Asada street tacos with wonderful verde salsa

Great taco truck, I'm just so darn thankful to find it here in this small town. Tried a few of my favorites not sure and wondering if I'd be satisfied, I wanted to keep it simple . I heard some good things about this place and I'm happy to say they are right . I ordered Asada street tacos with the works and the verde salsa it had just the right amount of heat . I was stoked to find they were made with homemade tortillas. The Asada was pretty flavorful added the rice and beans to my order too they were plain but had those authentic flavors you want . Next time I'll be ordering some tamales too . They had a few picnic tables set up so a large party could fit for sure . And it's was covered to protect from the sun .

We'd planned to stop in the tiny town of Dade City, on a motorcycle ride with some friends. It just…read morehappened to no be National Taco Day so we stopped here. We all ordered the taco platter (two tacos of your choice--soft or crunchy, and steak, chicken, ground beef, or shredded beef...and rice and beans). Great street-style tacos! Two types of salsa--I preferred the verde with a little bite. And even better, the owner came out with a platter of tacos...on the house! Barbacoa, carnitas and al pastor. Too cool. Gracias! Cold horchata, tasty food, friendly service and very reasonable prices. #Winning The only downside: They don't serve alcohol. And a couple of cold ones would've gone down so nicely... Highly recommended, of course.

Little Mexico has been part of my life for a very long time. I first ate there when I was about…read moretwelve, back in the early 90s while attending the Catholic school right next door. My friends and I would stop in almost every week. Those meals became part of my routine and part of my memories growing up. Realizing it has been more than thirty years since those first visits makes it even more meaningful to see the restaurant still open today. I am sure the family behind it had been serving the community long before I ever moved to Dade City in the late 80s. The fact that they are still here after so many decades says everything about their dedication and the quality of what they serve. Some reviewers talk about a lack of spices, but that was never my experience. Little Mexico always delivered real flavor and real consistency. They never needed to rely on anything flashy. They simply cooked good food and stood by their recipes. If a restaurant can maintain a positive reputation across generations, it means they earned it. I truly hope the family is doing well. Seeing them still succeed after all these years brings back memories and emotion I was not expecting. It feels like a piece of my childhood is still standing strong.
