Chili chicken
Cecillia A.

The food was good. I got the chili chicken and it was pretty flavorful. The small appetizer does not come with any rice so be sure to order a side of it. Owner is good, very informative. Ambiance, it's nice inside.

So, we were searching for a new restaurant to try, and found this one - so we immediately planned on eating here. We reached quite early, I guess just minutes after its opening, so we were perhaps the 2nd table to be filled. Our server was a familiar face (we have seen her at other Indian restaurants in past). We were greeted promptly and were seated. We ordered chicken lollipop for appetizer after server explained how the preparation is (we've tried something like that in India and wanted to give it stab, knowing that this is more North Indian preparation I was really hoping lollipop is like how I'm thinking it to be) - and sure enough, it was tasty and how I expected it. For entree curry we took servers recommendation and it was traditional curry that was really tasty. We also ordered aloo paratha for my toddler, we asked for it to be more home style so he doesn't refuse eating it. While paratha was good, I was shocked it was just 1-piece for that price. We also ordered noodles - it was nice but not the best indo-Chinese noodles. Onion kulcha was very tasty. Owner was nice, she saw our toddler needed entertainment so she brought some crayons and sheet to color - very thoughtful! Masala papad was tasty too. I experimented their mango lassi cocktail and it was funky - haha... I won't order it again, but if you are like me and curious, go for it. Overall a great find, I hope they keep up with the taste and quality.

Chole

We came as a group of 10 for a birthday. They sat us by the door and there were 2 other doors nearby that were not in use but still produced a cold draft. (It's November). We kept on our light jackets and wished we could have been tucked back further into the restaurant. We asked for different seating, but they refused even though we were the ONLY people in the restaurant at the time. The guy said "We set it up there." I had the lentil dumplings called Bhalla Supreme for an appetizer and they were good. However, I did not like them bringing it AT THE SAME TIME AS MY MEAL. Be sute to make it clear that you want your app BEFORE your meal. It seems many Indian places are doing this, so sometimes I won't give them my entree order until they bring out my appetizer. For my entree, I got the lamb korma level 3 and it was also good. Spice level is 1 to 3. 3 was at the top of my spice tolerance. If you can't take very hot, be safe and order level 2. We sampled chicken tikka and chicken lollipop. Highly recommend the chicken lollipop. It was crispy and flavorful. The mango lassi was served in a tall, thin glass and was very good. A friend of mine from India got the chole at a level 3 and it was too spicy for her to eat it. I forget the name of the bread she got with it, but it reminded me of an elephant ear you get at the Fair without the powdered sugar. For dessert we had mashed/ pureed warm spiced carrots with almonds. It was very good. Our waitress was pleasant and the owner is very nice. An 18% tip is added for groups. We had no trouble splitting the bill individually.

Cold food

Terrible service, bad food and 100% overpriced. Should have been issued a refund. It isn't difficult to make good food if you care.

I recently visited this place, a week after they opened. I was warmly greeted by the waiter, who was very helpful and quickly took my order while recommending the sunrise mocktail drink, which was nice and refreshing. As far as the food, I ordered the standard butter chicken, since this is a Punjabi-owned restaurant, I figured that would be a safe choice. The butter chicken gravy was tasty; however, the chicken itself was quite firm in texture. This could be improved. The complementary rice is nice, but adding a little bit of cumin or some flavor could certainly boost it. Overall, it was a nice experience, and I especially appreciate the slightly elevated ambience . A lot of Indian restaurants miss the mark when it comes to ambience, but this one definitely has a nice vibe, not too formal, not too casual just right.

Chicken tikka masala, palak paneer, jasmine rice, garlic naan.

First time there and we tried the palak paneer, chicken tikka masala and garlic naan. All of it was delicious, spiced and seasoned well. Chicken was tender and the palak paneer was some of the best we've had. They give large portion sizes (great to share) and we ended up taking home plenty of leftovers. Server was fantastic and friendly. Only feedback would be to work on a faster kitchen time. Overall, enjoyed the meal and would highly recommend checking them out!

Another visit to my favorite Mystic Spice, an amazing Indian restaurant known for its rich, flavorful dishes. All the dishes I have tried so far are unbeatable, and the spices are always perfectly balanced. The warm, welcoming vibe and consistently delicious food keep me coming back. Had a great time meeting and eating with friends today. Cheers to this wonderful place.

The food arrived within 15 minutes of ordering. The Malabar parotta and mutton biryani (made with zeera samba rice) were a pleasant surprise. It came with raita and kurma- brought back fond memories of Tamil Nadu. The mango fish curry was finger-licking good, but the crab pepper masala was just okay. The person who brought out the food(I believe he was the chef) was very polite and professional. The bill came to around $90 including tip. Although I felt the food was slightly overpriced, the quality of the food, ambience, and service made it worth every penny. I'd definitely come back again, especially on a Sunday to try their live appam and paya.

Staff moving at the speed of a snail on annual leave, no communication, just vibes (bad ones). Order was wrong (shock), chips were cold, drink tasted like it needed counselling. Courtney was starving and trying to be polite because she's a good girl, but I could tell she was disappointed and as a MOTHER that's where I draw the line. No apology, no urgency, no pride. If you don't want to work here then don't, but don't take it out on paying customers and their children. Courtney deserves better and frankly so do I. Sort it out. -- Sharon x

I found a new favorite Indian restaurant! It's so good, I went back in less than one week and…read morebrought someone else ! The first time, I was with my husband. The restaurant has re-decorated and renamed from the Indian restaurant that was here before. It looks very nice and bright inside with beautiful booths that look as if they have crystals nestled into the black fabric. We started off with the chicken samosa. It was delicious ! It reminded me of having a chicken pot pie inside a crispy, puffed pastry. It was served with a tasty green sauce and a tangy brown sauce to dip in. The next time I came, the waiter brought us their special sauce to dip in, and it was even better. It tasted like spicy cilantro and mint. For entrees, my husband ordered the lamb kabobs. They came out sizzling hot, just like you see the fajita meat at Mexican restaurants. They were very good. I got the lamb chetinadu with rice. I asked for it spicy, but it wasn't quite spicy enough. Even my light-weight husband could eat it... so it was definitely weak. They took it back and fixed it, then it was perfect ! (And an entirely different color- it went from brown to a reddish color). I got the garlic naan bread to go with it, but it was not as thick and fluffy as other places. It reminded me of store-bought naan. My only complaint was their mango lassi. It was served in a plastic cup, not a glass, and was really watered down. I doubt I will buy it again. I like it thick and flavorful. Next we tried 2 of the desserts. The first dessert ras malai topped with sliced almonds reminded me of tres leches, except the spongy "cake" was round balls. It was good. The second was carrot halwa topped with cashews. It was ok. Interesting to try different things. They charge extra for credit card, so pay with cash. Also, closely watch what you are being charged. I was almost charged one dollar more than what was listed on the menu for the dessert. I came back 5 days later with my Indian friend and we both got the Hakka noodles (Indo-Chinese). They were very good ! This may be my go-to order. I must say, the Indo-Chinese noodles are better at Aroma because they put more cabbage and carrots, but this was still very good. That would be my suggestion... to add more veg. and they could be just as good. Lastly I tried their mothu kur laddu for dessert. I really enjoyed it. Note this item said $5 on the menu, but I was charged $6 upon check out. I caught it, and it was corrected. My Indian friend was not impressed with the dessert selection. She said most are likely from a can at the store. I personally don't know any different so to my little American self, it was fine. Overall, I'll probably become a regular here. Thinking about inviting a group to join me next week !

She's such a lovely, sunny young woman -- incredibly pleasant to talk to and very responsive to all our questions. We started with mango lassis , one for each of us. I also ordered garlic naan , which is one of my favorites. Since the restaurant specializes in kabobs, I decided to try the garlic chicken kabobs , while my husband went with the veal kabobs . The mango lassi was tasty , though I'd suggest serving it in a glass when dining in -- just a small touch that would elevate the experience. We were also provided with water , which was appreciated, especially with dishes that include rice and bread . My husband's veal kabobs and naan arrived first, followed shortly by my garlic chicken kabobs. The naan did not disappoint -- soft, warm, and full of garlicky goodness . My chicken kabobs were flavorful and came out piping hot , a great sign of freshness. One thing to note for future guests: the kabobs are served without sauce, so don't expect a curry-style dish like tikka masala . We had just two small critiques: 1. The rice served was jasmine, which felt a bit dry and underwhelming. Typically, we're used to basmati rice with Indian cuisine, so this was a noticeable difference. 2. The veal kabobs, though well-seasoned, were overcooked and had a chewy texture . To finish off the meal, I ordered the ras malai -- and wow! It was delicious. I even went back for seconds! The establishment itself was clearly recently renovated . You can tell thought was put into the space -- the color palette was fresh and tasteful, and the overall atmosphere was very clean and inviting . It made for a lovely dining experience from start to finish.
