King of Wings is a small local business and its for carryout only. They have a waiting area but not big enough for tables and chairs. They serve other things besides Wings like burgers but if it's called King Of Wings of course I'm getting wings. The employees are so friendly. They treat each customer like family. It was nice seeing that they have great connections to their customers. I couldn't make up my mind on what dry rub flavor I wanted and the lady behind the glass suggested I just mix the two seasonings and I'm so glad she did. I ordered ten Wings 1/2 BBQ and the other half was a cajun/garlic blend. I also ordered a side of seasoned fries. When I tell you that cajun/garlic blend made me do a little happy dance after my first bite it was so delicious. The seasoned fries were crinkle cut which went well with the Wings. I also like how they toss the veggies in the sauce and cook it along with the Wings. I can't wait to visit again, I've been dreaming of those wings.

Depending on who is preparing the food and who is at the register, you could be charged for a plate deal or you could be charged for each item individually. Or you could be charged for both a plate deal and individually. Some days fries are considered a side in a plate, others they get their own charge. You just never know. At least they do list their prices on a menu board, which a lot of the convenience stores don't do, so at least you get an idea of how much you'll pay if you're charged individually. Don't get the biscuits and gravy if you like seasoning. The gravy is so bland. No pepper flavor. Very little salt. Definitely no sausage flavor. Some days it is thick. Most days it is quite thin. Some days they are generous with it, others they are very skimpy and then charge more if you ask for some extra. The pork chops are still fantastic, though, and the biscuits are very good by themselves.

This Pilot is a bit of a headache in terms of getting in and out and wasn't so easy and was very busy but having said that they have the cheapest gas in the area and I really appreciated that. I heard someone lamenting the other day about how all the mother and father owned truck stops are not as good and have bad parking lots and everything is expensive and it's kind of true but honestly, these big truck stops things are expensive too so let's not make any bones about that. But what I will say about them is they often have cheap gas and they are always good places to sleep in, are pretty safe and big and well-lit and for the most part I think they're pretty damn awesome.
