It's had for businesses to make it in a small town. I hope La Jefa sticks around.

We went to Margaritas in Bolivar, TN, for a late lunch/early supper on Thursday. First, let me say…read morethat the prices were WAY higher than other Mexican restaurants in the area. I had the burritos deluxe and Dad had something different. I don't recall what it was, but it looked delicious. My burritos were very good. They were covered with cheese sauce, lots of lettuce, tomatoes, and sour cream. Dad took a bite of what he got, and you could see him literally tear up and turn red. It was very hot, and he doesn't like spicy food. It looked like 4 individual items, all with a uniform size and shape. They kinda like egg rolls. We each had Diet Pepsi, which Dad hated, but that was all they had. Overall, we both were disappointed with the meal. The ambience was loud and boisterous, which, again, we didn't like. We probably won't be back.

Most important, the food was REALLY good. I didn't really understand the menu at first, and the man…read morebehind the counter wasn't very friendly. He told me their chips and salsa aren't like what you get in most Mexican restaurants, and that they make their salsa in house. I was confused, because I was like, What do you mean your chips and salsa aren't like chips and salsa? But I get it now, and they really aren't. The chips are totopos, and the salsa is a very flavorful, thin pureed sauce that has been cooked or roasted-- not sure exactly how they make it, but there is cooking and technique involved for sure. They were SO GOOD. So delicious-- I have an Oaxaca restaurant nearish me, and now I can't wait to try it. I ordered the ceviche, which came with the totopos. I asked for more salsa verde and glad I did. They do charge for extra salsa (if your order comes with it, they give you a little of each the red and green). Glad I did because it was SO GOOD. I licked the container for real. If I ever come back to Covington it would be to come here and have the exact same thing. I took a star off because I didn't like the service.

Tasty chicken, for a Fish House…read more My wife and I recently met up with other family members to enjoy a tasty meal at J&J. While most everyone had different food choices, everyone appeared to enjoy their meal. Although we did get our food, the delivery was a bit slow. Ironically, it was the fish meals that were delivered last. However, the 3-piece Dark of Krispy Krunchy Chicken that I had was fantastic! The chicken arrived hot, and it was moist, spicy, and full of flavor. The legendary "Krunch" was a hit for me. The seasoned fries were also good, but a wee bit cold when they arrived. The rest of our group said their food was good too. Now they also had some good looking desserts, but I was too full to even try them - on this visit, maybe next time. If you're nearby, you may know how good the food tastes. If you don't know or if you're just passing through Bolivar, check them out if you want a good meal.
