Brrrrr! So cold outside, we decided to grab a quick bite while doing errands. The manager on duty was super nice and even brought out my coffee to our table as we were talking about our plans for the day. We all ordered a variety of items off the tasty and crazy cheap ($1 menu) breakfast. Every was hot and made to order. We were very pleased with our choice this morning. We will be back to this location.

    Empty restaurant. Slow service.

They are always kind, fast and accurate. This is my go-to when I don't want to deal with @$$holes in Dade City every day.

This small local food truck offers a limited menu and has perfectly represented what a taco should be. The lengue (tongue) taco meat was seasoned to perfection and was melt in your mouth soft. Covered with onions, cilantro, sour cream and shredded cheese only compliments and completes this one of a kind taco. The pastor (marinated pork) is an explosion of flavor never experienced before. After I finished the first, I had to order two additional ones. Located in the parking lot of the Marathon gas station on the corner of SR-52 and Curley Rd in San Antonio, FL, those who are traveling along I75 and are up for a memorable foodie experience should exit and head 4 miles East to truly have a one of a kind remarkable experience. I can't wait to revisit this newly discovered epic gastrotruck.

Serving size is a bit much, but hey lunch for tomorrow! It's the place to go to for Margs. The chips are fine. The service is fast, friendly, and done with purpose, which really adds to the experience. The restaurant itself is well cared for and beautifully decorated with traditional Mexican touches that make it feel warm and inviting. It's the perfect place to relax and enjoy some truly awesome food. In my opinion, it's authentic Mexican cuisine with a hint of Tex-Mex flair. We both ordered sopes which was our fave here. I ordered one, and my husband ordered the sopes platter with two sopes, rice, & beans, I took his beans with my single sopes. This time the steak tasted different and the flavor wasn't all there. It was ok but definitely have had better ones now. They use to include guacamole too. That's long gone. We ordered a horchata and pineapple agua frescas. Of course these are more expensive and much smaller now. Service was ok but difficult to locate our server. It wasn't too busy either bc it was early in the week. Not sure if we will be back here much. Now I still want more sopes bc this one didn't fill my taste buds for it. Ambiance was loud and echoey with two parties. With a full house, wow bring your headphones bc it will be super intensely loud in case you have sensitive ears like me.

A full on Mexican taqueria hidden in a gas station on a random interstate road. Tacos, burritos, quesadillas and even tortas. Everything fresh and grilled to order. I go for the steak burrito. The meat could have used a little more seasoning, but it is super filling and good value. But as far as memorable, look no further than the churros. Hot, crispy, chewy, sweet goodness. The caramel filling is out of this world good. Easily the best churros I have ever had. El Patron is another gas station hit.

The menu is somewhat limited with a number of items taped over on the menu board, so not sure what those will be. But they have a number of good tacos and burritos. They have all the standard meats and even marinated pork (pastor). The tacos are small so the average person would need 2-3 to fill them up. The burritos are bigger, but also about three times the price of a single taco. The food is fresh and I enjoyed all the various flavors they loaded in. They offer red and green sauces on the side. I also tried the beans (side) which are light brown in their juice, but not refried. Drinks are limited with bottled water, Mexican Coca-Cola in a small bottle and a couple Mexican flavored sodas. No refills. They offer dine-in with about eight tables for 2-4 people. You order at the counter and they call your number when it's ready (mine took about 10 minutes). Definitely not big enough for large parties. Outside there are some tables with umbrellas. I enjoyed walking around the Krate to see all the mural art along with the new shops and restaurants that officially GRAND open on June 4th. Check this new entertainment venue out. They will have music on a stage in the park on the weekends. It is a bit hot during the summer, so preferred time is after sunset.

My friends and I would stop in almost every week. Those meals became part of my routine and part of my memories growing up. Realizing it has been more than thirty years since those first visits makes it even more meaningful to see the restaurant still open today. I am sure the family behind it had been serving the community long before I ever moved to Dade City in the late 80s. The fact that they are still here after so many decades says everything about their dedication and the quality of what they serve. Some reviewers talk about a lack of spices, but that was never my experience. Little Mexico always delivered real flavor and real consistency. They never needed to rely on anything flashy. They simply cooked good food and stood by their recipes. If a restaurant can maintain a positive reputation across generations, it means they earned it. I truly hope the family is doing well. Seeing them still succeed after all these years brings back memories and emotion I was not expecting. It feels like a piece of my childhood is still standing strong.
