Amazing experience!!! If you drive too fast you might just miss this gem. My first order ever has the steak torta for lunch - the service was so quick and friendly that I drove back for dinner that same day! This time getting 4 tacos, along with my husband's steak quesadilla. "Best quesadilla I've ever had" - my husband. You cannot beat the price for such authentic food. There's plenty of outside seating to wait and eat at. 10/10 you'll see us back here again read more

You know what I was very dissatisfied the quality of food I received from this establishment. The churros were old and stale, like y'all microwaved an old batch and threw it into tin foil. The tacos were a solid 2/10. The burritos ain't even stay together what the hell is going on (0 effort). I spent damn near $80 for what I feel was a $20 meal at best. I have nothing against the people who own this establishment or those who work here, but do better. read more

When you open the to go box, the burritos appear quite large. But the main ingredient is coarsely chopped lettuce. There was no cheese, a few pieces of diced tomato, and a smattering of chicken chopped so finely that you'd be hard pressed to identify it as poultry. Add the runny refried beans, and you literally cannot eat them without plating them & using a knife & fork. Definitely not worth $27 for two burritos. read more

I found my new and permanent spot for authentic Mexican food in Zephyrhills. I was nervous at first because the last place I went to hit the nail on the head and it became a favorite of mine HOWEVER I can gladly say that the tacos were great and the staff was very friendly. Went there for a date with my wife and I was just blown away. My only two complaints were that I could smell a fowl odor nearby but it was made by an animal and that's out of their control, my other complaint is that I do wish refills were free especially with what I paid. That all being said they still deserve their 5 out of 5 and I will be going again read more

My husband and I took a little trip down memory lane and came back to this spot after years of it being our go-to. Now that we've moved back to the area, we had to see if it still hit the same--and three years later, it definitely does. The food is always fresh and delicious, the service is quick, and the vibe never misses. read more

This place is my go to taco place for my wife, and my nacho place for me. The people here are very warm and friendly, as it's a family owned and operated business, and if you go on the weekend, this nice man plays the drums live while playing over a song (to raise money for charity). The chicken tacos are simple but tasty, and the nachos are addictive good! The price also isn't that bad (has gone up recently though) read more

My Wife and I were in Wesley Chapel and we were feeling hungry, so we decided to search for a restaurant nearby. We came across Taco Amigo and found parking nearby. Initially, we had doubts about the place, but we decided to give it a try anyway. I approached the window to order and Bryan greeted me. He helped me choose the best tacos on the menu and I ended up ordering two Chicken Tacos, one Shrimp Taco, and one Fish Taco. While we waited for our order, we enjoyed the live music. When the food arrived, we started with the Chicken Tacos, and they were good. However, our favorite was the Fish Taco, which was absolutely delicious. The fish was cooked to perfection and it was the highlight of our meal. Overall, I would highly recommend Taco Amigo to anyone. Their Fish Tacos are especially noteworthy and definitely worth trying! read more

Stopped here en route to Scream-a-geddon at the recommendation of a friend. It did not disappoint! It's a little kiosk off the road but there is parking where you can pull in and some tables to eat outside. It definitely looks like it's been there a long time. The person behind the counter had some recommendations that we tried boy was it delicious! Highly recommend popping over here if you want some real tacos. All of the different meats were juicy and seasoned perfectly. Not much else to say except go eat the food. It was tasty! The burrito was huge! Definitely shareable if you're not crazy hungry. If I had a reason to go out that way more, I would. I thanked my friend for the recommendation! Also, they do have a bathroom if you need to use one and staff was super friendly. read more

Great food, great place to go when you just want to seat outside and take a break while having tasty, delicious food

I think I ordered the wrong thing because it was bland and not enough cheese. I had a chicken quesadilla. The food came out fast. This place has outside seating and the staff were friendly. I will go back to give it another shot but the quesadilla won't be it. read more

Been wanting to try this place for a couple years and every time I go buy it on Gall Boulevard in Zephyrhills. I was in the area and decided to stop by and I wasn't disappointed. I got the 4 taco special with a free soda and got two steak, one fish and one shrimp and they were all pretty decent street tacos. I also got the Flautas meal which I are one, but I wanted to take it home for lunch tomorrow. That was also very good. Cute little place and the guy at the window was friendly, but it's not a quiet place. If you decide to sit outside with all the traffic and trucks going by. But it didn't bother me because I was eating these yummy tacos! read more

Taco Mama is my "if I could only eat at one restaurant for the rest of my life." It really is that good. I have had everything on their food menu at this point and we eat here weekly. Food was pretty good!! We got the burritos and tacos (I will say the tacos had a massive amount of onions, so, if you don't like onions ask them to take them out) but anyway, for the price it's a great place! Horchata was delicious too. read more

Great Food, reasonably priced, I have tried the tacos and the burrito. Does not disappoint.

I had a very good food. I ordered a few items from menu service was great. Outdoor seating clean tables.

My rating needs another visit to lock in exactly how I feel. Had takeout of a number of items. The fish taco was small, so you'll need more than one of those to actually get the flavor going. The steak burrito was really good...nice and large with plenty of filling and meat. Only recommendation is not to take it out of the wrapper because they don't cap the end, so everything started falling out. The soup was not good as a to-go item. First it was so hot that the lid melted. Then the top fell off in the car and the soup sloshed everywhere. Lastly it was much too salty. Ended up throwing it out after two spoon fulls. Luckily soup should never control the overall meal vibe and the main food was much better. This place usually packs em in, so I will need to visit a second time now that I know what's good. I'll do a second review and add some pictures once that happens. read more

Taco Amigo now has a physical location in Zephyrhills. It's a really cute vibrant location with walk up order or call ahead and a good number of picnic tables that are outside. I did notice that the people working are not wearing masks. That was a bit concerning in this day and age. I ordered the queso birria tacos. That's the reason I came here. They did not disappoint, but they are sooo good. They are 2.75 each and two was filling for me. I also ordered two tamale. They were pretty good. I dipped them in the sauce that the birria tacos came with. My husband had the sopes which was pretty much tons of lettuce and the meat was a bit salty. The best part was the queso birria tacos and the horchata. I'll be back for those for sure! read more

After reading the reviews for this place, I was expecting a lot more than what I got. First of all, they only have corn tortillas, or at least when I went, that's what they said. I ordered two Pastor, one chicken, and one shrimp taco. The pastor was absolutely amazing! It tasted very authentic. As for the chicken, it tasted similar to a Taco Bell taco. The shrimp taco was not good either. The actual shrimp were good, but it has lettuce and tomato on top which make it taste dull. The Horchata here is also also not authentic. The service was great, and they have a lot of outdoor seating. I would come back here for the pastor, and maybe some other dishes, but I will not go out of my way to come back here, if I am not in the area. read more

Today, the girls and I made a new friend.. yes, a Taco Amigo (get it, made a friend at Taco Amigo!? Appreciate my dad joke, Karen!) Annyywwwaaayys, perhaps some of the best Tacos in the Tampa Bay area.. yes, a small, little Taco stand, where you order at a window and sit outside or go home- makes some of the best tacos in Tampa. The way it should be, simple and delicious. Tacos were never meant to have a ton of cheese, lettuce or sour cream; just meat, onions, cilantro and your favorite salsa served on the side. And these tacos are exactly what a taco should be. Packed with meat and the perfect size so you can enjoy several. I had bites of several, but my absolute favorite was the Birria! Taste the richness of the culture with this one taco and thank me later. Absolutely delicious. A close second, the pastor. Extremely flavorful and well seasoned. Look, this place, so unassuming and simple, is the real deal. And if my girls will take a break from their normal unicorn Mac and cheese dinners and scarf this down, then it's a winner and a must visit in my book. We will certainly be back. Just the everyday father giving you his perspective. What you do with it is completely up to you. Eat Well Amigos. Cheers! read more

With great consideration I am making this review. I ordered steak tacos. The corn tortillas they used were tough, hard to chew. The steak was full of grizzle/fat and the meat was overcooked. I had to use a ton of lime, hot sauce and sour cream to make it edible. My son had never ate there. I brought him because he said Taco Belle and I said Nooo. Let's go to an actual restaurant instead. We were both completely unimpressed. I have had before and got the taco salad and it was decent. This was not that. I wish I had took a picture. read more

The food is good but the service sucked A big language barrier. Ask for something and it is like he gets discusted with you. Bothering him.

Love a taco stand- This place did not disappoint! Passed by as we were heading to our hotel for the night, after checking in made the hubby turn around and go back. Got there about 15mins before closing- service was fast, they were friendly and food is delicious!! Ordered the special which is 4 tacos and get a free beverage. Also a side of chips and cheese dip, amazing!! Not fancy at all but if you love tacos like I do check them out!! Taco Alambre's are the best and whatever the mild green sauce is and the guacamole sauce is delicious! read more

Taco Amigo is an order at the window spot but they have a covered seating area with nice tables with bench seating to enjoy your food there if you can't wait to make it home. Staying in town for work and passed this place, had to try it! The food is phenomenal! Coming from Orlando we really don't have a lot of Mexican food, mostly Tex mex which is good but not amazing. Man what a great find thanks to a tip from a family member. As soon as I heard the word authentic street tacos my radar went off, man I had to check it out and boy was that tip spot on!!!! From the moment you walk up this renovated old school building you know your going to have a great Noms experience... When we walked up to the order window we were met buy the owner who was super friendly and showed his true love and pride in not only his food but his business. We placed our order and then choose a comfy spot on one of the any tables out front. The atmosphere was perfect, the cool breeze and ever so often scent of the soon to be arriving tacos made me crazy waiting for that perfect moment to squeeze that lime on those fresh made tacos and that perfect taste moment.. The food did not disappoint... The carnitas were fresh and flavored packed but best of all was the chorizo ones... all I can say was wow.. man the smoked Ancho Chile and paprika flavors blew my taste buds away!!! All I can say is I will soon return and soon enough could not happen. I might just have to make this my Friday night spot. So if you find yourself in the Z Hills area hankering for some street tacos or some just plain old Tex Mex make it a point to stop on in.. trust me your taste buds and tummy will thank you... read more
