Woah, I'm shocked that the other people on yelp didn't have a lovely, incredible time here. This was honestly the best meal we had in Lisbon, and probably in my entire 3-week trip in Europe. I'm going to remember it for the rest of my life. Our appetizers were unique and delicious - pickled roasted peppers, the most delicious olives ever. Our wine was affordable and perfectly paired. We ordered the Dourada, and it was cooked perfectly with some crispy skin but flakey, moist fish. There were little bits of shredded orange and carmelized onions on top that took it to a whole other level. It was a great fresh fish dish that I want to say only cost 12 euro.
For dessert, they had very unique desserts, too. I know they had strawberries and pineapples from the azores, which our host assured us were the best places to acquire these things. They were fresh and flavorful, and probably way more healthy than traditional fatty desserts.
Our host was helpful and attentive, and we were welcomed to stay as long as we liked. It had a romantic ambiance and some little tables on the street that felt very atmospheric. Another reviewer mentioned that the street was shabby, which I didn't feel at all. It's a 2 minute walk down from a trolley stop near Cathedral Se, and then another 5 minutes down to the waterfront. The street has a few other restaurants and was romantic to me, and still felt very safe.
I hope you have as wonderful a time as we had! read more
