My husband and I were so excited to discover Taber's mini golf. Who knew that Auburn, ME was such a mecca for mini golf, with both Roy's and Taber's within 5 min of each other?!? (For the record, both are great in their own unique ways, and they combine to make an excellent day trip to Auburn). We came to Taber's on a Saturday evening and it definitely was busy - it seemed to be all locals as opposed to tourists, as the parking lot was 100% Maine license plates. Even with the slight crowds, we still didn't have to wait too long on any given hole, and we were able to use the extra time to soak in all the cool sights of this mini golf course. The mini golf course is beautifully maintained (not gonna lie, I LOVE a nicely manicured mini golf course where the greens are in tip-top shape), with lots of carvings of animals sprinkled across the course to set the scene. They even had a cute little fairy garden around one of the holes! The best part though was that, at around hole 9, you get an *epic* view - I'm so glad we came here around sunset, as we ended up getting some beautiful pics of our group with the lake in the background. It truly is an exceptional property, with a HUGE lawn and a driving range as well. This is one of those mini golf courses that will please both the serious golfers (the greens are so nicely maintained that the course feels fair if you want to have a competition within your group) and newbies (plenty of variety across the holes to keep things interesting for all). After mini golf, we grabbed a bite here as well. While we originally ate here because of the convenience (we worked up quite an appetite after 18 holes!), we were pleasantly surprised by the food. The hot dog was A++ (I am kind of a hot dog snob...), the fries were hot and shoe-string style (basically like an upgraded version of McDonalds - and I mean this as a compliment!), and the grilled cheese was perfect (I think this is the first time I've ever seen a round grilled cheese!). The food prices really can't be beat either. My husband and I have visited 100+ mini golf courses across the country, and this little spot in Auburn, Maine really impressed us and ranks high on our list of best mini golf courses in Maine. read more

If you want to know where the locals hide, look no further. Anytime it's not raining out, you'll arrive to a parking lot filled with vehicles and you'll find families bustling about. Tip - order your food and start your game of mini golf. You can take a break when your food is ready and it lessens the wait. The food is good and greasy. There's something special about their burgers. Sure, they use pre-made patties (I believe they order fresh), regular burger buns and fixings, but the taste is unique to Tabers. Don't pass up the onion rings? They are breaded with a nice thick beer batter dough - so they're also shareable. The food is costly. It always surprises me when I have to fork over $40-50 to feed 3-4 people (and we bring our own drinks). But... the location is amazing. They have a huge lot overlooking Lake Auburn and an overflow space across the road. I'm sure their prices are fair when you consider the property and overhead. Finish your game of mini golf and then go enjoy an ice cream from their stand. We also like to skip around the course. If you find those pesky groups of 8 people breaking the laws of society and taking a tremendous of time to complete each hole, just go around! We just found this place this year and we love it . The view is great and the food is incredible . I love little places like this and it did not let me down . Everything was very fresh and delicious . We have left Maine and moved away but we ate here three times before we left . I would highly recommend this little place on the side road so if you are in the Auburn/Lewiston area of Maine look up this place and stop by for a great cheeseburger or whatever you like . read more

Good memories from the past here. They have Mini golf, driving range, ice cream, burgers, onion rings and more. Our family gathered up here to sit around the picnic tables and go back in the past. We shared ice cream and rings and drove balls on a beautiful day and enjoyed the view. read more

This has always been a place that my family goes during the summer. We usually fun putting on the mini golf course and eating lunch. This is part of what makes up our summer traditions. Of course over the years things have been updated. The mini golf course has become bigger and better and the driving course has had face lifts. Small things along the way that always make us even more eager to go for the new year. This year however....this year is horrible! The prices have skyrocketed and the quality has good down. You can't even eat the food because it tastes like cardboard! You have to pay an arm and a leg for it....and now are forced to wait 30minutes. For a hotdog and a burger! My summer traditions are fading.... Each golf by golf ball. Don't waste your time... Sorry...I love small business, but this one needs even more of a face lift. read more

I walk up to the stand to return my clubs and redeem my free game if mini golf and they come up with a bullshit excuse on why they can't give me my free game. read more

Always fantastic food, great service with a smile and a family friendly atmosphere! The mini golf course is amazing since the upgrades, and I have enjoyed their glow in the dark mini golfing! I love being able to overlook the lake as you drive balls too, it makes for a really peaceful setting especially with the hitting of the balls and light chatter from people enjoying their time. 5/5 totally recommend! read more

This is a review solely for the mini golf course. We love coming to Taber's as a fun activity to do in the summer. The course overlooks the lake which is always nice to look at while mini golfing. There is plenty of parking as well. The course doesn't seem like it would be too challenging, but some holes can make you so frustrated. A plus about coming here is after the 18th hole they have another hole that if you get a hole in one, you get a free game of mini golf or free bucket of balls next time you go to play here. The only bad part is sometimes it gets overcrowded with people and you have long wait times for people in front of you to finish. That is not enough to deter us though, we will be back! read more

I have to give a star because you can't go any lower. Keep driving do not stop. Go three miles down the road to roys. I paid 2.00 for a tablespoon of coleslaw in which was not even good. Hotdog was dripping I. Grease. My girlfriend got a hamburger, it was still bloody and not cooked. The roll was hard as a rock. Ordered fries they forgot. No onion or relish on the hotdog they forgot that as well. I know it is a tourist trap but prices for the quality of food is really bad. I will not be back. read more

I got a peanut butter milkshake and it was not very good all the peanut butter was on the bottom and it did not taste good do not recommend.

My family and I are frequent customers for many many years. The view is amazing, the service is the best, they have the best lobster roll, their hotdogs are delicious! This is a place to go in the summer to hit buckets of golf balls, play mini golf, get ice cream, and eat fried foods. The onion rings are battered and crispy, but you can't eat too many because they are heavy and rich. The hamburgers and hot dogs are good. The clam cakes are pretty good. The French fries are not the best. Spending time here is a summer ritual. The driving range and mini golf have been updated and are very nice. read more
