The wet super burrito is massive and mine was packed with carnitas, pinto beans and all the fixings. On their board menu it said "super wet burrito", so that confused me for a second. Lol. The nachos order is big too though I might ask for yellow cheese and pinto beans next time instead of shredded cheese and refried beans. I like their blend of horchata too. It was slow and not crowded for a Sunday after 6 pm. I filled some of the tiny round containers with sauces, limes, and marinated veggies while waiting for my to go order. But when they are charging extra for stuff which is already in the ingredients... we'll u gotta stop and pause. I've frequent this taqueria a hand full of times and it's the closest mission style taqueria up here in pinole. It's always good service, tasty dishes with decent prices. That's why us humans go back. BUT when u charge extra for a certain type of proteins, there's room for questioning. So I ordered super nachos with carne asada as my meat and a small bottle coke. The total amount came to $24.40, I was surprised. I looked closer to the receipt and it was an extra $2.00 for the asada. Please just add it on the price or put it on the menu "extra for Carne Asada" so we don't get a little receipt shock. $25 dollars for super nachos and a small bottle of coke. I've heard of Hella Bomb Tacos and have seen the truck over the years at various local events…read more Today, a friend mentioned the car show on the Hercules Waterfront and that she was heading down because Hella Bomb was beckoning her. Since I had time, I walked down to the show, check out the cars and the band, and gave Hella Bomb a try, despite not being particularly hungry. I ordered one street taco--cilantro lime chicken. I mentioned it was my first time eating their food, and I'd heard they were, in fact, Hella Bomb, and the server said they were! And that she wasn't just saying that because it was her brother's business! The taco came with a lime wedge, some radish slices, and chips. Served on two small corn tortillas with a generous helping of chicken topped with green salsa. Oh, and a VERY HOT (for me) grilled pepper. Looked like that pepper could have been a mild shishito pepper, but since I wasn't sure and I can't do spicy like I used too, I took a tiny bite. Not a shishido! So beware if you can't handle a bit of heat! Not expecting too much with my first bite of the taco, I was actually quite surprised! I'm sure my eyes opened a bit wider with the happy flavors rolling through my mouth! It was delicious! Moist, tender chicken with a tasty marinade--wish I were hungrier so I could eat another! Since the taco was so stuffed with meat, I loved the side of chips to scoop up the bits of chicken that fell out with each bite! Yes, I will have Hella Bomb again! My W will love those tacos, too!

There were people coming in, but the place wasn't extremely busy. In the end, I waited closer to 45 minutes to an hour. For just four tacos, that seemed like an extremely long wait. On the plus side, the staff were kind and friendly. I ordered the tacos al pastor and tacos de cabeza. Both were pretty decent, but nothing special. The tables weren't wiped down, although there is a sign asking customers to clean up after themselves, and I'm sure many people don't. The staff seemed busy, so I understand. This appears to be a popular spot with locals. I can't blame the staff too much, as they seemed to have a lot of orders to prepare for people picking up their food.
