Let's get the "negatives" right out of the way: ... now that that's over with, on to the positives: It's fast, it's diner food brought to your window, it's reasonably priced, our carhopesses were super friendly, the food was cooked perfectly. You guys, it's greasy, fast food- so don't come for me.. Yes- the parking lot is weird but just get in where you fit in, it's a horse shoe shape, if the first row is full, park behind someone- when they leave, you pull up to the front so someone else can scoot in behind you! Eaaaaasy peasy! Cash only, be nice to your carhops bc they're running around in the heat, and in typical Maine fashion, it'll be busy in the summer. Xoxo 10/10 would recommend.

Despite being only 35 years old, I actually really like drive INS. Yes I grew up with drive-thru, but my parents introduced me to many things from their generation that I still hold fondness for. Out looking for a family lunch, I decided a drive-in would be a good idea because my kids would probly be asleep by the time we got there. So off we went to the New place I discovered on Yelp. We pulled into a spot and parked and a waitress came over and put a tag on our windshield under the wiper. After looking at the menu, somewhat limited but covering all of the traditional bases, we flashed our lights as indicated for service. The waitress made clear that this place is CASH ONLY Several times to make sure nobody was confused. We were told that day was buy 1 get 1 hamburgers, so we each got our own with the toppings we prefer. The hamburgers were $3 and could not have been more than 1/8 of an inch thick. The taste was acceptable but I found the quality sub par. The poutine was incredibly salty and was essentially French fries with gravy and 4 chunks of cheese on top. $5 for a small order and I expect more than that. The Onion rings were overly greasy in my opinion, but I am sensitive to that. Well there are other things on the menu such as hot dogs to try, driving all the way to Lewiston is a far trip for us and if it had been worse it, we would return. This is not worth it in our opinion.

Been going here since I was a kid. Friendly smiling waitresses and fabulous root beer floats and hot dogs. You can always find a good weekly special. Their lobster rolls are excellent, too! Stop in and enjoy some great food , great pricesand service with a smile!

Val's front of restaurant. Great place.

Great old school roadside burger joint. Had cheeseburger and fries along with trademark root beer float. Very tasty. Will definitely come back next time I'm in L-A.

The cheesesteak definitely tasted like steakums, ya know that pre sliced stuff in the frozen section. The bus was too large for the amount of meat given, but the bread was good. The service was slow for how dead it was, the bartender was good for daytime service, nice guy, but I'd hate to see how that panned out on a busy night. Great space, nice decor, lighting, very clean. Lots of potential, several places have failed in this spot, hopefully they work the kinks out. (I didn't eat the other items pictured)

Fresh and hot defined these apps perfectly! The sticks were warm and stringy, the pretzels were warm, soft, and salty. The cheese dip was actually delicious and tasted nothing like a can mix. For the main courses we had the home made mac and cheese that was topped with pulled pork which was sauced in Sweet Baby Rays and the Loaded Nachos topped with the Firehouse's award winning chili. The food all came out sized for a table of 8 with savory and sweet hints of deliciousness! The waitress was welcoming, outgoing, and offered sound advice on food choices. The cook staff was timely and efficient, and the bar tender was busy busy slinging cups full of the nectar of God (BEER!!)! The Firehouse House ambience lived up to the name with firefighter equipment, first responder memorabilia, and crafty decor. The only downside to this establishment is that is dark and throws a dive bar vibe. 9/10... we will be coming back here for sure (and ordering less food)!!

Apps Asparogi Avvolti: Prosciutto wrapped asparagus with fontina cheese and balsamic glaze. Sweet young asparagus, wrapped in salty prosciutto with nutty fontina melted over the topped, drizzled with the perfect about if sweet glaze. Fried Calamari: calamari, fried cherry peppers, arugula, and cherry pepper aïoli. Fresh, breading was light and crispy. My only complaint here is there weren't enough tentacles, a lot of rings. Our waitress never once checked on us--we had to flag her down every single time, which made ordering drinks and food a chore rather than a relaxing night out. But honestly, the worst part of the night wasn't even the service. It was the fact that a couple brought their newborn to the bar and stayed from 8 PM to midnight. With loud music blasting, they passed the baby around and parade it around on the dance floor, never feeding the child once, but had no problem changing it on the air hockey table. It was disturbing to watch, and frankly, it made the entire atmosphere uncomfortable. A bar is no place for a newborn, especially late at night in that kind of environment. The only saving grace of the night was the band, Trans Am--they were absolutely phenomenal. They put on a great performance, but unfortunately, the energy in the bar was completely off. Nobody was dancing or really engaging with the music, which was a shame because they deserved a much better crowd. If management allows this kind of thing to happen, I don't see myself coming back.
