This isn't your average Taco Bell. Everything about this location makes it the worst Taco Bell I've ever seen. I've been here a few times now and have never had a good experience. Anything ranging from the 45 mins it takes to get through their drive-through of 5-6 cars for apparently no reason (they close the inside of the building all the time), although there are plenty of workers inside. If that's too long to wait and you're already in the line, we'll too bad. There's no way to exit the line once you get in. If they do happen to have the inside open, you will have to stand at the counter and wait for someone to even acknowledge you (while they walk right past you...). After getting your food you'll have to decide which of the tables has the least amount of food on or around it, so you can clean yourself off a place to sit. Besides those issues, every time I've gotten food here, something has been wrong with it. Ranging from the chalupa shells being rock hard, to being served tacos with no meat, as well as the regular wrong order being given to you. Overall, this place has a 2 star rating, but that is highly overrated for the food/service of this establishment. read more

This place needs to close, along with the one in menasha and the one on express court. I can't believe the franchisee hasn't done anything to improve the experience....they shut down the lobby randomly for BS excuses, orders take a minimum of 30 minutes... On Express court they RAN OUT OF TACO MEAT. How the hell is that even possible considering how slow they are. They could have raised a calf, put it in a 4H competition, then slaughtered it and then cooked it up within the time it takes them to complete one order. But seriously, shut down, no crappy taco is worth getting trapped in a drive though for 45 minutes because the owner is too cheap to pay anybody to work there.... even one person thinking they just wanted one taco gets stuck in the Drive-Thru line for that long is a safety hazard as well. read more

Horrible!!! Took for 45 mins in the drive through. And once we got to the window he said it'd be another 30 mins to get out food. So then my boyfriend went in to say something and hopefully get our money back and everyone that was in the drive through was now inside waiting. Review posted by my girlfriend, who felt the need to leave good, honest feedback. We came to this location fairly late, on our way to grocery shopping. I asked the cashier what was on a specific burrito, and he was more than willing to oblige. We stood waiting for maybe a minute and decided to sit down. All of a sudden a man walks in and whips down a bag from the drive through. He starts snapping his fingers at the people in the back, "This is ridiculous and completely wrong!!" The cashier that helped me out was doing everything to help out the disgruntled customer. The angry customer got angrier with every word as the cashier was trying to help. The people in back were remaking his food and he threatened to post how awful his service was. After getting his correct order and leaving, we received our food and the woman apologized for the wait. Ok for some reason this was such a memorable Taco Bell trip. By the time you hit Appleton from Chicago, you're pretty hungry. And thirsty. And your throat hurts from belting out songs along the highway for the last 200 miles. So you show up here, one of the few locations indicated by signs off the highway. And the staff is, if anything, very overzealous in making sure that you're enjoying your meal. In the 20 minutes we were there, acting like full on high-as-a-kite teenagers, giggling and twittery, we were asked THREE times if we needed a refill on our drinks. Yeah I know we're cute and all, and the guy working behind the counter must have been bored, but he definitely went out of his way to make sure that our singing throats were amply bevereage'd. I live in a city 40 minutes away and came here cause I was nearby. Ordered a triple melt burrito that my city has and it's been out for months. The drive through worker said he'd. Went again around 7pm. Doors locked.. Again. Just don't go here. The food always sounds good, but the service will consistantly disappoint if you even get served. They claim to be short staffed and that is why they close lobby, but refuse to update their business hours to be accurate. The area manager also CLAIMS to be hiring more to fix the problem, but the problem goes back over 4 months and still isn't fixed. Immediately the employee tells me they only have one person working the drive thru and one in the kitchen so there would be a long wait... The Bell is the Bell. You don't typically go there for fine Mexican cuisine so It doesn't make much sense for me to judge the quality of food. It's the same. Any given day it's a little better or a little worse. Relatively speaking they are all the same, and I've been to many. What makes this Taco Bell special is that they have completely disregarded the concept of Fast Food. In fact, they completely suck at being fast in any way. I'm not sure who is to blame more, myself for coming back time after time or T Bell for sucking so hard. I even show up at 11:30 to beat the rush but that does not remedy the problem. I've tried drive thru as well, still not the answer. Something not to be forgotten, the employees are all good. They are friendly and seem to have the register part down pat, but the rest of the process needs work. Not just a district manager showing up for a couple of days but some real work. This has been going on for a good year now. Other Taco Bell stores do not have this problem. It is very centralized to this one location. All I'm saying is if you are in a rush, don't go. On Fri August 13th 2021, I ordered $35.60 of Taco Bell ''food''. When I got home, the 2 Bur. Supremes had the consistency of hog-slop, squeezed from a . Not having any problems before at a Taco Bell,....I ate them. But I had no idea what it was. I took the rest of the order home & heated a Chalupa & a Crunchwrap thing. I took ONE BITE of the Chalupa & almost puked. The oil was SO RANCID! I tried the Crunchwrap...same thing. I cut the rest of my order in pieces & set it on the porch overnight next to some old canned dog food. By morning, the beasts of the night had eaten the spoiled dog food but dragged a piece of Crunchwrap off the plate & abandoned it. I called the restaurant the next day & asked for the manager. ''I AM the manager!'' she growled. I explained the situation. She said a supervisor will call me within the next 24 hrs. It's now Monday 11:15 Pm. HORRIBLE. Every time I go here, the employees are rude and slow. I once stood at the counter for 10min while an employee dawdled around the lobby area. She stopped taking my order and left to go to the back after I had only gotten through one item. Another time, I walked in and they told me they had a 20min wait. I waited 45min. Worst customer service and most rude employees I've ever encountered at ANY establishment. I sat in the drive thru for 35-40 minutes waiting for my food. When I got home I opened the bag of food to find that the nachos were just a tray of sour cream! Literally like 10 stale chips with a gallon of sour cream poured on top....no tomatoes and didn't see any meat on them, as their nachos normally have. The soft shell tacos were hard and the food was cold, and for waiting 40 minutes it could have at least been hot! I called the store to say I needed a refund or needed my food re-made. Rather than rectifying the issue about the horrible condition of the food, the supposed "manager" continuously argued with me about how long I waited in the drive thru! She called me a liar, saying that I was calling the wrong store because she knows how long their wait times have been, and they've been "watching their times". I said obviously she can't tell time because I have a clock in my car AND on my phone and I know what time I pulled up in the drive thru and I know when I left! I said " why do you continue to argue with me about the wait time when that isn't even the reason I called?" I again said I wanted a refund or the food re-made so that it was edible. She refused both things. They KNOW they are lying because if they have cameras they can go back and watch the video of how long I sat there waiting in line, and they could also see their employee dumping a bucket of sour cream on a tray! They refused to acknowledge anything because they KNOW THEY ARE WRONG. I've never had a place of business sit and argue with me and call the customer a liar! I've never had such horrible service in my life! Maybe McDonalds can train the Taco Bell employees because at least if a McDonald's employee screws up an order they will make it right or refund your money back! This place was an absolute joke. Not to mention another customer just told me they got busted for credit charge tip frauds. Anyways when we go in to order they are screaming in high pitch voices for this one worker to come take our order. She then comes to the front in her pajamas. Confused as I should be I placed my order just fine but she continued to then talk in a super "babyish" tone the entire time. Also even stating to me she does this at drive through too! Like what? Just annoying. After I ordered my food my friend proceeded to order her food. She ended up getting her order before I did. I looked back about 2 mins after noticing her food was cold and saw my order sitting right on the counter with no worker calling my name as they should for my name to be called like they do. I went to taco bell for dinner last night and ordered the fries box with a large soda pop and cheesy roll ups. When receiving my order every thing was cold. The taco shells were very old and hard. However the other hand is they had 3 people on drive thru one cooking every ones meals and one in dining room and restrooms cleaning. I think that most people would be pleased if they had one person on drive thru 2 on the making station. The manager at the college ave store was doing more then he had to do. A manager shift manage should be looking at food quality and freshness that goes out to the customers. If food been there for a while and getting hard as a rock then should be tossed and made some fresh stuff. Id rather wait on fresh food like others would then serve CRAP. There is no excuse for hard cold food going out to your customers. They are the ones come to your store to have a great experience not have to put up with old and cold food. Thats were most of the complaints come from. They need to apologize for the wait and not make excuses up. Honesty goes along way. This will ensure your customers to come back to your establishment. All it takes to is word of mouth not to go to taco bell west college ave. And you loose revenue and loose your great customers. It is all about GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I also know that when they answer drive thru they say HOW ARE YOU TODAY. They never read your order back, they always say is everything on the screen right. What happens when the screen is down. Went to get lunch yesterday at the West College Avenue location. Got up to the door and some random guy carrying out a box of mail puts his foot in the door and asks if I have a problem with one of his employees. I said no and he let me in. (I should have left at that point and called corporate) Anyway, he took it upon himself to stop what he was doing and take my order himself. Fine. So I ordered a #9 with a soft taco. He handed me my cup and it was at that point that I asked politely for his name because of the fact that he was not wearing a name tag at all. He asked why, I told him because I wanted to lodge a complaint with corporate. He replied, "I'll take your receipt" (Thinking that he would write his name on the receipt) He then punched some numbers into the register amd gave me $6.60 of my money back...poited to the door and told me to have a nice day. I didn't argue with him and I exited the building. On my way out the first door he said "I ain't gonna have anyone coming in here f#@$*ng threatening two of my employees!" So I went back in and asked him who I threatened or what I was supposed to of had said. He simply replied to have a nice day and pointed to the door again. People of yelp, In the 40 years that I have been alive and the THOUSANDS of places that I have visited, NEVER EVER have I been treated with so much disrespectful behavior in ANY establishment! The managers decision to engage in a personal dispute has led to a bad review. His decision to uphold an employee with sex offences on his record has proven that the customer is NOT always right and that the employee in the back of the store has the upper hand. I think I better check if there is silverware in there.hmm none so I ask can you give me some silverware and napkin please can't eat the veggie bowl without that. Wouldn't even leave 1 Star if I could. I placed a mobile order on the Taco Bell app for "easier and faster" service. Got a text 6 minutes later that my order was ready. Arrived at the store and asked if I needed to check in for a mobile order (even though I've never had to before). Girl asked if the order was for "my name" and when I confirmed she said it would be a little while yet because there were orders ahead of me. Uhm, why did I get a text then? So I waited and waited and waited as people who ordered after I got to the store got their food. I asked again about my order and the girl walked away. Responded minutes later that it would be out shortly. By this point it was 30 minutes since I placed the order so I asked for a refund. Manager (from another store) said she can't refund money because I placed the order on the mobile app. She also told me she was from another store training new people. Well some of the "new" people have been at this store a while. After some discussion, I realized my lunch hour was practically wasted dealing with this so I went to my car and looked at the app. Nowhere on there is there a place to get a refund. Went back in and showed the manager my app. She decided to look at her app to see where I can get a refund. No dice...like I had already told her. She said the app says to refer me to customer service and then she says they don't even have a customer service. WTH? She then calls her manager. After another 5 or so minutes, one of the "new" people came to the counter and offered me free lunch the rest of the week. I demanded a refund and he was able to give me one. So basically, I wasted my entire lunch hour getting a refund for food that was supposedly ready. Utterly ridiculous. Taco Bell will not longer be getting my business. Oh, and the drive thru at this location is closed pretty regularly. I just don't get it at all. read more
