I had an absolutely phenomenal dining experience, and it was all thanks to Andy. From the moment we sat down, it was clear he knew the menu inside and out. I'm usually indecisive, but Andy's recommendations were spot on. He suggested the pork chops, which were perfectly candied and juicy, and paired them with the macaroni and cheese and collard greens. It was a masterclass in flavor--the sweetness of the pork against the savory, creamy mac and the tang of the greens was perfection. Even the Caesar salad (that presentation!) and the drinks were timed perfectly. If you're looking for someone who is knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely cares about your meal, ask for Andy. I don't know how this place has such a high rating on their social media pages. For starters, my server Jaen (pronounced "Juan") provided one of the most excruciatingly slow services I have received. While my wagyu truffle cheeseburger was pretty delish, their heavenly hash cake was god awful! Second time to Table 28. Enjoy the atmosphere but it was a disappointing dinner. The risotto was pretty bad - not creamy or flavorful. Tasted more like wild rice with no seasoning (even just some salt would've been welcome) and the mushrooms were tough and gummy. The meatloaf was served luke warm and was nothing special. Also it's sides were uninspiring. The service was ok. For the price, probably will not be back. There are better options in LR. read more

The bar itself is sunk, with low seating that creates an intimate and cozy setting. There was a distinctive charm about it. I ordered an Old Fashioned, and it was excellent, not too sweet. *Our waiter was great* We came for a nice night out and my drink was completely iced out with "purple ice cubes".. 3 sips and ice. The braised pork appetizer tasted like pot roast, fatty. I ordered the chicken Marsala dinner, FATTY first couple bites. Ok after that first bite I suppose. It's a mediocre restaurant with fine dining prices. ONE choice of steak when that's what we came for. Manager came to check on us and we told him our honest opinion. Not good or great. Not impressed. He was going table to table in his suit and tennis shoes. I don't know what I was expecting but it wasn't this for sure. Won't be back and wouldn't recommend. Horrible service experience! We ordered drinks, appetizers and the main course. It took almost three hours to get through the dinner service. Everyone around us that came in after us was getting there food items before us. We wanted to leave but it was too late to go anywhere else. This was the worse dining experience I have had in a long time. I do not recommend this place. If it happened to us it can happen to you! The waiter was full of excuses and management did not accept responsibility for the poor service. They knew our service was poor and offered free desserts but we were ready to go. We were also afraid it would take another hour to get the dessert so there's that! read more

I'm a local living in Pleasant Valley; been staying at the Hotel Burgundy for the past two weeks during a kitchen remodel. First let me say this place is amazing! A true gem in our city. Quaint and charming! I was told by four individuals that the wagyu burger was the best ever! My immediate retort was always, "it better be for $30!" Well...,let me tell you, hands down this is the best burger I've ever had! I don't know what was on the burger I guess I could look it up, but the cheese definitely wasn't a Kraft single or Velveeta! Lol I had originally put this place off as being Frou Frou food. Highly decorated, elevated price, and non-satiating plates. I stand corrected! I forgot to mention the truffle fries, piled high with grated Parmesan. My wife stated that she could never go back to a regular burger. I would concur! Service was attentive and pleasing. The food is IMPECCABLE. The flavors and textures are perfection. Some of the items on the menu sound like they could be basic but everything is very elevated. For example the cheesy grits- the perfect amount of cheesy with the sweetness of sauteed peppers, or mashed sweet potatoes- the smoooothness of these potatoes and the blend of marshmallow and bourbon (chefs kiss). My husband had the jerked pork rib eye with the coconut cream collard greens.. Why have I never had a pork rib eye before??? AMAZING. I had the Scollops over chorizo sweet corn. There is an art to cooking scallops and who ever was cooking these has perfected it! Also I thought I died when I tasted the sticky toffee pudding because the balance of salty and sweet was heavenly.. I wish I could remember our waiters name, he was great. read more

Gumbo is one of my favorite foods that no one ever seems to get right; but Table 28 excels. It seemed odd that we only had wine options to drink; no beer or cocktails. The server said that there was a bar but no menu so we weren't sure what our options were. He also seemed put out by me asking about the seasoning of the curry duck breast (I've never had it before and wanted to be sure of what it was before ordering). Our table was stuck in the corner of the room behind a wine fridge so I almost felt as if I were in time out! I really love the food here, it has so many beautifully plated and tasty options for reasonable prices. All dishes are chef inspired. This is my 2nd week staying at the burgundy hotel and I love how Table 28 is conveniently located right inside. Today was the first time I decided not eat in so I ordered my food to-go so I could relax in my room. My server came out with a room service presentation and took my food up to my room for me; he told me he didn't want me to have to eat out of boxes. He was so incredibly kind and thoughtful! Thank you so much David, this made my day after a long weekend of traveling in and working today. The bean soup is a must! It is the best bean soup I've ever had at any restaurant - and I am a huge bean soup fan. You will not be disappointed! 3 other dishes I highly recommend are 1 -the fried bologna sliders with homemade chips 2- the deviled eggs topped with chicken skins and 3 - the Fried duck and sweet bread pot pie with tarragon dressing. We had an AWEOME dinning experience on Wednesday, 02/16/22! The squash soup had a rich creamy texture and such an unforgettable flavor. Their Redffish dish came with charred brussel sprouts that were exceptional. If you love Shrimp & Grits, you have to try their Shrimp & Riced Grits; and you will want to sop-up every bit of that delicious broth. Also recommend the Hibiscus Margarita. The pasta served with the chicken was cold 2 of us had wedge salads that were satisfactory. The desserts were very good. We each had one cocktail. Food tasted horrible! Table of 4 and three of us left greatly disappointed. Got the lamb ($50) which was hard as a rock and overcooked. My wife got the chicken saltimbocca ($36) and every bite was a different taste and texture. I don't mind paying a higher price for good food but a Saturday night service this was one of the worst meals I've literally eaten at a restaurant. Restaurant is open so you are also watching people in pajamas walking around going to and from their hotel rooms. This place was terrible. My friends and I will not ever be returning. read more

Also compared to the price, I don't really know if the food was worth the price. But overall not a bad place. Took my parents for their anniversary. Love this place! My coworkers picked this restaurant while we traveled to Little Rock and this is the best meal I have had in Little Rock so far (my second week-long visit here from SF). My other meals were pretty good (from Samantha's, Bruno's little Italy, Allshopp Chappell, but not a "wow amazing" type). We stayed in downtown and the restaurant is 15 minutes drive from downtown but we were so glad to take the drive. Totally worth it! All of us really enjoyed our foods and dessert! Something exciting about Little Rock now. The services were pretty good and attentive. Restaurant decor was nice and noise level was acceptable. The restaurant is inside the Burgund Hotel which looks nice itself. The restaurant was busy but we were able to reserve a table for 3 same night before we left. Incredible experience!!! Table 28 is a hidden gem In West Little Rock. I selfishly don't want to post so it stays the quaint, hide gem that we love. I want to honor this wonderful place. Scott Raines, executive chef, is just amazing. We started with the quail lollies because I just can't eat here without those. We then had the pork cheek, also amazing, the wedge salad was delicious. Our entree was the Beef Tournedos Rossini and it was one of the most flavorful dishes I've ever eaten. Of course we always finish with the sticky toffee cake because it's perfect in every way! Their cocktails are so super impressive. Bartender, Coco, makes incredible cocktails. We had the Grand Bizarre and the Paloma but I bet they are all incredible! I failed to get our waiters name but he was outstanding, very professional and served us with class and elegance. A Michelin Star experience in our opinion. Also, the new manager is fun & vibrant!
