This place never disappoints. Great service, food and deals! I like how they give each of us our own salsa dish too. HUGE margaritas

Camping nearby and was told this place is great so we came for Friday night dinner. From the outside, it's pretty low key but as soon as you enter, you're met with classic Mexican decor! The restaurants busy but we were sat right away. Service was great, very attentive and made sure our chips and drinks were always full! I had the carnitas and they were delicious! Super flavorful and juicy! The rice is yummy too. My friends had the Texas fajitas and they raved about the flavor of the dish! Their meats were cooked beautifully and well seasoned. And the portion was huge! Hubby had the grilled steak burrito and it was similarly flavorful and fresh tasting. This had the feel of a neighborhood favorite! Highly recommend!

So, Mama was out of town, and I was craving Mexican food. Heard they have chorizo, which made my decision that much easier. Was seated promptly, and was slightly depressed when my server told me they had no draft beer. And their selection of bottles on-hand was less than impressive. At least Dos Equis Amber was one of the meager offerings. Chips and salsa were OK, salsa could use a bit more spice and flavor. Ordered the Burrito Combo, which has one steak and one chorizo burrito. The steak one was very good, but the chorizo burrito was underwhelming. No spice to the chorizo, and a hint of slightly overcooked flavor. Add to that my beans were super runny and the rice was bland. Decor is pretty typical for a Mexican place and service was quite good, aside from the fact that my server called me "Bro" throughout my entire meal. Service keeps this place from 2 star territory.

Several people recommended this restaurant a little tiny little store front in a shopping center. You miss it if you drive too fast. But I could tell by the numerous cars in the parking lot that they were there.walked in and was seated right away. Took a few minutes to get our order taken, but the girl was really busy with other tables. While we were sitting there, people just kept on coming in. It was lunch time so is expected. Chips and salsa were o k. Jalapeno poppers were good, but they gave no kind of sauce for dipping or plates. Wife's quesdilla was burnt but manageable. My grilled chicken breasts came with no topping. Unless you wanted to pay extra most Mexican restaurants, put some kind of cheese on this particular dish so I ate it by itself. It was very dry.. We were never asked if we wanted a refill on our drinks. Folks that recommended this restaurant were surprised at how our service and food was. Next time, it could be better if we go back highly unlikely, though.

Salsa ! I've eaten some of it... fresh tasting love the cilantro it's just made perfect got just a little spice .

My favorite Mexican restaurant!! ALWAYS friendly professional wonderful people in this establishment! The chicken fajitas are very flavorful delicious and wonderful. The place is very cute clean and fun! I love coming here!!

The event said no reservations needed, so we showed up not realizing how popular it would be. The place was PACKED with a line out the door! Even so, we only waited about 25 minutes for a table on Valentine's Day, which honestly wasn't bad at all considering the crowd. We went specifically for their Valentine's special: 2 margaritas, fajitas for two, and dessert, such a great deal! The margaritas were delicious. We ordered the Rita sampler and the blueberry margarita tasted like blueberry pie, so fresh, organic, and absolutely yummy. We also ordered homemade guacamole, which was delectable, paired with fresh, crispy homemade chips. Our fajitas included steak, pork, chicken, and shrimp, and everything was cooked to perfection. The flavors were incredible!!! And can we talk about the restaurant itself? It's HUGE! It felt like one of those multi-level Times Square NYC restaurants, with multiple floors and even outside patio seating. It was like a magic trick walking through it! Our waitress, Lia, was fantastic, attentive, helpful, and so sweet despite how busy it was. The staff worked incredibly hard all night and it showed. Plentiful parking, amazing food, great atmosphere. We will definitely be back to this hidden gem we didn't even know existed in town. Thank you for making our Valentine's Day special after a long day of yard work

F…read more We were skeptical to go based on reviews here, but there are more recent ones on Google that were positive, so we decided to give it a try. The guy working was polite enough. The chips were hot and the salsa decent. Guacamole was gross. Rice was bland and not at all traditional Mexican rice. And once again, American cheese in the quesadilla! Grateful it was mainly on the edge, so we could still eat the chicken untouched by a poor excuse for cheese, especially in a quesadilla. Normally, the cheese not being evenly melted throughout the quesadilla would upset me, but I was happy this time so I could actually eat something that didn't taste like American cheese. The chicken was actually halfway decent and the tortilla was warm and nice and crispy on the outside. Did I mention there was AMERICAN CHEESE in the quesadilla? You guys. I can't.

We were pleasantly surprised by the prompt service and delicious food. It is a simple restaurant with simply good food plus the owners/wait staff were welcoming. The salsa and chips were really good. So good we ate it all.... Typically we eat a few then stop but not here. I ordered the #13 which consisted of two enchiladas, rice, and beans. My partner ordered the plate of four enchiladas. According to him it was really really good. I was amazed how huge the cups for water are. Very smart and highly efficient. No waiting for someone to refill your water. Never saw that before. Will I stop by again? I sure will when I am driving in the area. Gringos and gringas will find this place welcoming. The food is worth it. I highly recommend.

There are three things that make this place stand out in a sea of Mexican restaurants. 1. Service…read more- From the first time we came in, weeks after they opened, we found a unique feature. Every employee is considered your server. Yes, you'll have a primary, but you'll be asked several extra times if there is something you need, or to take dishes out of the way. At first it was a little annoying, but we've learned to love this excellent service. Then you will find there are some exceptional personalities that emerge. Our favorite is Leydis, but all the servers are well trained and work hard to make your visit special. Leydis' husband Orli is frequently the bar tender. For a special treat, try his "Margarita Fresca" made with fresh squeezed juices. 2. Decor - The restaurant is decorated with a vast range of hand carved furniture, which we learned is sourced from Tonola, a suburb of Guadalajara. As I understand it, the owner of the furniture factory is a partner on the restaurant as well, so there is some exceptional art. Be sure to wander a little while you can. 3. Food, there is a wonderful variety of choices, including some I'm sure you've never heard of. They do a great job on the molcajete. We have our "go to" dishes, including one they specialize just for me, but I encourage all to experiment. Two more special things to consider. First, we come a lot on Tuesdays in part to take advantage of Taco Tuesday (see photo). At $1.99 each, it's a better price than even fast food tacos, and you get these beasts instead. Second, be sure to ask for the hot salsa sampler. Each has a very unique flavor, but a manageable 'bite'. I think they should feature this, and include information on the origins of each flavor. *Absolutely* the best in Lake City, and our favorite anywhere in the states that we have visited. Well worth the trip for us (we drive 30 miles every week to go).

Sure, there is some (in my opinion) overpriced fried chicken, and a sports bar, but for just grabbing a bite to eat I wasn't up for that. However, down the road a little bit I found the Grove Shack food truck! There is some outdoor seating, and decent weather protection in case of a bit of rain or need of some shade, so I figured I would give it a shot. I just went with a burger and fries, which also comes with coleslaw. The burger was good, with solid ingredients. The fries I believe were from SysCo or PFG, but these days it is hard to find a place that isn't using fries from them, and they are decent fries, so I am alright with that. The only real disappointment I had was from the coleslaw, as it was a bit on the wimpy side. All in all a decent bite to eat, the prices were reasonable, and I enjoyed the experience.
