The Man working at the drive-through window was in such a happy mood and genuinely enthusiastic about working his job.

Relaxed and quite at the bar with a couple of games playing on TV's above the bar. The new drink menu looked enticing and the Maple Reserve was a winner. The Redline neither of us really cared for. The Tilefish on the specials menu was phenomenal. Light with a delicious sauce. Wife had the French Dip which is very consistently good. We took the Strawberry Shortcake Tiramisu to go and it was also very good. Hope it stays on the menu.

The fire places were going and looked really neat at the location. Inside it's very nice, and staff were very friendly. We ordered drinks, I tried a couple different beers and my wife got the special caramel apple sangria. We got the spinach dip as an appetizer and it was very good. She ordered the chicken Alfredo which she really liked. I tried the ribeye with onions and mushroom's, Yukon mashed potatoes and veggies. The steak was good but not great. The mashed potatoes were really tasty. The veggies were way over seasoned. Everything was filling and I'd like to come back and try some other items. Although it can get pretty pricey at this restaurant.

Visited here for the first time over the Thanksgiving holiday…read more Vineyards is a bit off the beaten path, about 15 miles south of Youngstown. The Tasting Restaurant can be found down a long drive through the vineyards, passed a round-a-about and perching above the Pine Lake. It definitely has a country club vibe to it. It's a little bit of a hike from the lot to the door, so you may find it necessary to drop off your party at the door. Our party was seated on the patio. It was heated, but there are many windows that give you a great view of the lake. It was a pretty chilly spot in late November, so bring a cardigan. Service was efficient and present, but not too bothersome. A couple in our party ordered flights so that we could try a nice selection of their wines. We enjoyed the Gold Medal and Fruit Lovers flights on this occasion. I have found that at many Ohio wineries you are best off trying sweeter wines, as getting those bold, dry grapes is harder than in other parts of the country. Though I enjoyed the Berry Patch and Midnight Vines, the Pinot Noir was also impressive. Additionally, I tried the Honey Mango Jalapeno Ale. It was too many things for my palette - not my jam. For dinner I found the special stuffed pepper soup to be a hit, while the French Onion was a miss. The broth was a bit too watery and could have benefitted from a beefier au jus. The Mushroom Ravioli was a fantastic choice, particularly if you are vegetarian. While the Figgy Flatbread was good, it was a bit one note. The bread was a little thicker than I would have expected and ultimately the dish fell a little flat. I would definitely try again, but it is a bit of an adventure to get that far out of town.

What a fabulous winery in a quiet part of Ohio! My friend brought me here on a recent trip to…read moreYoungstown and this was a top notch evening! First the stunning views from the deck are exactly what one wants to see when sipping on wine and having charcuterie. The wines. I love you can do a flight at the table in addition to the tasting bar. This is a plus for me as someone who would like to take their time when trying multiple wines. I also live that you can add a single sample to any flight this is very customer friendly. The food. We ordered the charcuterie board (Def get it for 3+ people) and yes $30 may seen like a lot you get $30 worth of food and more. I left with two boxes! This is what I want for a lingering evening at a winery while having wine, visiting with friends and listening to easy acoustic music. Domenick was our server and he was such a pleasure. Knew the menu, knew answers to our questions, and was very friendly. (Everyone there was!) Cannot recommend this place enough for a night on the town if in the area.

The reason I'm giving it 1 star is because the owners clearly do not have children or just enjoy torturing children by dangling in front of them fun things that they cannot have. The reason I say this is that we came the other night and my daughter played in the splash pad while we ate our ice cream. Today it was sunny and 83 degrees and our daughter had been begging us for Dairy Queen so we thought we would come to our then-favorite location. We drive up and the splash pad is on but when we walk up we notice that the gate is locked. We asked inside if they could unlock the gate and they initially said "no because of covid"...when that clearly wasn't the case a couple days ago. We told them that we were just here the other day and the splash pad was open. A teenage employee then said he would "go check." He came back a couple minutes later and notified us that the health department allegedly told them they could put the fountain on for the splash pad but not open the gate? How do you explain this to a three year old? The water is on hunny but it's just for looking at...?! Why even turn it on? That is just cruel.
