I had to take another look at Table 100 to give a better review. I had based my original response to the restaurant to a singular visit that I had made to the establishment. But when I receive a note from the owner asking me questions about my visit, I decided I needed to go there one more time. This time I ordered the "Bourbon Braised Beef Tips & Rice" and the "pork bites". The food was fresh and delicious. I admit you can have one bad experience and it can dominate your view of an overall experience. I believe that this restaurant is very important to the Flowood area as it offers some very different choices on the menu, that you will not find anywhere else. I am prayerful that this restaurant will survive through these uncertain times and that they will continue to serve our community with great variety and fresh food options. 5 Stars for the bacon cheeseburger! I am not sure about the rest of the food, but if the BCB is any indication of the quality of the food overall, you won't be disappointed in Table 100. This is the latest venture from Bill Latham and Al Roberts who are the wonderful men that brought 5-guys and Babalu to Jackson. I say wonderful because 5-Guys is just awesome and Jackson really needed a cool, hip place like Babalu. Back to the burger. The sous chef from Table 100, Alex has been coming into my business shipping things while they get started at the restaurant. I told him I was a burger fiend so he invited me to try the Table 100 burger. Well, I tried it and he is right, it is a very tasty burger. Mine was cooked medium, the patty was thick, I would say 8-10 oz. The bun was an egg bun. Not sweet but very nice. The menu describes the burger as: "Neola Farms black angus beef, smoked tomato, applewood bacon, white cheddar cheese, lettuce, mustard aioli" Well, the meat was very tasty. A tad dryer than the Kobe burger at 463, but still a nice patty. The bacon was fantastic. Well worth it. The mustard and white cheddar were excellent as well. It is a very good combination. Get it made like they make it without substitutions and you will be a-OK. Finally, the house cut chips are off the chain. They are like having a plate of crispy fries without all the filler potatoes. I loved them. I am looking forward to getting back over there and digging into the menu some more. read more

My review is based on a rather large and fun dinner party, as there was 14 of us and my sister was insistent on playing a round of the Dirty Mind game... When 80% of our party arrived (which was 11.2 people... I did the math lol) we were promptly sat and served triple filtered water... I laughed at that... We had two servers who were pretty attentive during the beginning of the meal, but left us alone as we were a rather rambunctious dinner party for my sister's celebration and entertained ourselves and everyone else around us. The dinner rolls were fine, nothing spectacular. Someone at the opposite end of the table ordered deviled eggs... I passed on those clearly. I can't say too much about the dishes that everyone ordered as there was a great amount of food on the table, but there were plenty of shrimp and grits ordered and enjoyed as well as the Ashley Chicken dish ordered and enjoyed. My aunt ordered the cheese plate and enjoyed it, the butterfly crackers were cute, sorry I missed getting a pic of that. Well I ended up choosing the vegetable plate, and the server and I had a great conversation on what I could order. He was well informed and was also going to let the chef know that I was a vegetarian so I was glad that I didn't have to worry about the preparation of my food. I ended up choosing the spinach, string beans, grit cake!!, and the macaroni and cheese. Let's just say when I go back I will definitely be ordering the grit cake, string beans, and spinach again. The macaroni and cheese I can pass on... But that Grit Cake deserves a sonnet to be written about it. It comes in a cute triangle shape, so I started to envision a house built of grit cakes, but I would eat my house.... so nevermind. Overall, the food was good, the company was even better, and the tiny bit of brownie I could taste from my sister's dessert had me dreaming of chocolate all night. Table 100 has a very upscale feel to it. Especially, considering that it's in a town called "Flowood, MS". The food and service are very good, as well. My dining partner and I both enjoyed the Wednesday lunch special, Southern Fried Chicken, with two sides. Awesome fried chicken! I hear that their Saturday AND Sunday brunch is fantastic, as well. Recommended by a flight seat neighbor...the restaurant is located on the corner of a small strip mall....the inside is nicely decorated, we sat in the back area and there was a pianist playing. We took a seat and it took a few minutes to get anyone to greet us although it was a fairly empty bar room. The waitress was friendly...didn't know too much about drinks for working in the bar room, so I ordered a regular Moscow mule. It was good. For dinner I had a cup of the chicken & andouille gumbo and the grilled chicken primavera without asparagus. The gumbo was OK...pretty brothy, I had better at Newks nearby. The chicken primevera was good but I'd probably try something else next time. I had a chocolate martini for dessert and it tasted like an adult chocolate milk...good. read more

One of the best restaurants in the area. After several visits, I can say I've never had a bad experience here. The food is local upscale Southern fare. The recipes are creative, with excellent presentation. The servers are well-trained, and polite. The atmosphere is upscale and classy. It's a great place for a group dinner or celebration. If you are in a smaller group, I would recommend the bar. Tables there are full-sized, and there is great live piano most nights. The noise level is fine for conversation, and the bartenders wait the tables attentively. There is a fun old fashioned drink menu, and the drinks are really good. read more

I'm going to start every review with: I'm from Las Vegas and I'm still in mourning...but I digress. WOW!! I stumbled upon this gem while running errands and boy am I glad! I love fine dining restaurants who get the details right, who obviously take pride in attention to small details. For example, creamer and butter served in REAL glass or metal containers; butter served at room temperature, honey offered with the boxed tea selection. Perfect! The yeast rolls were perfect, although next time I'll ask for regular butter rather than the sweet maple butter that accompanied the basket. I started with the French onion soup, which was the BEST I've had in Jackson! It was perfectly balanced: not too onion-y and a deep, flavorful broth topped with a perfectly broiled cheesy crust...my entree was the fried gulf shrimp. Again, perfectly executed: not greasy nor overly battered. It was served with freshly-cut fries, a great tartar sauce, and a non-mayo cole slaw that was sweet and crunchy, served within its own little mason jar. I left room for the sticky toffee pudding and again, perfect execution! I'm amazed that a restaurant can do so many styles of cuisine well: French, English, Southern. I vow to return so that I can try each daily lunch special. Oh, my waitress, Christina was a peach!! She was very knowledgeable about the menu and even researched from where the honey that accompanied my tea hailed. Table 100 came HIGHLY recommended by a good friend of mine. My flight was canceled out of Jackson...let's turn a negative into a positive. I called Table 100, Sara assured me I could get a seat at the Piano Bar. The Piano guy was a PRO, his repitoire was extensive. Bartender Mike served a generous pour of Johnny Walker Black...I was off and running to a GREAT night. Their French Onion soup...superb. A THICK slab of melted cheese, plus the onions and broth told me the best was yet to come. My pan seared Red Fish was done to perfection, with a TASTY assortment of crunchy veggies on the side. Conversation at the bar included sports, business and life. My waiter suggested the Crunchy Toffee for dessert. It included ice cream, a warm toffee sauce, a TASTY brownie and goo. Never in my life, have I had a better ending to a dinner. The residents of Flowood, MS, have a gem of a restaurant right in their own backyard. Out of town visitors are in for a treat. Love this restaurant! The food is delicious and they're quick. You can't go wrong with anything you order -- and the fish is probably the best I've ever had. So fresh and well-complimented. I can't list favorites, because I'd end up repeating the entire menu. Just go with whatever you're feeling, and trust you're in for a treat. The ambience feels a little high-end, but the staff will make you feel comfortable no matter what you're wearing. Next, you have to try their French onion soup--id consider myself an expert on FO soup--bc it is incredibly tasty. If you are wanting a sammy, I suggest the French dip! Food is ok. Prices too high, but I have been there before so knew what to expect. Got to restaurant and an hour wait OR first come first serve in bar - which we chose to do. One couple standing in front of us got seated quickly. Manager got a couple of stools for us to sit on by piano while we waited. We assumed the manager was looking out for us. Big mistake. A table for six was open but manager did not want only two of us occupying that table. Understood that. But a couple walked around us and went and sat at that table for six. They got served. Then a table for four opened up and as we were getting up from our stools, another woman walked around us and sat down at the table. My daughter was really mad and went and told the woman that we were ahead of her. She did not move. The waiter walked up and then gave my daughter a hard time even though we were there first. Finally he asked the woman if she was willing to give up the table. Really??? He asked her even though she cut in line? Well, end result is we got the table. Oh and the manager (at least we thought he was the manager) who we thought was sort of monitoring everything was playing the piano. If you are going to have first come first serve, then have a procedure to make sure people get seated in the order they got there and no breaking in line by pushy people who act entitled. So by the time we sat down our night was already ruined. It does not take a genius At Table 100 To implement an orderly procedure. But it seems like Table 100 prefers a free for all. What an absolutely incredible experience my colleague and I had at Table 100. The food was exceptional, locally grown and sourced. It was one of the best meals I have had in recent memory. What made it even better was our waitress! She was so knowledgeable of the food, the restaurant, the area. And spent a lot of time with us sharing all the information she knew. We sat in the bar and listen to the piano. It was a really, really wonderful experience. I had the French Inion soup (amazing), the small shrimp and grits(pure heaven), and my colleague and I shared the Bananas Foster Desert (made tableside; the only issue I had with it was that it had a few too many bananas, and needed to be plated in a bigger dish - but it was really wonderful). Man is this place excellent or what?!?!? Went in for lunch and this place blew us away. The atmosphere is great the wait staff is great and the food was beyond amazing. We started off with the Smoke Tuna dip with crostini...superb! The I got a bowl of the duck and sausage gumbo and it easily ranked in the top 3 gumbos that I have every eaten...the ruex was done to perfection. The my was fe and I both ordered the shrimp and grits and I'm telling you you are not going to find anything that good even in the low country...spoiler the shrimp are wrapped in bacon!!! It's across the parking lot from the hotel so I went. And I'm glad I did! It was a bit an early evening, not too busy, I had my pick of sittings. I set at the bar, off toward the end because I brought my computer with me with intent to get some work done. The bartender (Bill) was immediately in front of me. I wasn't sure what I wanted and he patiently help me to find my drink. Seeing my computer, he politely retreated allowing me to do my work. But he somehow always managed to be right in front of me when I lifted my head up ready to order something else. The happy hour menu has a nice selection of small plates, including vegetarian choices. I wasn't too hungry so I just tried the Thai mussels in a spicy coconut sauce. It came with very generous slices of in-house baked focaccia bread. Delicious! The place got packed by dinner time and the bartenders changed, and I ended up even with more attention than I asked for or expected. I absolutely love the Southern hospitality!! This is only my 2nd visit to Table 100 and now I'm kicking myself for taking so long to go back. This time I sat in the bar area where it seems that the patrons already knew each other. The in comes a pianist whom everyone seemed acquainted with as well. I don't know if this is an everyday deal or I just lucked up on a Monday. The bartender was walking Southern Hospitality as well as the floor manager and other staffers. There was a young waitress who helped me make a dessert selection. And boy am I glad I listened to her. Service was impeccable tonight. I came in to find a corner to study for an hour, have a glass of wine with fries (my usual happy hour snack) then leave. The food was good but the portions was for a 3 year old kid that just drank a cup full of milk...you get my drift. The servers presented with great presentation, great wine list, and the atmosphere was great. To the owner, increase the portions. I can guarantee you that if you increase the portions, more people would come for the great service and also the great food with bigger portion sizes. Terrible service for to go orders. Every time and I mean EVERY TIME , I get something to go there's always an inconvenience or issue. usually, they take like 35 to 45 minutes to finally get the food out to me when they've told me "it'll be ready in 15 minutes" another few times they charged me too much, some times as much as $ 10 too much for my to go order. At that point, I have to wait about 10 minutes while the waiter tracks down the manager and discusses the issue, then, when the manager gets involved, instead of just saying "it's on the house sir, no problem. we're sorry for the wait and wasting your time" they make me wait 10 minutes while they re do the bill. The food's pretty good, but the to go service is AWFUL. read more

The lunch 12:15 pm was not good for a Monday had the sweet tea brined smoked chicken. The chicken was dry and not even warm. the black-eyed peas little warm and tasted funny nasty could not eat them. Also the Brussels sprout they was good I had 3 half piece and a lot of little fried burned leaves from the Brussels sprout. May be it was just a bad day for the kitchen crew. Tab was 150 for two people for just entrees and one appetizer. Food was cold I'd rate maybe 3 out of 5. Service was awful. I'd give her 2 out of 5. We saw our waitress at the beginning of our meal to take our order. Never received a refill after we had to ask for one. And then had to flag her down for the check. We may try it again one day. This place is pretty damn good! We always reserve "Table 100" which is the big wooden table when you 1st walk in yhe dining area. Seats are not all that comfortable but great ambience. The service is outstanding and tge servers are always helpful, friendly, and fun. The Drinks.. they have some pretty dam good drinks on their specialty drink menu. Try em all! The apps... the pork belly app is off the chain.. the server reccomended get all pork belly instead of whatever else it came with.. highly reccomend this... crab claws are usually pretty basic... however whatever they marinate theirs in is spectacular! Salad... the beet salad.. one of the best I ever had Main course... i had a tough decision between the ribeye and the short rib.. they talked me in to the short rib.. i am so glad they did as i usually get the ribeye. The short rib was amazing marinated all night and literally enough for 3 people it was HUGE! And so tasty! I highly reccomend this place for a night out with your girl or for a large party.. if you have around 8-10 folks request Table 100. read more

This was our first visit to table 100 as it was rated nicely on Yelp and very close to our hotel. The service and atmosphere was top notch! It was a great romantic spot. The drink menu was creative. My partner had the duck and we both had the French onion soup. The soup was good but not the best I had ever had. The duck was fantastic but the sides listed as collard greens and sweet potatoes were literally a drizzle for effect. My partner really loved the sweet potato "drizzle" and would have enjoyed a larger portion of each. It's unfortunate that some of these newer more contemporary restaurants seem to use a side as an excuse for an artistic drizzle. The bread was so hard that it could have broken a tooth. I did point this out to the server he said they had a problem with this. But knowing that and serving it anyway, knocked my rating down. A 4 star because quite frankly the price was not worth a 5 star review. It could easily step up a few small touches to make this go from good to amazing read more

Second time I have eaten there. First time had the beef short rib and it was fantastic. The server said they recently changed the menu and added a new salad. I forget the name but it was a nice starter. Tomatoes,arugula, salami with an Italian soft cheese with a vinegarette. I had the redfish that the server highly recommended. I thought it was average. It was over cooked and i felt overpriced. I definitely would suggest sticking with the beef short rib. Overall table 100 is a great spot for a date night. read more
