I don't know. But let me tell you a little bit more about the decision you are about to make. My first ever waxer relocated to a whole another state and I was lost for sometime. I tried to become a regular for European Wax but their service and work did not mix well with me. I am currently located at #AspenHills #Rockville and I started looking for waxers. Wanting to find a place that feels like home and a safe space to be reborn every other 4-6 weeks. When I found Magdalen's page, the reviews automatically got my attention and decided to book being that she was 13-15 min away. The BEST decision I've made all year. When you enter, this particular smell that its so deliciously delicate welcomes you. Warning, in the beginning you will be confused and nervous because her method is so different from what everyone else is doing. But trust me when I say that it's less painful and more effective. I have thick hair and it grows really fast but after my first visit with Magdalen I noticed about only 60% of my hair growing back. Which is crazy for the amount of hair I used to grow with the other waxer. She warned me about growing less hair and less pain but you just have to book for the experience and for finding a home. I requested my usual gel pedicure but added a cat eye shimmer. It didn't seem like something she was used to doing, but the tech next to her helped and it came out perfect :) The ladies I was sitting next to even complimented them. It looked so pretty and the entire process was enjoyable. She took her time with shaping each nail and made sure my feet were smooth and moisturized. The owner, Aleyda, is the one who is doing hair styling on clients. When I walked in, she was very warm and welcoming, wanting to know more about me as a person as well! I love that she also shared her life stories with me. I told her I had a date later in the evening, and she knew exactly what hairstyle would look good on me! She washed my hair and blowed dried it into these curls. I'm usually a little tender headed, and she made sure I was comfortable at each step! When I inquired about her experience, Aleyda mentioned she has been doing this unprofessionally for 10 years, ended up working at a salon for someone else, and decided to pursue her passion of creating her own business. She informed me she studied artistic styling in California, has done hair styles for wedding, and hopes to venture more into lash application and sugaring. I really appreciate that they still offer a basic pedicure for $30 because I didn't need all the luxurious extras this time around. What I received was indeed a basic pedicure, and my feet are the better for it. It was a weekday morning so I was able to walk in and only wait 15 minutes. Be aware that they do charge a 3% fee if you use a credit card, but for me it only amounted to .90 cents.

This place got good reviews so I booked an appointment at the Eastern Market location since it's near the place I'm staying. The night prior, they called and asked if I'd be willing to go to the Dupont Circle location instead so that the technician could fit in more appointments. It was annoying, but not a huge deal. I was getting lash removal & a new set of classic/hybrid lashes. I've been getting eyelash extensions for 13 years and this is by far the worst experience I've ever had. They were thin, whispy, pre-made fans that were poorly glued onto only some of my lashes. They started falling off almost immediately, and there were visible white clumps of glue that a friend pointed out because she thought I had crumbs on my eyes. One week later when I went to another eyelash studio, they couldn't even tell I had any extensions on until they put me under the lights. I would've been better off just curling my own lashes & using mascara because mine are thicker & longer than whatever they used. I've never had such poor quality.
