Just ate here due to all the great reviews. We showed up with 2 kids under 5 and a stroller. There are a few steps to get to dining room. Got the oxtail and LA redfish (it was seabass tonight) and food was good. There was a bit of uneven salting on the brussels sprouts but not the end of the world. The sticky toffee dessert was good (really sweet but that's the way it is). Overall would have given them 4 stars for food - solid but not memorable. Or so I thought. I'll remember this meal for the rest of my life. Since my partner had been driving all day, I offered to drive home and he could try a bourbon - we're from Canada - so he went off with the bartender/waitress and got a "really special" one to try. Then the bill arrives. It was $150US for that shot!! My partner didn't ask and apparently the bartender didn't think to mention it. I get that he should have asked, but I would hope that a responsible server would mention that the drink was going to cost more than a night in a hotel. We showed up with 2 kids and a stroller. Stayed at the hotel it's very nice, I got a free appetizer card cause I had some room issues. They brought me a free app card for Table 28. I was kinda excited the food did look good. I went down there to eat there was no bar seats only free seating behind bar which is fine. I went to bar to order and the bartender looked at my card and talked to me as if I was trying to scam them. The demeanor was very off putting I decided to not stay and eat. There was a lady who at the same table who didn't get service for an extended time. The staff didn't seem inviting or like they wanted you there. My app was not good, octopus was tiny about 2 bites, it was soggy and not even warm, yes it was free from the hotel but after my experience there, and the food I wouldn't come back. read more

My husband and I have stayed at The Burgundy Hotel many times and have had numerous intentions of eating at Table 28 while we were there. Finally, during a work trip to Little Rock, we got our chance. We dragged 4 other people with us and SPOILER ALERT every single one of us loved this place! I love eating in a group as we all share appetizers and get to try small bites of a multitude of things. This go round we sampled the Bahm Mi meatballs, purple hull pea cakes and the southern charcuterie. First, the meatballs: they weren't overly Asian but they were very good. Served with a creamy sriracha that was barely spicy (a plus in my book), I thought it was a great compliment. The pea cakes, however, were AMAZING. This was my first go with these, and I could've eaten the whole appetizer by myself! They were mushier than expected (I assumed they'd be toasty) but I loved them anyway! They didn't have an overwhelming pea flavor at all, so even if you don't like peas, try these anyway. Served with a creamy dill sauce (yum!) and a carrot hummus (also yum!) - a perfect bite! As for the charcuterie, it's always a blast to share with friends. This one was southern style, with smoked bologna, soft spreadable cheese, hard cheese, a creamy "ranch" type dip (but not ranch), duck, pickled veggies, tomato jelly. Super fun, interactive and full of flavor. As for entrees, I went with the Purple Rice Risotto served with carrot, mushroom, brussels and a grilled parmesan cheese "chip". Holy smokes! First of all, it was a beautiful dish. But the flavor of this was out of this world delicious. It was creamy, robust yet comforting. It made me so happy to eat it. All of it paired together so well. Hubby got the duck breast, which he truly enjoyed. I'm not a fan of duck but I snuck a bite out of curiosity and it was pretty dang good! This was served with heirloom grits - and I'm a big grits fan, so I loved them very much. We somehow saved room for dessert. We split the chocolate chiffon cake and the sticky toffee cake. Out of the two, the sticky toffee cake was the CLEAR winner. It was warm, luscious, buttery and wonderful! One last point to make - the bread for the table was served with black eyed pea hummus. Whaaaaat? Phenomenal. Perfection. Ugh, so good. This was truly one of my better dining experiences. I will eat here again and again and again. We come to Little Rock often for work or family, and will never again let the opportunity slip to indulge in more food from Table 28. read more

I'd heard really great things and after reading many reviews, wanted to check it out. Being a Sunday night it wasn't very crowded, so we got to choose where we sat. (We didn't realize there was a whole downstairs too). After sitting down, they gave us bread which we always love as well as gave us the rundown of the menu. We decided to go in on the prix fixed menu. I had meatloaf and my fiancé the chicken. We both loved the apps (I had Kale Caesar). My meatloaf was good, but has a bit of a different taste than I'm used to and was hoping for a nice home style one...that said, With meatloaf I am picky but still ate the whole thing. Next time we'd go we'd prefer to sit downstairs since the upstairs was more open and felt part of the lobby. read more

I give this place 4.5 stars. My family and I really enjoyed it. Only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because I've had better overall experience, but this was really good. The grits were some of the best I've had and my family got burgers and fries which where also delicious. read more

Wanted to try this place for awhile and knew that could accomodate gluten free patrons from a previous review, we tried one Friday night but was booked so came back on a slow night and got right in. It's inside the Burgundy Hotel which is a hip/posh hotel or at least trys to be near West Little Rock. We got sat by the hostess then a guy filled our water and we waited for 7 minutes (we almost got up and left). Finally the bartender came over and said our waiter was late and he had to take our order. Classy. Told us the Artichoke was gluten free, how ever not the pita but did bring out some carrot slices instead which didn't pair at all but still was a thoughtful gesture, the artichoke dip itself was very good. I chose the Beef Filet Tenderloin which came with carrot fries and parsnip. It was tasty, nothing super special however was a decent piece of beef. Lady had the Meatloaf and enjoyed hers as well. I'd prob order something different next time since the steak quality for $38 is not justified in the quality of beef that was served. We had a few cocktails, nothing to rave about. I'd come back here after exploring the rest of Little Rock's culinary scene, maybe we went on an off night, however the atmosphere was awesome. read more

All in one sitting, I had the first hummus that I ever tried and liked (and I really liked this), the best salad that I've ever eaten, a steak that was cooked to perfection, and a very unique dessert that did not disappoint. My Meal: - Hummus: smooth and tangy (lime, perhaps) - delicious - Arugula Salad: walnuts, strawberries, all very fresh, with an exciting surprise on top - Prime Ribeye w/ Creamed Spinach & Twice-Baked Potato: perfect flavor, perfect char, perfect fat rendering - spinach was fantastic, but they're very stingy with it (there MIGHT have been a tablespoon of it on the plate) - the potato was good - S'Mores Bar - everything (including the marshmallow) made in-house - fantastic My waiter, Adam, was very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable... attentive, but not pushy. Sad to say our $188 + tip experience was disappointing ... First time to Table 28 for anniversary dinner. Monday night late April 2023 6PM reservations, place was dead - and stayed that way through our our relaxed dinner. Our server Phillipe was great. We tried the most recommended App - quail lollies - based on reviews - quite good w/great seasoning - but upon reflection ... "nugget" reminiscent of chicken nuggets? We'll try something different next time. Chilean seabass melt-in-your mouth delicious. Brussells sprouts fantastic. Sweet potato accompaniment ... processed to thick soup consistency - nope. Pork chop was great. Rice grits not so much - bland blob. Greens were tasty. Dessert was tiramisu- not Ever my Fave - but it was the Best! Light & fluffy & chocolatey. We received a nice Happy Anniversary note but a little surprised dessert or one drink wasn't comp'd for special occasion. Are we too old school? We may try again ... lunch perhaps. read more

This restaurant truly exceeded my expectations. The aged-beef meatloaf and a veal demi is among the best, on a par with Olive and Fig in Pittsburgh -- the only other competitor in the entire country. The smoked quail lollies in a blue cheese sauce are truly unique. Crispy Brussels sprouts dusted with just the right amount of Parmesan were memorable. A bourbon-sauced sticky toffee was neither too sticky nor too boozed up. Very reasonably priced for the quality of the food here. Highly recommend the Hilton Tapestry hotel it is in as well. Definitely worth a visit while in Little Rock. read more

My partner and I came here for an early happy hour, and we enjoyed ourselves. The ambiance inside the hotel is fine--nothing fancy. However, the restaurant seems like it could offer a really solid atmosphere later in the evenings with the lights turned down relative to the bright atmosphere in the late afternoon. My partner had a drink that he liked, my glass of wine was fairly priced, and the duck wings were superb. I wasn't sure what to expect at a hotel bar that felt out of the way relative to the rest of Little Rock. To be honest, I am not sure I would have given this place a shot if were not staying at the hotel. That being said, I think it is worth a short drive out of the way to stop in for a drink and a solid bite of food after work. I cannot speak to the rest of the menu, but if the other items are as good as the duck wings, then I don't have any concerns. read more

Being from Los Angeles, and having travelled a lot of cuisine throughout our US, this lil' gem is phenom! Little Rock offers nothing; especially in niche quality restaurants. But this locale has the comfortable ambiance that is somehow both laid back yet with an air of romance. The bar has rockin' selection and the waitstaff almost feels a friend by the time you depart. They know the chef's methods inside & out. Even the music selection appears carefully selected. I love that it's hidden away amongst a business district. I hope against hopes that it doesn't become 'the place to be' as it's nook feel makes the vibe fresh. The ribeye competes with steaks at the YO in Dallas! I choose it every time so it's consistent. Don't get me started on The Burgundy Hotel. Updated rooms with highly selected modern adornments. I feel like family from the door's entry. The staff truly enjoy their work with customers and it shows! We go every chance we get; we truly hope you try it out soon! read more

We started off sitting at the bar as it was early and we wanted to knock back a drink before dinner. The bar looked inviting and was a comfortable place to enjoy. They have a couple of well-placed TVs. After tasting the small selection of beer on tap my wife opted for the Lost Forty Love Honey beer (a local). It was quite tasty and either of us would like to drink it again. I went for the Pedro (don't remember the full name) which is a sort of top shelf Manhattan. It was very well done. Small but potent. For dinner we had the ribeye and pork osso bucco. Both were excellent and unique in their preparation. Clearly the chef had imagination and skill in equal measure. We had both red and white wines by the class and again were quite pleased. We'd definitely return next time we're in LR. read more

My boyfriend and I chose Table 28 for our one year anniversary and we were not disappointed! Our first visit but will definitely not be the last. The service was impeccable and the food was divine! Unable to chose between appetizers we ordered both the fried chicken skins with pimento cheese and the artichoke dip, both amazing! Entrees were the filet for him and the pork osso buco for me, again, divine! Oh and the truffle Mac n cheese is a must try! We managed to squeeze in desserts and the sticky toffee cake recommended by our waiter was absolutely heavenly. Came in from out of town and was staying at the hotel. Atmosphere was great. I had the ox tail dinner and was pretty disappointed. The presentation was great, but the taste was very bland. I don't even mind that except when I expressed I wasn't really happy with the dish instead of offering me something else I was brought the check. It's a pretty expensive place for me to walk away unhappy.
