    Table for 8. :)

This is my second time here. I was lucky enough to get into the Blue Crab Brunch. Let me tell you it was a feast!! So much delicious food. The host is very generous with portions. The provide take away boxes so you can take leftovers home. We were educated on blue crab and how to crack them. The food just kept coming and each dish was so good. The seating is outdoors. When I came for tea, she had 2 tables of 6. This time it was a large table of 8. It made it easy to talk to everyone. This is done out of her home. She is licensed and the venue is in her front yard. It is fenced so you don't feel exposed. The yard is well kept and you just feel like you're in a small garden having a fabulous picnic. You can't ask for a more friendly host. Plenty of street parking. Highly recommend. Wish I could keep this place my little secret, but want her to succeed. :)

My sister had the chance to attend the Table for 6 launch party and enjoyed sampling Christina's creations. This past weekend my mom, sister and I sat down for a brunch service which was a memorable and delicious experience! Table for 6 allows you to curate your own brunch menu and we went with chicken and waffles, steak and eggs, and corned beef hash for our entrees. You're greeted by Christina who opens up her home for diners in a warm, welcoming, and cozy environment. When weather permits, she has a spacious outdoor dining option. We started off with refreshing tea-based mocktails and a charcuterie board filled to the brim with cheese, crackers, meat, nuts, homemade pickles, and other bites and spreads. She even showcases treats from local vendors such as Gilroy's garlic chips! Be sure to save room for your entree! All of our dishes came in generous portions, were tailored to our taste preferences, and made fresh to order. The cornmeal waffles with Korean inspired fried chicken were a standout, and my family enjoyed their corned beef hash with poached eggs as well as the steak and eggs with flavorful chimichurri sauces on the side. Christina also brought out a basket of breads with a sweet potato biscuit and her specialty sourdough. The biscuit came with cinnamon butter which one of the best bites of the entire brunch! It was sweet and savory which is one of my favorite flavor combos. The cinnamon butter is crave-worthy! Lastly, the dessert platter capped off a delicious afternoon. Christina used to work at CakeLove bakery in Washington, DC and her baked goods are not to be missed. The apple cider donuts were mini but packed a mighty flavor punch, as well as the pumpkin muffins. She provided a non-dairy cream cheese spread to go with the donuts and muffins--yum! The basque cheesecake was baked perfectly and served as the centerpiece of the platter. There was also a creme brulee inspired puff pastry which was my family's favorite. Overall, come hungry to Table for 6! It is a unique dining experience in a lovely environment with a fantastic host who truly loves cooking and entertaining. We plan to come back for an Afternoon Tea service. Thank you, Christina!

This new micro restaurant in San Mateo is the best place in town for ambience and food! My daughter and I both loved the atmosphere outside -- gorgeous setting surrounded by plants and a cozy tea party setting at the table. All of the food was delicious! My favorite was the Brioche French Toast and I also loved the egg salad croissants with microgreens (but forgot to get a photo!). Christina made us feel very welcomed. She pointed out which dishes were vegetarian and was a very gracious host in addition to being a talented chef.

A Must-Try, One-of-a-Kind Experience! Table For 6 is truly a hidden gem and an unforgettable culinary experience. Christina and her husband, Jeremy, welcomed us into their peaceful outdoor space with warmth and genuine hospitality that made us feel right at home. My friends and I were lucky enough to enjoy their private Blue Crab Lunch Special, and it was nothing short of spectacular. We began with a rich, creamy crab chowder, paired with homemade sourdough, biscuits, and an assortment of delicious jams and jellies. A fun and unexpected highlight was learning how to pick crabs with Jeremy--he made it engaging and approachable! From there, the feast rolled out dish after dish: oyster shots, crab cakes, soft-shell crab, hush puppies, collard greens, homemade bacon, coleslaw, corn, and cornbread. What truly stood out was that the majority of the dishes were unique twists or creations we'd never tasted before--a refreshing and exciting change from typical menus. Every bite was thoughtful, flavorful, and made with care. And then came dessert: FIVE incredible sweets--Baltimore Berger cookie pie, Smith Island cake, Virginia peanut pie, fried bread pudding, and cherry crumble bars. Yes, you get full servings of everything! Come very hungry--you will absolutely leave with leftovers, a happy heart, and probably the need for a nap. Most of all, we appreciated the chance to unwind, catch up, and enjoy the company of such kind and passionate hosts. Christina and Jeremy are a true delight, and their love for food and hospitality shines through every detail. This is a must-try experience you won't find anywhere else. Already looking forward to coming back!

We had a wonderful time at Table for 6. Christina and her helper were friendly, courteous and so kind. The food was excellent . . . the charcuterie, the main entrees (corned beef hash and salmon with vegetables), a variety of freshly baked delicous desserts, and the spectacular bread, with plenty leftovers to enjoy the next day, all served in such an inviting atmosphere (inside or outside). You will not be sorry to try Table for 6.

What is the cost of a tea party for 6?

Tea Party is $85/person (as of 6/2025) not including tax/tip. Unless of course you do a custom menu then pricing can change. It was a unique experience :)

Sara is the best. She was so awesome. It was our first time, so she gave us a bunch of recommendations and let us sample a couple of the teas. Everything sounded, looked, and smelled so amazing. The vibe of this place is the best. It really does feel like a bar, but with just a bunch of really cool teas and food options. I ordered a Matcha with the banana foam, and it was delicious. I need to come back and try the jasmine green tea since it's my favorite, but yesterday I just had Matcha on my mind. I will also have to come back and try the açai bowls! There is one on the menu that had peanut butter and other awesome stuff on it, and I will definitely be back to get it. There's metered parking outside, and since it is a very popular area, there's a lot of parking options around. Definitely no shortage of parking thankfully. This is such a high recommendation, if you're in the area and are looking for someplace to hang out, grab a great drink, and relax, this is it!

It's located in like an industrial / commercial building area .. I heard about this place from Reddit and a friend who ordered online. I saw on Google they had an in person store so just went in, walked into the warehouse door and was bamboozled lol. I was kindly directed to the customer door and was greeted by a kind gentlemen The shop is cute has a display of different types of matcha utensils. They are a family business from Japan that's been around for 100 years ! The kind man helped me with picking out a matcha and he asked questions what i was looking to use it for (lattes) and my price range and recommended me a few options. I also was able to ask questions. He was very helpful. He suggested the ceremonial matcha uji, said it was good for lattes and just sipping the matcha on its own. I don't do this a lot because it tastes too earthy for me but he assured me it's a nice blend. He was not wrong I enjoyed it in my latte and it wasn't bad to sip on its own as well. Lol after visiting they popped up on my tiktok fyp, lots of videos and resources about matcha! And baking with it. They also sell so many other loose leaf teas ! I had no idea ! The guy who helped me is on their TikTok's! Dens tea is also the same company that sell the matcha shaker for matcha on the go! (Super popular on TikTok rn) If I knew I would have gotten one lol. Will definitely be back! And I recommend for you to try too the in person store if you are local!

I got there close to 6pm and everyone was so nice. The lady that took my order was friendly and welcoming. I got their Mango Sticky Matcha. It was pretty interesting. Loved that it has a rich matcha flavor and mango sticky flavor didn't overpower the drink. If anything, it complimented well with the matcha. I love it and would absolutely order it again. Unfortunately, they didn't have any pastries left other than a couple bagels. I wanted to try their croissants but maybe next time when I'm in the area again. The place is super clean and organized. They have a wifi, an outlet, a couple tables for single or multiple customers as well as comfy couches. The restroom was also clean and smells great. Highly recommend this place. Not only was I able to complete so many tasks but was also able to just relax. Loved the vibe here!

"Too expensive for a takoyaki you can make at home." Is what I like to call this shop…read more To begin, I want to aknowledge the man working the entire place. He helped the customers with an enthusiastic spark, while preparing the food and working at the cashier counter--which takes a lot of effort to do. He is a hard worker, and I hope he gets paid well. I would also encourage for the staff, first and foremost--improve quality of the food. As mentioned on the top of this review, the takoyaki I ordered didn't have any striking qualities. But of course, I am not a professional takoyaki critic. Hence, I am only explaining the taste with my own personal experiance of tasting takoyaki. The takoyaki has a sweet tangy sauce, the exterior was very soft, and the squid was quite small, not fulfilling. Tried the mango smoothie, it was mushy and not as cold. Unfortunately, that wasn't of my interest either. If you are into pineapples juice with seeds and mushy texture like a slushie, you may like it better than me. My second critique is that the food took a long time to be made. Though I can respect minor inconveniences, I also hope that the cafe takes the idea of fixing this issue. Though I will admit, the cafe is decorated quite well. What I love is the vibe of the atmosphere, which is a mix of art deco and a soft pastel boba shop--which is a unique style compared to other boba shops I've seen. I LOVE the geometrical patterns and decorations and the overall concept. Feels so cozy inside, with plushies on the seats and the fun chairs and tables. My uncle made a joke about wanting to buy that long skinny table for his home. It was so disappointing to see a cafe with excellent potential in cafe design, but lacking in the actual resources of improving. Thank you Nara Boba Tea, for the experiance.

Tea is supposed to slow you down, not make you feel like you're quietly melting while choosing a gift. There was also a little too much nudging toward flavors I had already said I wasn't interested in, but nothing offensive. More enthusiastic than annoying. Overall, this is a solid place with real charm. Fix the temperature, ease off the upsell a touch and it becomes much easier to recommend without an asterisk.
