An amazing Tea Party experience with Table for 6. Table for 6 is a home kitchen operation serving wonderful food in an intimate and beautiful outdoor setting. First experience, my friend and I were quickly greeted and seated - no detail was spared with the setting, menu, napkin holders, teacups and teapot cozies. Chef/owner, Christina introduced herself, the food and each item as they were brought to the table. :: Freshly made sourdough with house made loquat jam - wow the bread itself was buttery and really didn't need any accompaniments. Crunchy exterior, soft and pillowy. The spicy jam was so yummy and bought some after the event! :: Charcuterie for 2! It was plenty to be shared by 4 but won't complain. Dates, homemade crackers: sourdough and seeded, prosciutto, salami, marconi almonds, Marin cheeses and housemade bread and butter pickles, pickled garlic and onions. So good! :: Savory sandwiches: Japanese-style egg salad (some soft-boiled egg), Green goddess, and a monte christo with accompanying house-made strawberry jam. Simple but all nicely prepared and delicious! :: Sweets: so many to list (see pics) - all beautifully presented, not overly sweet and plentiful! Yummy This is the first tea party where I didn't leave hungry! And you'll have leftovers as everything was so filling and satisfying. I should've paced myself with the charcuterie! Event duration: 2 - 2.5 hours, 11-130pm Setup: 2 tables of 6 so unless you have 6 people you will be sitting with 4 strangers but will make conversation quick as the commonality is food! If you're an introvert you may want to invite friends/family to fill a table. :) With perfect weather, good food in a beautiful setting you won't be disappointed. Had an amazing experience with Christina and Table for 6. Her communication was seamless and the whole meal was delicious and you can tell was made with love. The outdoor dining was peaceful and the table was beautifully decorated. Her husband was helping during our reservation and the pair were so warm and welcoming. There were 4 courses so carefully curated to accommodate both meat eaters and vegetarians. She had veg corned beef and veg chicken and waffles made when I thought she was only going to be able to make one of the courses veg. I have never been so full and so well taken care of at a catered event. We absolutely loved this experience! read more

This is my second time here. I was lucky enough to get into the Blue Crab Brunch. Let me tell you it was a feast!! So much delicious food. The host is very generous with portions. The provide take away boxes so you can take leftovers home. We were educated on blue crab and how to crack them. The food just kept coming and each dish was so good. The seating is outdoors. When I came for tea, she had 2 tables of 6. This time it was a large table of 8. It made it easy to talk to everyone. This is done out of her home. She is licensed and the venue is in her front yard. It is fenced so you don't feel exposed. The yard is well kept and you just feel like you're in a small garden having a fabulous picnic. You can't ask for a more friendly host. Plenty of street parking. Highly recommend. Wish I could keep this place my little secret, but want her to succeed. :) read more

My sister had the chance to attend the Table for 6 launch party and enjoyed sampling Christina's creations. This past weekend my mom, sister and I sat down for a brunch service which was a memorable and delicious experience! Table for 6 allows you to curate your own brunch menu and we went with chicken and waffles, steak and eggs, and corned beef hash for our entrees. You're greeted by Christina who opens up her home for diners in a warm, welcoming, and cozy environment. When weather permits, she has a spacious outdoor dining option. We started off with refreshing tea-based mocktails and a charcuterie board filled to the brim with cheese, crackers, meat, nuts, homemade pickles, and other bites and spreads. She even showcases treats from local vendors such as Gilroy's garlic chips! Be sure to save room for your entree! All of our dishes came in generous portions, were tailored to our taste preferences, and made fresh to order. The cornmeal waffles with Korean inspired fried chicken were a standout, and my family enjoyed their corned beef hash with poached eggs as well as the steak and eggs with flavorful chimichurri sauces on the side. Christina also brought out a basket of breads with a sweet potato biscuit and her specialty sourdough. The biscuit came with cinnamon butter which one of the best bites of the entire brunch! It was sweet and savory which is one of my favorite flavor combos. The cinnamon butter is crave-worthy! Lastly, the dessert platter capped off a delicious afternoon. Christina used to work at CakeLove bakery in Washington, DC and her baked goods are not to be missed. The apple cider donuts were mini but packed a mighty flavor punch, as well as the pumpkin muffins. She provided a non-dairy cream cheese spread to go with the donuts and muffins--yum! The basque cheesecake was baked perfectly and served as the centerpiece of the platter. There was also a creme brulee inspired puff pastry which was my family's favorite. Overall, come hungry to Table for 6! It is a unique dining experience in a lovely environment with a fantastic host who truly loves cooking and entertaining. This new micro restaurant in San Mateo is the best place in town for ambience and food! My daughter and I both loved the atmosphere outside -- gorgeous setting surrounded by plants and a cozy tea party setting at the table. All of the food was delicious! My favorite was the Brioche French Toast and I also loved the egg salad croissants with microgreens (but forgot to get a photo!). Christina made us feel very welcomed. She pointed out which dishes were vegetarian and was a very gracious host in addition to being a talented chef. read more

Christina and her husband, Jeremy, welcomed us into their peaceful outdoor space with warmth and genuine hospitality that made us feel right at home. My friends and I were lucky enough to enjoy their private Blue Crab Lunch Special, and it was nothing short of spectacular. We began with a rich, creamy crab chowder, paired with homemade sourdough, biscuits, and an assortment of delicious jams and jellies. A fun and unexpected highlight was learning how to pick crabs with Jeremy--he made it engaging and approachable! From there, the feast rolled out dish after dish: oyster shots, crab cakes, soft-shell crab, hush puppies, collard greens, homemade bacon, coleslaw, corn, and cornbread. What truly stood out was that the majority of the dishes were unique twists or creations we'd never tasted before--a refreshing and exciting change from typical menus. Every bite was thoughtful, flavorful, and made with care. And then came dessert: FIVE incredible sweets--Baltimore Berger cookie pie, Smith Island cake, Virginia peanut pie, fried bread pudding, and cherry crumble bars. Yes, you get full servings of everything! Come very hungry--you will absolutely leave with leftovers, a happy heart, and probably the need for a nap. Beautiful décor on the table, the food was amazing, there was different selection of food my six year old in case she didn't like the other types of food (which was super sweet and not even asked for!!!!!) and a super yummy birthday cake. This was just a fantastic experience. Not just fine dining but great atmosphere as well. Our daughter-in-law's father treated us to this wonderfull experience. It was a nice afternoon that our families could enjoy conversation and fantastic food. The charcutier decadnet was abundant with a large assortment of meats, cheeses and pickles as well as fresh made bread and muffins. Then came the main course, generous portions of corn beef, chicken and waffles, etc. The desserts were also varied and generous.
