Phenomenal all around!!…read more This is a cute lil outdoor food truck sorta situation right on the MA/RI line. They have a big parking lot & a nice deck outside with picnic tables to enjoy your food. The man working was so patient with us, answering all of our questions & taking all of our orders. I ordered 3 tacos (pastor, carnitas, & pollo) & a mandarin Jarritos for $14. We were in a large-ish group & all 5 of our orders came out within 15 minutes or so. Everything was PHENOMENAL. The verde sauce was so tasty & refreshing, I had to douse all of my tacos in it. I can't wait to come back again when I'm in the area - so affordable, quick, & tasty.

The food is fresh and made to order, so don't expect a 30 second turn around. I had the maiz Al pastor and my kid had the chicken harina (gringo style). Both were phenomenally fresh complete with tender proteins, crisp toppings and soft tortillas. The flavors were authentic and I felt like the prices were reasonable for what you got. The man that took my order was kind and helpful. The parking lot is a little small and awkward to navigate but there's several off street spots available. There's some picnic tables if you want to eat there but no inside dining that I could discern.

What a fun spot! I would love to know more about the lore and why they chose this theme…read more Went with some friends and we loved everything. The crispy brussel sprouts had a Thai peanut style which I love and don't get to see often! The Philly Smash (I think is newer) was very good and a nice highlight to their queso but the star of the show to us was the Mojo Pork (my friends even got one more final taco after our original order just to have it again). It was so moist where a lot of people can really dry out the pork and it did not skimp on the filling. My boyfriend had the mission style burrito with the barbacoa and said it was delicious and the cheese was very nicely melted. The drinks we had were also good and the service was great. I was the only one in our party that hadn't been before but I see why so many are fans and I'll definitely be back!

Black beans and rice were very good sides. Chip's and homemade salsa made for a good starter. Chips were lightly seasoned and a little thicker than most places. Shockingly Surprised, then disappointed…read more 2 visits with different outcomes. 1st was enjoyable, tacos were decent, margs were well made, and the prices were reasonable. Fell for the consum"ay" with the burria tacos 2nd visit, tacos were a sloppy greasy mess. Burria tacos tasted old and reheated, fried avocado tacos were gross, The drinks, we were not forewarned that a double means you pay double the price for a drink. Bill went from affordable to overpriced. To be honest, this place doesn't serve authentic tacos. It's one of those taco places that invents greasy messy (mac and cheese topped everything pun) tacos and I think they should serve a basic good fresh street taco that isn't dependent on some greasy add ons to try to be clever. Probably won't be back. Thanks

Sad that Dr. Duffs is no longer here but wanted to give this one a try since I am a taco fiend. I…read morereally wanted to like this place. But here are some of my honest opinions: Likes: - staff was great! Super nice and friendly. I gave an extra star mainly for them. - the Queso fries were good - the birra tacos were good but just a bit on the salty side. - the atmosphere looked cool Dislikes: - The boom boom crispy shrimp tacos- I don't enjoy lettuce in tacos and they loaded it with way too much sauce. It felt drenched so I couldn't really finish it. - Nashville hot fried chicken tacos- again too much lettuce and way too much sauce which seemed like sour cream. The chicken wasn't crispy and the taste was just ok. - and avocado tacos- way too much mayo all over this taco. It was overbearing. Might work for some people but not for me. - the smell of the unfinished wood was a bit too strong for my senses. Im always open to trying new taco spots and I hope they keep improving.

There was a brief moment in time where I thought Xaco Taco was overrated. That was until my friend…read morerecently wanted to check them out and I agreed. However, instead of getting tacos, we ordered our meal off the appetizer menu including shrimp ceviche rojo, tamarind-chile wings, and carne asada fries. Everything looked magnificent and portion sizes are great, especially considering that they're appetizers. The shrimp ceviche was delicious and well plated. I am not sure if the green stuff was olive oil but it helped keep the ceviche together. The Valentina provided the right amount of spice level. The tomato, cucumber, and avocado were very fresh. The tamarind chile wings were good, though I was disappointed the skin wasn't crispy and that it lacked a strong contrast between sweet / sour (tamarind) and spicy. I think they were more spicy and a tiny bit sour. The carne asada fries are a must whenever I go. All the ingredients work together so well. I am not sure if it's a new series, but the taco of the month for October is Taco Suadero which is supposed to be the belly of the cow but they use beef brisket. I tried one during another visit a couple days later and they were flavorful and the meat was very tender as promised. The staff is always great and they have seating indoors (bar, by the bar at high tables, or regular tables in a larger dining area) and outdoors. They have cool decorations inside. There is usually never a wait time since they do a good job of getting food out. They have TVs and will play sports.

The menu is very prominent and easy to read. Order at the counter and pay, and the food will be brought to your table. Staff were bi-lingual which is always a plus~ I did notice that a bell must be rung if you need something because the server is mostly in the back probably working. Rating: 4.3 Came to…read moretry for lunch. It's a small Mexican restaurant located in a plaza in Johnston. Parkings are available on the plaza. Inside is small with few seats and a counter where you place orders. It was not busy when we went so we placed an order and sat down. We got a homemade pineapple juice and few tacos including chorizo, steal, al pastor, and fish. Fish was not able to be ordered as single for some reason. Pineapple juice was tasty and natural so it wasn't too sweet. It was foamy maybe from blending with blender? The tacos were pretty good. Everything was seasoned well and came with some spicy sauce and lime. Personally I liked the chorizo and fish tacos the most. Steak/al pastor was a tad bit dry but wasn't bad. Service was good. Took a but for food to come out but I can tell they make a lot of things in the restaurant and prepares it after its been ordered. Overall, the place was good. It's a solid Mexican restaurant around the area. I can't say it's the best I've had though as there are a-lot of good competitors in RI. I would get chorizo tacos and their juice again if I come back.
