I got a 6 with my chicken tikka masala. I love spice but it was really spicy. It was still good. I got like a $30 meal deal I got naan,my entree,and a mango smoothie. The service was fine. Curry Junction is a hidden gem! I recently discovered they have a fantastic lunch special daily (T-Sun). For $20 you get a samosa, naan, rice and two entrees often both with chicken depending on your choice. This is usually enough to feed my friend and me and sometimes we get an appetizer or dessert in addition. I've tried out a variety of dishes and these are the favorites: -sweet corn soup -garlic naan (love the freshness of the parsley w the garlic!) -chili chicken -tandoori chicken -chana masala -chicken tikka masala -samosas -gulab jaman for dessert The service is attentive without being intrusive and they aim to please. Made a reservation for a Friday night at dinner. We were greeted promptly upon arrival by the kind hostess who seated us. The inside of the restaurant is simple but still very nice. Our server was quick to arrive at our table to check if wanted to place drink orders. They do not serve beer and wine, however, it is BYOB so we brought our own wine to enjoy with our meal. Our server then brought out wine glasses and bottled waters for us. The food was fabulous, fresh, and fast! We started with an order of the samosas which were nice and hot. Then for dinner we had the chicken korma with rice, garlic naan, roti, and a side of raita. All of which were delicious and so fresh. Back in Charlotte for the weekend. I had a chance to visit this Location, with a couple of friends, who consider this one of their favorite restaurants, and I definitely see why. Really nice restaurant with a very chill vibe. I had the korma and substituted goat at a spice level of seven and man, when I tell you, it was one of the best dishes I've had in a while, I wouldn't be lying. Really good stuff. Honestly the best Indian food I've ever had. I always get the butter chicken with garlic naan and it is so so good. The naan is so fluffy and soft. Definitely my go to place for Indian dishes. This is ok Nepali food and has a moderate amount of spiciness (not heat), that gives it authenticity. Heat wise, it is pretty mild, even at their 10+ rating. However, I will not claim it is mind-blowing and the Naan I had was a little well-done and crispy. Overall, it is decent enough food, but it didn't really shock me with flavor. The lamb was a little chewy, but not well-done chewy. I probably would have been better getting the chicken, even the server advised that. I have had Indian food all around the world and I would say by Charlotte standards the place is decent, but the flavors don't phase me like what I had at Indian restaurants in the Pacific Northwest, Canada, or other places I have been with a larger Indian food scene. I will say it was a first time and maybe I need to try another curry or ask for lesser cooked Naan if I eat here again. I generally prefer Roti, but not many restaurants in Charlotte can cook it well and it is usually overdone as well. They told me their Naan was better, so I ordered it, but it was too overcooked for my taste. read more

Great food, BUT DO NOT DINE IN. In total, definitely not worth what you pay. Drink selection is more or less non-existent. It took 20 minutes for someone to come and take our drink order (bottled waters and sodas were the only option). There is only one table capable of seating more than 4 people (we had 2 adults and 4 kids). Even though the restaurant wasn't full, no plates or silverware were set out for 4 of our 6. When we asked for plates, they told us they were "out of plates." The food, while wonderful to the taste, was brought out at random times. The ambiance is pretty basic...since they only had one 6 seater table and it was already taken, they split our party into two booths, which were not large enough to hold the serving dishes. Tables were not cleared as the meal went on, so there was lots of clutter and no room to really relax and enjoy ourselves. read more

Definitely the best Indian food I have had 100% recommend. Buttered chicken and tikka masala 10/10 just make sure whatever you get is a low spice level, they ask 1-10 and level 4 had my nose running and mouth on fire and I'm usually pretty good with spicy foods. Recommend 2 is perfect. read more

We are very excited to have a place for a tiki marsala in the Arboretum. The service was great. They were very helpful in understanding the different dishes and spice levels. We got the mild butter chicken (left) and lamb tiki marsala at a 6 spicy. They came with the giant box of jasmine rice. We also ordered the chicken fried rice and the donuts. I went there Friday night to dine in. It was pretty empty but plenty of people stopped by for takeout. We ordered samosas, chicken tikka masala (spice level 5), special biryani (spice level 5), and garlic naan. Everything was delicious but sooooooo spicy. I've never had such a spicy samosa before in my life. The waitress asked me to confirm my spice level and said 5 was medium. It was so spicy I could only eat a couple of bites. It was delicious but spicy. And those were the most uncomfortable booths I have ever sat in. The backs were straight up and it was so awkward to sit at the table. We were extremely happy to find a good Indian restaurant nearby. We have our favorites in Fort mill, but we felt right at home here. The lamb curry was fantastic. It had great aroma, and the meat was very tender and savory. The spice chart I picked a 4 and that was a happy about to balance the spice and sweetness. The samosas were good, but cold -- not just room temperature, but refrigerator-cold inside. The biryani special, with 65 on top, was delicious (and spicy, even at level 4!). The waitresses were pleasant, but seemed busy, and never asked us how the food was, so we never said anything about the samosas. Absolutely delicious Indian food in a very convenient spot in the arboretum. I ordered the butter chicken at an 8 spice level and the samosas at 7 spice level. Both dishes were phenomenal and I loved the green dipping sauce with the samosas. Prices are very reasonable and portions are large enough to split between two people.
