Let's get the "negatives" right out of the way: ... now that that's over with, on to the positives: It's fast, it's diner food brought to your window, it's reasonably priced, our carhopesses were super friendly, the food was cooked perfectly. You guys, it's greasy, fast food- so don't come for me.. Yes- the parking lot is weird but just get in where you fit in, it's a horse shoe shape, if the first row is full, park behind someone- when they leave, you pull up to the front so someone else can scoot in behind you! Eaaaaasy peasy! Cash only, be nice to your carhops bc they're running around in the heat, and in typical Maine fashion, it'll be busy in the summer. Xoxo 10/10 would recommend.

Despite being only 35 years old, I actually really like drive INS. Yes I grew up with drive-thru, but my parents introduced me to many things from their generation that I still hold fondness for. Out looking for a family lunch, I decided a drive-in would be a good idea because my kids would probly be asleep by the time we got there. So off we went to the New place I discovered on Yelp. We pulled into a spot and parked and a waitress came over and put a tag on our windshield under the wiper. After looking at the menu, somewhat limited but covering all of the traditional bases, we flashed our lights as indicated for service. The waitress made clear that this place is CASH ONLY Several times to make sure nobody was confused. We were told that day was buy 1 get 1 hamburgers, so we each got our own with the toppings we prefer. The hamburgers were $3 and could not have been more than 1/8 of an inch thick. The taste was acceptable but I found the quality sub par. The poutine was incredibly salty and was essentially French fries with gravy and 4 chunks of cheese on top. $5 for a small order and I expect more than that. The Onion rings were overly greasy in my opinion, but I am sensitive to that. Well there are other things on the menu such as hot dogs to try, driving all the way to Lewiston is a far trip for us and if it had been worse it, we would return. This is not worth it in our opinion.

Been going here since I was a kid. Friendly smiling waitresses and fabulous root beer floats and hot dogs. You can always find a good weekly special. Their lobster rolls are excellent, too! Stop in and enjoy some great food , great pricesand service with a smile!

Great old school roadside burger joint. Had cheeseburger and fries along with trademark root beer float. Very tasty. Will definitely come back next time I'm in L-A.

The food was what I was expecting and hoping for....rich, indulgent food, that met my savory and sweet cravings. We were greeted immediately upon walking through the door and were instructed to sit any where we wanted. We had plenty to choose from around 10:30am on Saturday, even on a holiday weekend. All of the open tables, were clean and ready for new patrons. The restaurant was about half full and appeared to be mostly regulars, as they were chatting with the staff and each other. I love local places that know the locals that well. Our drink orders were taken within a minute of sitting. The hot chocolate were rich and creamy even without whipped cream. I opted not to have it added. I ordered a blueberry muffin as my "appetizer". They offer it as is, or grilled. I love it grilled and it was good and not too filling. For our meals we ordered a table pancake (meaning, a pancake for sharing). It was fluffy and perfectly good - nice and hot. They have "syrup" and it reminded me of being a kid and having Log Cabin syrup. I didn't ask, but it didn't taste like pure maple syrup. I ordered the corned beef hash skillet with a grilled english muffin. It was perfectly cooked and it was delicious. It tasted like canned corned beef hash and I was not mad about it. I truly wanted comfort food and this hit. My friend had the S.O.S. (gravy with beef and pork) AKA Sh*t on a Shingle. It looked soooo good and she stated the biscuit and gravy and meat were good. We took our leftovers home, which will tell you, the portions were decent, the food was delicious and no delicious food would be left behind. I recommend this restaurant if you are interested in diner food, with quick friendly service and plenty of space. I definitely want to come back and get the S.O.S.

The carpets are really in need of a good cleaning. The hostess was kind and welcoming and the waitress was timely and punctual with all provided services. The food was good. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms and barroom pretzels as appetizers. The mushrooms were well cooked and seasoned well. The pretzels were delicious and well cooked. For the main courses we orders the coconut shrimp with onion rings and the Boston Lobster pie with baked beans and sweet potato fries. The lunch portion of the coconut shrimp was well cooked and visually appealing. The lobster pie was a fair share and well cooked and topped with bread crumbs and soaked in butter.

I never really considered checking it out until my in-laws suggested we go for lunch one day. I always just saw the sign and kept on driving. Now, it is good... and as a bariatric patient, I am usually pretty hesitant to try new places simply because of my restrictions; however, I was pleased to find that there were options that worked for my post-op food plan. Yes, there's a lot of fried options, and there's a lot of pasta, but the stir-fry is what got me saying, "yeah I'll give it a go," and later, "yeah, I'd come back." The food has been consistent, and with a young child (who is a fantastic eater and not that picky... but still), that's huge for us. The service has always been great. They are accommodating, punctual, and friendly. Our most recent visit was extra impressive, because our server happily made sure to spend a little extra time and had so much patience with my five year old who is learning how to order for himself. Give it a go, friends. It's a pretty solid spot.

The free street parking right outside the restaurant was an unexpected and pleasant surprise. Just as surprising was the overpriced and just-okay food. I gotta say, both the inside and outside vibe of the place are a bit misaligned with the menu and food quality, and also the prices. We arrived at around noon and the menu unfortunately didn't look any breakfast items as they stopped those at 11am. Instead, our options were burgers, sandwiches, and dinner plates. The menu was quite extensive and creative -- it wasn't your typical diner menu (Asian noodles?!) -- but also, prices were steep for a place like this. A cheeseburger was $16+, with an extra $1 charge for tomato and onion. The sandwiches were more expensive and just included chips -- fries were an up-charge. Honestly, just the prices alone were a turn off. My burger -- I ordered the one with brie and jam on it -- was so underwhelming. Not even an exciting cheese like brie could save it. What a shame because it really did seem like such a cool spot!

We were given a 15 minute wait which was quickly cut to 5 minutes by a friendly front-of-house worker, but that was the end of the good experience. We were immediately given coffee and water, coffee is bottomless, but $2.50 and served before seeing the menu, which can be annoying if you're used to your diner coffee coming with breakfast. We both ordered the cheap breakfast combo, which was $10 + $2 additional charge for your choice of meat. Our eggs were undercooked, (runny whites) our toast was burnt, my hash-browns were cold and clearly from a freezer bag. My additional $2 earned me 2 very thin slices of bacon. We were not impressed by the food, but I was downright annoyed when the $24 bill I expected arrived at a smooth $32. In our bill they included a fun hidden 1% service fee for the "back of house" which I incorrectly assumed would not be needed considering the existence of payroll... To top off my frustrations the servers were loud behind the counter the whole time we were there, and the suggested tips on the receipt started at 20%!! - What an insult to the customers intelligence. These are Sysco scammers trying to take about 30% more than the customer wants to pay at every turn for extremely poor quality breakfast food. Should have cooked in the airBnB, would have saved money and had a more satisfying experience.
