Highly recommend getting a Korean style perm from this place! I was amazed at the results. Here, they do a digital perm and it definitely does its wonders. I had my hair permed before at a different place, and Tac Salon definitely did better! My hair is more wavy and it feels nice. The service was good. The workers are professional and they focus on what you want in your hair style. My perm took about 2.5 to 3 hours to complete. The price of it was $105 which is a pretty good deal. Wish I never came. I had heard good things, that the male owner cuts well. But he doesn't speak English well and my requests wasn't met. I wanted soft long layers with texturing- no thinning. I have a specific style and I moved from California and had tried a few hair salons here in Washington and they haven't quite got it right. So sad that the master stylist here, Thai, has moved to California and left this establishment to his apprentice, Cuong. Despite his best efforts, I don't think the salon still maintain their usual quality standards. Not very often the hair stylist would ask you so often what to do while cutting your hair... I meant I gave him a picture, and asked him to just keep the exact cut that master Thai had given me few months ago, he still didn't follow... hair color was alright. But they almost forgot about me at the end when the group of Vietnamese guys come in and seemed to know the new owner. They started chatting, he started to get distracted WHILE CURLING MY HAIR WITH HOT IRON. I was scared that I could get burned It was slightly a little more expensive than before, especially when I only had a color touch up and cut, but they charged me the same as full color. I went here three times and the first two times I came here, there was no available Nail Technician. That is fine because I saw that they have just opened. Only reason why I came here is because my husband goes to the gym within the same commercial strip. The good thing: Plenty of parking space. Spacious place. The bad thing: I asked for a pedicure and foot spa and I didn't feel like they did a lot with the pedicure and especially the foot spa scrubbing. Pretty lame work. I'm used to getting these services done here and when I'm traveling outside the country but I have to say, this is one of the places/services I got disappointed. The signs were there, went there twice and on the third try I did get a service but was a real bummer. They only accept cash payment by the way. Oh well. Won't probably go back here for a few years and let them just learn first on how to improve their service quality. read more

I unfortunately had one of the worst hair cuts I've ever had here. I could tell in the first 5 minutes of my hair cut that I was going to have to really guide the hair stylist, even though I had shown him pictures of a previous hair cut that depicted what I was looking for, and my desired hair cut is as simple as it gets. However, this didn't help. Multiple times I had to tell the stylist that my hair was too long and more need to come off, and even showed him with my hands how much I was looking for. There ended up being multiple areas of unevenness, and I may need to go to another hair salon to try and fix what I can. read more

I got the Japanese thermal hair straightening treatment here, it took 6 hours. The stylist was extremely careful and patient, and I was very happy with how it turned out. I paid $230 before tip, which is much lower than other salons in the greater Seattle area. The stylist also gave me a head massage during hair washings, which was a pleasant surprise. He also gave me a trim and clearly takes great pride in his work. It's out of my way since I live in downtown Seattle, but well worth the trip. read more

My experience was excellent! My hair came out absolutely beautiful and better than what I imagined. It was a 6 hour process but in the end it was all worth it, everyone was so nice. I was offered a drink and I was well taken care of. I fell asleep while getting my hair washed, it was that good. The owner of this establishment is extremely unprofessional. He didn't think I was Vietnamese and literally talked smack about me in front of my face because I wanted to fix my hair. Asked for a blunt cut and they gave me an asymmetrical haircut instead. When I replied in Vietnamese he wants to put up an act and be friendly all of a sudden. Please learn how to manage a business with mannerism and respect. Taking my money elsewhere and no longer supporting this establishment.
