportunity...
