Unfortunately, I do feel inclined to leave this 1 star review for the safety of other customers. I spend around $40 at La Poblanita, I bought some interesting snacks and stuff like that. It wasn't until I got home that and more closely inspected all these items that I realized that almost ALL of them are expired. Not just recently, half of those being expired in 2022. I bought various popsicles and every single one of them were heavily expired and appeared to have been completely melted and then refrozen again, and unbelievably freezer burnt. These popsicles contain dairy so I consider this a serious safety concern. I was so pleased with the inside of the store that I didn't even think not to trust the items being sold. I am shocked that these have gone unnoticed. What a shame. Please be aware of this when shopping here.

We ordered boneless wings for an app and they came out within a few mins piping hot. We thought they tasted good, but were such a small portion for $8.99. For mains, we had the small Cuban with chips that was a special that day for $9.99 and the pepperoni calzone for $14.99. The calzone surprised us all, taking up a quarter of the table space. The crust was fresh and chewy, the marinara for dipping was flavorful, and there was plenty of pepperoni and cheese inside. We thought the Cuban was average. The chips were delicious, extra crispy, and paired perfectly with their homemade French onion dip. The dining area and bar are on the smaller side, but the ambiance is nice. Taqueria 304 is an awesome Wheeling gem and well-worth a visit if you have an affinity for all…read morethings Mexican food. Came here with a friend last week and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I want to lead with the best here: the bartender/server here provided some of the best service I have experienced in the last few years. So many people have come to expect poor service (including myself) that positive experiences like this really serve as a wake-up call to what the dining experience ought to be like. Kudos to Taqueria 304 for hiring the best! I can't omit the excellent food and stellar plate presentation either. My friend and I both got the loaded nachos as our entrees and they were as delicious as they were beautiful. As for the drinks, plenty of beers on tap and in bottles to suit your needs, particularly of the Mexican variety (fitting). Ambiance is nice with some clever furnishings, like the sideways doors carpentered to serve as an entryway wall. One thing I will mention is that open-concept establishments tend to have noise issues and this place is no exception; even still, my friend and I were able to hear each other on this occasion (no promises when the place is full). Parking here can be challenging due to all the construction currently happening in the area though there are spots available on both sides of the street which ought to be enough at most times of the day. All things considered, Taqueria 304 is a welcome addition to the area and I hope they stick around for a long time to come! Overall: 4.5 stars ---- Pros: - Outrageously good service, that needs to be commended in a world where such service is increasingly rare. - Excellent food with a skilled eye for presentation. - Great draft/bottle beer selection. - Pleasant ambiance with clever furnishings. Cons: - Open-concept spots can have noise issues, though it wasn't too bad during our visit. - Parking is tough but still available.
