Missing 2 burritos
Jamie D.

Stopped by to grab some dinner on my way, my drive was 40 minutes away. I do it quite a bit on the weekends. Ordered 4 bean burritos, cheese bean and rice burrito, crunch wrap supreme, and chips and cheese. Once I got to my destination I realized I only got 3 bean burritos so 2 burritos were missing. I then opened the crunch wrap and it's burnt. Burnt so bad I didn't eat it. So now for $15 I got 3 bean burritos and chips and cheese to eat which does not feed everyone. I tried to call because there was no way I'm driving 40 min back and no one answered. The guy at the window was very nice but he was playing around with another worker so I'm guessing that's how I'm missing 2 burritos. Frustrating when you are out about $7 and dinner!

This is what a grande steak with extra steak and bacon looks like apparently..
Afsoc X.

Taco Bell fire everyone immediately, shut down and re open with a working staff who cares. This isn't the first time the morning crew screws up but it's the last time at this location I'll ever go.

Just quality, well-made food, that is made fresh to order. I came here solo to try the tacos since I had been seeing the great reviews and I was not disappointed. I ordered a quesabirra taco, pastor taco, and steak taco to go. They have a salsa bar where you can try ~6 different salsas. They even offer small to go containers with lids if you are not eating at the restaurant. The tacos were still hot by the time I got home and they were delicious. My favorite was the quesabirria, but all of them were plenty flavorful. They come with a lime and that is it, besides the topics listed on the menu, which is really all you need. I tried the spicy verde and spicy tomatillo salsas and both were the perfect amount of spice and wonderful flavor. It was so good I brought the family back the next day. We came mid-morning and we were hoping to try the breakfast tacos. However, they were not on the menu and, when we asked, they said they no longer did breakfast. This was disappointing, but everyone enjoyed their food and my birria burrito was good as well. I prefer the tacos, but if you enjoy burritos, definitely give it a try. The restaurant ambiance is well lit, has 1 or 2 TVs, and music playing. The service was good, not over the top, but did not leave me begging for more as well. I highly recommend this spot for Tacos. Can't wait to come back on Tuesdays for $2 tacos!

The proteins were tender and flavorful!! I i could eat 3-4 tacos in a sitting but didnt want to overdo it. If you're into spice, I always recommend adding the orange sauce to your tacos! Thank me later! Customer Service: Our waitress was very attentive. Unfortunately, I didn't get her name to be recognized but I have always been pleasant with service here! The staff is polite, attentive, and whether busy or not, the food comes fast, hot, and fresh! Ambiance: My boss and I went after work (5pm) and it wasn't busy at all in the evening! This was abnormal to me but I was happy to get seated quickly. They seem to have added more tvs since my last visit, but it is a welcoming space. Has an ice cream area and they also serve alcohol! I would highly recommend giving this place a chance!

We stopped in for Sunday lunch and to watch the afternoon football game. Inside, the dining room is a mix of booths and tables. There is a full bar on one side. We were told to sit anywhere. Emerson, our server, was friendly and attentive. Beverages, complementary chips and salsa came out quickly. Food came out quickly, as well. The salsa is really good with lots of sweet tomato chunks and spices. I had the Taco Salad with shredded chicken. The salad came in a fried tortilla bowl. The generous portion of chicken was moist and flavorful. The guac topping was delicious. My husband had the lunch special Chimichanga with ground beef. His plate was huge and colorful with pico, rice, beans and a cheesy covered chimichanga. The food is a step above your average Mexican restaurant. They offer daily drink specials (beer and margarita). I was tempted, but it was just too early in the day. They also have a kid's menu. There is plenty of parking in the strip mall lot and the restaurant is fully accessible. I recommend and will return.

I got the quesa birria tacos, which is shredded beef and melted cheese in a double corn tortilla. They come three to an order, with a cup of red consomme to dip them into, and a couple of lime wedges to squeeze over everything. They do not come with any sides, so I ordered the refried pinto beans and carrot rice, because I really wanted some rice and beans. Beans and rice are my litmus test of any Mexican restaurant, and I'm happy to say that the rice and beans at Tlahcos passed the test with flying colors, and they are sublime. I don't practice Santeria, but perhaps the people at Tlahcos do, because their food is bewitching. The carne asada was also ordered, and it came with grilled nopales (cactus), cebollita canbray (little onions), grilled panela cheese, plus guacamole, salsa, rice and black beans. It was a 98%, and what would have raised it to a 100% was if it came with tortillas. But really, it was a great dish! If you're a person who is used to eating carne asada on a regular basis, you will be satisfied with this one. Chips and salsa are complimentary, which shows that Tlahcos knows its Plainfield-area visitors. My children, who eat like birds, filled themselves up on chips and salsa and declined a full meal, but Tlahcos does have a kids menu. On the kids menu, you'll find arroz con pollo, mini cheese quesadillas, a taco, mac & cheese, chicken nuggets and a mini pizza. Kid meals come with your choice of side, which are fries, rice & beans or a cup of fruit. They have a full cocktail list, as well as beer, wine and hot beverages (coffee and tea). I got a Paloma, which was a little light on the booze, but tasty nevertheless. The rim of the glass was beautifully decorated with Tajin, which added a nice, spicy kick. It was one of those drinks that makes you want to lick the glass.
