Great flavors in Chilli paneer! Perfect blend of savory and spice. App Portion sizes are generous. Chicken 65 also great. Flavors are mild but tasty.

Our Indian neighbors rave about this place and drive across town for it. Now we understand why. The prices are reasonable and the flavor is wonderful. We went on a weekday and the place was pretty packed. Good constant wave of diners. Can't remember which dish was what, we ordered so much. But everything was yummy.

First time here and really enjoyed the food! We came for dinner around 6pm but noticed they got super busy around 8pm. The menu is stacked with a big variety. Service was quick and food came out piping hot. Would definitely come back here!

I usually don't post reviews, unless I am significantly impressed (negatively and positively) I must say that I have had Indian food from coast to coast, and I must say how delicious the food here is! The biryani is amazing, and the curries are as well ! Portions are big and price is good. Service is ok, not very fast. Ambient is descent, not fancy at all, but the food makes up for all of that!

Fantastic mango lassi and butter paneer! The staff were friendly and the food was delicious! I was impressed with the amount of food you get with the fish 65 appetizer!

My first time here and definitely not my last. If you desire authentic Indian cuisine hands down the BEST I ever tasted. The curried goat, butter and bullet naan ( made with green chiles), paneer tikka masala and Gongura chicken curry oh my goodness I can't tell begin to explain the layers of spices and love put into these dishes. Nestled in a small strip mall 15025 Lancaster Hwy in Charlotte. Make a special trip....I'm so serious you will fall in love!

Went here on Sunday evening. Nothing that of appealing ambiance. It looked more like you are at lodge just like in India. Service was okay nothing extra ordinary. Ordered masala papad it was very spicy and tasted more like Mirchi papad. Ordered Paneer subji with medium spicy, it was also 5/5 spicy for us. Quantity was decent and came with rice. Naan and Roti were good but again nothing out of the ordinary. Overall 3/5

You need to come in for lunch! The lunch special is the best ever!! Dining in or take out for dinner, everything is amazing. My favorites are chicken tikki and paneer... and just splurg on the biryani and garlic Nan! I always have enough for 2-3 meals! No frills space, pleasant music.

I have ordered delivery from here several times via Uber Eats and have been really impressed with their consistency. Some of the dishes we have ordered: Gobi Manchuran and Gobi 65 - REALLY flavorful and delicious. Even with delivery some pieces remained crispy- so I cant imagine how much better it is when eaten just cooked in the restaurant! Chili Baby Corn- my favorite app here, cool indo-chinese fusion flavors and a decent portion size. Channa Masala - this tastes like home comfort food, and fresh. Often I've had this dish at other places and it seems to be overly spiced but at Tabla, its seasoned just right and tastes like a small-batch dish. Veg Fried Rice- I could eat this every day. Also a generous portion size, which you'd hope for since its just under 11 bucks. I really hope life can get to some form of 'normal' sometime soon as I would love to visit this restaurant in-person and see if its even possible to improve upon the experience eating food as it comes out the kitchen. Despite only having eaten delivery from here, I would easily say this ranks in my top few favorite Indian restaurants in Charlotte.

I have been on a mission to try every Indian Restaurant around me so my search sent me here. I was not very impressed with the interior, but the food was good. We started with one of my favorites Malai Kofta and it was really good and I enjoyed heat it brought on the back end. We also had Chicken Tikka and Goat curry medium spice. Both were very flavorful. We were a little disappointed that they didn't have a Chicken Korma dish only Veggie Korma, which when asked at other Indian restaurants they can usually conform but was told only Veggie Korma is served. They also advertised they served wine but they only serve beer. Took off a star for that, I would have enjoyed a glass of wine with my meal. Our server was great and everyone was very attentive so we enjoyed.

    Ulavacharu goat biryani is burnt
    Sainath R.

Please don't order food in this restaurant. I would rate even below one star if there is an option. I have ordered Ulvacharu goat biryani and the whole biryani is stale and smells like burnt food when I eat. I think they gave me left over goat biryani. The other biryani that I order was Vijayawada boneless biryani. About the boneless chicken biryani, it doesn't feel and taste like a biryani. It's literally chicken curry over rice. I would seriously recommend the restaurant to change the boneless chicken biryani name to chicken curry and rice because it would be the apt name for the biryani. Sorry I mentioned it as biryani, since it's a curry over rice. The biryani is not at all fresh. Please don't waste your money eating at this place.

Great service... good food and the atmosphere seas very inviting. I Will most definitely be going back to try more.

Salmon is delicious even cold. Yogurt rice has uncooked rice and so much yogurt it's soup (not good at all). Garlic naan doesn't taste like any garlic and if you know naan, it's not good cold. I found a new favorite Indian restaurant! It's so good, I went back in less than one week and…read morebrought someone else ! The first time, I was with my husband. The restaurant has re-decorated and renamed from the Indian restaurant that was here before. It looks very nice and bright inside with beautiful booths that look as if they have crystals nestled into the black fabric. We started off with the chicken samosa. It was delicious ! It reminded me of having a chicken pot pie inside a crispy, puffed pastry. It was served with a tasty green sauce and a tangy brown sauce to dip in. The next time I came, the waiter brought us their special sauce to dip in, and it was even better. It tasted like spicy cilantro and mint. For entrees, my husband ordered the lamb kabobs. They came out sizzling hot, just like you see the fajita meat at Mexican restaurants. They were very good. I got the lamb chetinadu with rice. I asked for it spicy, but it wasn't quite spicy enough. Even my light-weight husband could eat it... so it was definitely weak. They took it back and fixed it, then it was perfect ! (And an entirely different color- it went from brown to a reddish color). I got the garlic naan bread to go with it, but it was not as thick and fluffy as other places. It reminded me of store-bought naan. My only complaint was their mango lassi. It was served in a plastic cup, not a glass, and was really watered down. I doubt I will buy it again. I like it thick and flavorful. Next we tried 2 of the desserts. The first dessert ras malai topped with sliced almonds reminded me of tres leches, except the spongy "cake" was round balls. It was good. The second was carrot halwa topped with cashews. It was ok. Interesting to try different things. They charge extra for credit card, so pay with cash. Also, closely watch what you are being charged. I was almost charged one dollar more than what was listed on the menu for the dessert. I came back 5 days later with my Indian friend and we both got the Hakka noodles (Indo-Chinese). They were very good ! This may be my go-to order. I must say, the Indo-Chinese noodles are better at Aroma because they put more cabbage and carrots, but this was still very good. That would be my suggestion... to add more veg. and they could be just as good. Lastly I tried their mothu kur laddu for dessert. I really enjoyed it. Note this item said $5 on the menu, but I was charged $6 upon check out. I caught it, and it was corrected. My Indian friend was not impressed with the dessert selection. She said most are likely from a can at the store. I personally don't know any different so to my little American self, it was fine. Overall, I'll probably become a regular here. Thinking about inviting a group to join me next week !

She's such a lovely, sunny young woman -- incredibly pleasant to talk to and very responsive to all our questions. We started with mango lassis , one for each of us. I also ordered garlic naan , which is one of my favorites. Since the restaurant specializes in kabobs, I decided to try the garlic chicken kabobs , while my husband went with the veal kabobs . The mango lassi was tasty , though I'd suggest serving it in a glass when dining in -- just a small touch that would elevate the experience. We were also provided with water , which was appreciated, especially with dishes that include rice and bread . My husband's veal kabobs and naan arrived first, followed shortly by my garlic chicken kabobs. The naan did not disappoint -- soft, warm, and full of garlicky goodness . My chicken kabobs were flavorful and came out piping hot , a great sign of freshness. One thing to note for future guests: the kabobs are served without sauce, so don't expect a curry-style dish like tikka masala . We had just two small critiques: 1. The rice served was jasmine, which felt a bit dry and underwhelming. Typically, we're used to basmati rice with Indian cuisine, so this was a noticeable difference. 2. The veal kabobs, though well-seasoned, were overcooked and had a chewy texture . To finish off the meal, I ordered the ras malai -- and wow! It was delicious. I even went back for seconds! The establishment itself was clearly recently renovated . You can tell thought was put into the space -- the color palette was fresh and tasteful, and the overall atmosphere was very clean and inviting . It made for a lovely dining experience from start to finish.

Our regular appetizer at $13.99. Many servers are not well-versed in making English translations of dishes, so do not be shy to ask for clarification from other employees. Also, spiciness in terms of heat are set as none, mild, medium and hot. On a scale of 5, with 5 being very hot, we go for a 2 or three, mostly sticking on mild. The kitchen can go overboard, so if it is too hot for you, speak up. We usually split a large bottle of Indian lager beer. There are about 6 varieties available. India does make good lager beers at $5 - 8 per bottle. Another appetizer that I have as a main is the most delicious Pitapuram Prawns Vepudu ($17.99), at mild spice level. A super yummy dish of sauteed shrimp, eight medium sized that you have to cut in half to eat, cooked with onions and green bell pepper in a unctuous gravy, as in rich tasting, of severe flavor. I mean severe to be intense, not ucky. The Okra Masala ($13.99) is a stew of okra with onions and spices, which is delicious mixed, as we like it, with white rice, at medium spice level. We eat whatever is left over for lunch the next day. Bullet Naan ($4.99) is covered with bits of chilies, going well with the curries and stew-like dishes. To control the spicy heat and rescue my tongue, I regularly order a Mango Lassi ($3.99). This is a very nice, smooth, tasty with tang yogurt drink. Try one for your table so you all can try it. Water and beer do not "refresh" the spice...milk and yogurt does. The Asian-Indians eat later, beginning at 8pm.
