Poor service and you are given smaller containers for queso regularly. Ordered a 16 oz queso yesterday. Weighed at home at 10.5 oz.

The food was okay. The service was lack luster. The employees need retraining on customer service skill set. The employee seemed more concerned about trivial ghettos conversations versus giving great customer service. I honestly don't know how they're still open. read more

A local dive that I've been eating at most my life. Yes, the drive thru isn't the greatest, but they all can't be Chick-Fil-La! LOVE their Bandido Salad, 6 Layer Dip, the New White Queso Super Burrito and some of the best sweet tea in town! There isn't much on the menu that isn't good. Im not a Margarita fan, but they are known for their frozen margaritas called the "Grownup Green Icee". It's a Monroe must have for folks returning home for visits. This place gets two stars, only because there's a drive thru and it's a step above Taco Bell. Nothing special, mediocre psuedo Mexican food. I'm not sure what I'd recommend because every thing I've had there has just been "meh". The queso is pretty alright. Quesadilla was not good, taco salad was not impressive. Taco Bandido- You know bandidos is a derivative of bandit, which is essentially an outlaw. The name says it all. People either love or hate Taco Bandido. They are the fast food stepchild in the Monroe taco scene. If your trying to picture Taco Bandido, picture a place that lots of college kids go to eat mediocre food and get even less satisfying service. It is not fast, by any means, and this is not the kind of place that they kill you with kindness or even make you feel welcome. Its mostly clean if you don't count the smeared food on the tables. BUT! It has a comforting vibe to it. You know just what you will get here and it is consistent. The food is the type that you can't understand why you keep eating it. Don't go in here expecting gourmet or Taco Bell. Just try it for the experience. Its fun, edgy, and it will be something to remember. Besides "Taco Bandido" is just fun to say, and you can be one of the people "in the know" in the Monroe cuisine circles. read more

I'll never tire of this place. Everytime I'm home, I eat here. It's comfort food. I have my own little both overlooking Forsythe Avenue. In high school, my boyfriend and I would snuggle up in the both and make goo goo eyes at each other. My current fiance loves this place too, and we frequently talk about how we wish there were a location where we live now. Get yourself a margarita in a Go-Cup. It's the Louisiana thing to do. I ate from Taco Bandido on Forsythe Ave in Monroe LA on 6/23/20 and it wasn't 5 minutes after I finished eating that I became sick as a dog. I went from vomiting to diarrhea in an instance. Service was the best thing about this place and it's only one star. It was our first time here and the woman behind the counter explained things to my husband, so I had high hopes. We tried a few different things: bean burrito, soft taco, zesty cheese enchilada, and beef nachos. The soft taco was more cheese than beef and all at one end. I couldn't even swallow the bean burrito. The nachos taste like a bag of tortilla chips from the store and the cheese is boring. There is no flavor on anything. We will not be back. My go to place when funds are low. Great food for the price - the Bandito Salad can not be beaten. They won't let you take the green icees home anymore - that is the only negative. It can get a little crowded at lunchtime. read more

It looks like your average mexican restaurant and taco joint. I actually believe that Taco Bell is a better alternative to this place. The place looks pretty cheap. Okay, so that's not the center of your dining experience, but the food is. The pictures seemed to exaggerate a little and the beef was worse than Taco Bell's, and the nachos didn't not have a decent nacho cheese, it was very bland. The worst drive up service I have ever had! 2 weeks ago I placed my order, the voice machine wasn't working, so I drove to the window. I could not understand a word of what the drive up employee was saying. She really didn't care what my order was. Same thing again tonight, the employee really couldn't speak English enough to understand what was going on. I don't understand why an establishment who probably makes their living from the drive-up service would have an employee who really can't talk and really doesn't care to talk or take care of their customers at their money making window! The food here is good, cheap, and fast! However, they have the worst customer service in town by far. This is why i refuse to go back. It's not just one time either, is every time! During the day is not bad, but during the evening is horrid! If your white, don't even bother. I literally sat in line while the workers ignored me and took orders around me for ten minutes. I was the only Caucasian in the store at time. Another time, they messed up my wife's order and told me it was our fault, because she didn't speak loudly enough. I would not eat at this restaurant again. I went through the drive thru and ordered over 50 dollars worth of food and as I pulled out of the drive thru my wife looked to see if al of the food was in the bag. As usual 3 items were not in the bag. I went inside and told them that I was short some items and the rude young lady that was working the drive thru window stated I need to bring the bag in. I told her no and to just give me the items they shorted me. I asked for the manager and the manager asked about the items that were missing and the rude young lady said that she did not put the items in the bag. One of the items that was missing was a bag of chips for the Guacamole and the rude young lady emptied out about half of the bag and I asked her why. She stated you only get half a bag of chips with the Guacamole and I told her I paid 4 dollars for a small container of Guacamole and a half bag of chips. She stated that is just the way it is. They always short you on the food and the whole African American crew is very rude. Good non-chain Mexican drive-through with margaritas!

This place is horrible to me. I have experienced that they have recently had rats (mice) inside of the resturant. I have seen them patching up holes to trap them inside. So i believe there are dead rats inside of the walls. The place is disqusting with roaches. I have also seen a dead roach inside a customer food. The customer returned it to them and walked out. This resturant needs rebuilding. The service seems to have bad days at times but they are friendly. This place doesnt need a rating it below the scale. It is dirty, the food is bad, and looks very cheap. read more
