Depending on who is preparing the food and who is at the register, you could be charged for a plate deal or you could be charged for each item individually. Or you could be charged for both a plate deal and individually. Some days fries are considered a side in a plate, others they get their own charge. You just never know. At least they do list their prices on a menu board, which a lot of the convenience stores don't do, so at least you get an idea of how much you'll pay if you're charged individually. Don't get the biscuits and gravy if you like seasoning. The gravy is so bland. No pepper flavor. Very little salt. Definitely no sausage flavor. Some days it is thick. Most days it is quite thin. Some days they are generous with it, others they are very skimpy and then charge more if you ask for some extra. The pork chops are still fantastic, though, and the biscuits are very good by themselves.

This Pilot is a bit of a headache in terms of getting in and out and wasn't so easy and was very busy but having said that they have the cheapest gas in the area and I really appreciated that. I heard someone lamenting the other day about how all the mother and father owned truck stops are not as good and have bad parking lots and everything is expensive and it's kind of true but honestly, these big truck stops things are expensive too so let's not make any bones about that. But what I will say about them is they often have cheap gas and they are always good places to sleep in, are pretty safe and big and well-lit and for the most part I think they're pretty damn awesome.

Overall, I did enjoy the flavors across the board. The thin and crispy chips along side of the tasty salsa were great. I tried the chile relleno and enchilada combo and ordered a side taco. The relleno and enchilada were tasty. I did ask for a cheese enchilada, which came out with beef in it, and I did ask for a shredded beef taco which came out with ground beef instead. Not perfect, and I didn't say anything. Shortly into our meal our waitress came over and handed me a shredded beef taco. I really appreciated the fact that she caught that mistake and corrected it perfectly. I also ordered a shot of tequila with an ice cube, and it came out in a full glass of ice, lol. Not perfect, but I still took it down. Overall, I enjoyed my trip here and would stop in again. Side note, if they would make their own hard shells like they do here in the southwest, the shredded beef taco would have been top notch! I'm just not used to the pre-made shells.
