I went to this Taco Bell recently after sort of running out of other options and having ridden my motorcycle up and down US441 a couple of times trying to decide on where to eat one afternoon. My original plan was to go to a local fish and chip shop downtown, but unfortunately they have closed (hopefully will be reopening at a different location with better draw). Sadly nothing else was reaching out to me in the greater Alachua area, so eventually I just went to this Taco Bell and got my usual there... a Burrito Supreme combo which comes with a drink and a Taco Supreme. I can't fault the service or the food. It is what you would expect from any Taco Bell, which is exactly what you want. My rating of three stars stems from that. No better or worse than any other Taco Bell, the food was at their standard, and I did not experience anything bad or good with the staff. The place was as tidy as I have come to expect of a fast food restaurant shortly after the lunch rush. read more

Safety is important! Alachua, FL - It is Taco Bell... and it can still get messed up. Assault by pedestrian at Taco Bell Drive-thru. The Drive-thru has no security camera, BE AWARE OF SURROUNDING. Watch your surroundings as you order in the Alachua, Taco Bell. I was assaulted by an angry pedestrian as I was placing my order in the Drive-thru. The angry white male (30-40) pedestrian accused me of driving past him too fast as he crossed the street to the entrance of Taco Bell. He went further to yell at me and came up to my car while I ordered and broke my driver side view mirror. The Cops came and a report was filled. The Taco Bell employee that heard the whole thing via the intercom spoke to the Alachua cop and told them what they heard, but did not help or get involved. Because there was no visual evidence on camera or I-witness, I had to endure the damage and the harassment. It turned out to be a $500 lost lunchtime without even eating lunch. Avoid this Taco Bell if at all possible. I had terrible drive through and food experience. Drive away now. If you're bored then read on. It started out good. I heard a bright cheery voice over the intercom that was actually clearly audible. A cute young lady asked very courteously "Welcome to Taco Bell, please let me know when you're ready to order." That - sadly - was the only thing that went well. At least they got the first impression correct. I ordered the 5 for 5. The total was $5.33. Sounded square to me. It's 5:17. I've got three cars with solo drivers in front of me. I've got a 6:00 appointment ten minutes down the road. The ONLY reason I'll do fast food is because of a time crunch. 5:23. Car #1 gets their order. Victory. I've got some argumentative talk radio in the back ground along with some quick Yelp updates on the mobile phone. Not too perturbed by the wait. 5:30. Car #2 gets their order. Really? Seven minutes for a single order and a medium drink? I might not mke my 6:00 at this rate but WTF. I'll leave if I need to. 5:36 . Car #3 gets their order. I see words exchanged between car #3 and the cashier. Car #3 wasn't very kind. While I couldn't make everything out, they were very curt and terse with their tone towards the attendant at the drive through. I pull in and the poor, frustrated drive through attendant took my money, handed me my drink and proceeded to take another order over the intercom that actually sounded good. I finally got my order at 5:45. I sat in the drive through for nearly a half an hour. Not acceptable. I received two types of tacos which were acceptable, albeit both were broken (hard shells) when I opened them. The quesadilla was squeezed so flat in it's foil wrap that all of it's contents fell outside of the tortilla. The contents had fallen out and it was nearly impossible to eat. The worst was the burrito. It was advertised as the beefy Fritos burrito on the sign but it didn't resemble it at all. I was given a bean and rice burrito with rice that was only semi cooked. It wasn't edible and had a strange soapy taste. Obviously totally inedible. If I wasn't in a rush and had a 6:00 appt I would have gone back to the store and took issue with the manager on duty. Nothing more fun than driving and eating - er - discovering what's edible and not whilst negotiating the freeway. The only thing "right" about the food order was my soft drink. It's hard to mess that up right? I read other Yelp reviews before pulling in here. Overall the reviews were poor. I stopped here knowing that it is easy to bash a fast food chain in a review. I call it a classic "hit and run". As Dale Carnegie said, "Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain - and most fools do." I really didn't believe that an establishment could rate that low and it deserved a break. As always, trust in Yelp - I should have stayed away. This is the third time I did not get a complete order from this Taco Bell. Checking your order is very important at this Taco Bell and holding the individual responsible is very important. I've been to this location multiple times and I can't say I've had any problems in terms of the quality of the food I've ordered. Only thing I didn't like was 1) when you go through the drive through they come on the speaker and ask how you're doing then silence. Why not just welcome me and tell me to order when I'm ready. Once day I'm going to just tell them all about my day. 2) the first time I went through I ordered off the happy hour menu and was told they didn't do the happy hour menu although The signage was on the board. Hands down THE WORST Taco Bell probably in the country. In the past probably 10 years that I've been going to this location, not ONCE have they gotten an order right. Something is always either wrong, missing, or just plain inedible. As far as service, I haven't had too many issues with staff or customer service. However if you choose to go to this location, you just go in knowing that they're going to mess something up. My last straw was when I got several different things for my daughter and nephew, as well as my sister and I. I got chicken and rice burritos (the rice wasn't done, crunchy and inedible), bean burritos (not rolled into burritos), a chicken quesadilla and a cheese quesadilla. Well, my nephew couldn't eat the chicken quesadilla because it was spicy, and my daughter couldn't eat her cheese quesadilla because it was actually also a chicken quesadilla, which was spicy and entirely inedible for my 1 year old. I don't normally review fast food chains, but this Taco Bell was one of the worst of the worst I have ever been in. I stopped in today because I was moving to Fort Lauderdale and not only had 2 cats in the car, had a bike on the rack and tons of valuable stuff in my car. I needed to get out of the car and stretch though so I thought going inside would be a good idea. I walked in and immediately an employee said "Oh someone will be with you in a minute!" I waited around for 5 minutes and she just stood there with both of the registers closed and when another employee came up to her she asked the other employee to take her earring off because it was stuck in her ear. The two then spent 5 minutes trying to get the earring off right in front of the cash register, blatantly ignoring me. I'm sorry, but the last thing I want to see at the place I'm getting food from is somebody getting their nasty ear cheese all over my already disgusting food. It took another 5 minutes for the girl who was attempting to get the earring off of the other's ear to ask me what I wanted to order because she couldn't figure out how to open the cash register and the girl in the kitchen kept saying "Oh yeah maybe I should teach you how to do that". I ordered and paid and stood around and a huge line formed and whenever someone new would come in a lady in the kitchen would just yell "SAVANNAH!" to try to get the cashier girl's attention and it would take her forever to come out and get their orders. People kept coming in from the drive thru with wrong orders. Oh and one guy was waiting for his food longer than I was, which speaks volumes about the service considering there were at least 7 people working in the kitchen. Tried to have lunch in here last week with the husband. Waited over 5 minutes for the clearly bored cashier to finally acknowledge us and take our order. Dining room was disgusting with all dirty tables. We literally cleaned off our own table. Food took more than 20 minutes and basically all we saw was the staff in the kitchen fooling around and chit chatting. Will not be back and won't recommend to anyone. Ok this place is like 10-15 mins away from the springs and all I wanted was some food, all I had was my one piece extremely MODEST bathing suit on and sandals because might I add it's SUMMER and this is in FLORIDA. I've never encountered a problem at this Taco Bell location in Alachua. The staff is always friendly and they go out of their way to make sure my order is right. For one dollar the spicy tostada (get guacamole added on) is one of the tastiest items on Taco Bell menu. The vegetarian power bowl is equal if not better than Chipotle. read more

Do not go here after hours. Sign and lights say open. But if its after midnight they refuse to acknowledge you. Supposedly open til 1am, but only in appearance. I work til midnight and live 2min away and used to have a 50/50 chance of being helped. Now its zero. Sat in front of drive thru menu last night, still lit up, asking if anyone was there. I've had this happen before at this specific Taco Bell but thought it may have been because of the time of night. I ordered the three dorito taco combo supreme and they added extra cheese and a couple tomatoes so I thought they just were in a rush. I normally do not write negative reviews given my job status in customer service. However, my boyfriend is a vegetarian and is not able to eat meat. I do not know how much more clear I have to be especially living in a town where Krishna Religion and the vegetarian lifestyle is more pronounced than any other town I've visited. Tonight, my friend driving asked the night manager to please check the burrito to make sure it was vegetarian. The manager told him if he wants to check it, he can pull up and check it himself. First off, since this Taco Bell makes so many mistakes (especially the night shift) you have 0 right to tell the customer to do that. But in any case, you should never tell the customer to check their own food. I should have heard an "of course sir". Naturally we get home and it was a beef burrito and it was even written on the packaging "vegetarian" to remind the workers to put in beans. I went back and spoke with the night manager who I have spoken with before. They made another burrito, which they ended up putting-U guessed it- BEEF. This is absolutely ridiculous.
