Came here for Xinjiang / Uighur food and was very pleasantly surprised! This place is super authentic and everything we ordered tasted delicious (far superior to that place on Rathburn). In fact, I'd encourage you to make reservations as it got super packed! We started off with some lamb buns and sweet milk tea. The traditional milk tea version is salty but we opted for the sweet one (more a personal preference). The lamb buns were gamey and, when dipped in the vinegary spicy soy sauce, was extremely flavourful. Then came the lamb skewers which were very yummy and tender. Tastes strongly of cumin and chili, but delicious! We then shared two mains - the pilaf with lamb shank and the big plate chicken. The chicken was good - I particularly enjoyed the big ribbon noodles. They were thick, chewy, and caught the sauce nicely. Alas, I found a piece of pepper that was slightly rotting and so removed it. My favourite, however, was the pilaf. The rice had a thin layer of grease / fat coating each grain, and very al dente. I couldn't stop myself! A very satisfying and filling meal! Would definitely come again, though it's quite out of the way.

Amazing experience -- every dish was flavourful and aromatic. Ambience of the restaurant was nice and the service was great too.

The restaurant's interior is decorative and shows the culture, and the service is great. There was a power outage in the neighbourhood on our first visit. The owner gave Lamb Baked Buns free of charge for apologies. We visited again, the food is excellent, super large plate. We gave extra tips for kindness and great services.

Ta'am Cuisine is situated in a small neighborhood in a quieter area of Mississauga. There's not many Xinjiang restaurants in Mississauga so this was nice to see. We came here for dinner at 7 and was surprised to see only a pair of customers sitting inside. I was particularly worried as the lack of customers during a dinner peak hour was a red flag for a restaurant. Nonetheless, my partner wanted to try it so we head in. Not a big fan of the restaurant decor. The walls were decorated nicely and music was playing in the backgroundm. Everything else on the floor though was pretty overwhelming. After being seated, we were given a one-page menu that featured a small handful of main course options. Actually, there were only 6 entrees. A large majority of the entrees were dried noodles and there was another option of rice. We opted for the Big Plate Chicken and lamb skewers. Took roughly half an hour for our order to be presented despite being the only ones in the restaurant to actually cook for. While we were waiting, we were served a bowl of soup with a plastic takeout spoon. The couple size of the chicken entree was easily enough for 2 people. However, we found that there was not enough noodles and we were left with mostly bone-in chicken and potatoes. On the other hand, our lamb skewers were mildly disappointing. For $12 for 3 small skewers they better be darn good since they are the MOST EXPENSIVE lamb skewers I've ever seen! But no, the skewers lacked seasoning and was underwhelming. If you want to try better lamb skewers, I would suggest finding other restaurants in Toronto such as the Chinese Halal Restaurant which has more affordable and better tasting skewers. Our bill came to a whopping $50 for a shared entree and an appetizer. Very expensive in my opinion in comparison to what you'll be getting. I'm sure there are other options and restaurants that pop into my mind first before visiting Ta'am Cuisine again.

Hidden gem! Had a wonderful dinner tonight and looking forward to visiting again on our next trip in town. The service and team were incredibly friendly, the food was fantastic, and the setting was very comfortable and welcoming. Delicious!

delicious food, ambiance awsm taste was delicious recommend everyone to visit taam cuisine

They were quite busy with takeout orders which I took as a good sign. We ordered the Beef Sirloin Noodles level spicy and numb(4/5), Breaded Shrimp (5/5) Seafood Fried Rice (4/5) and Lamb Skewers (4/5). Beef Sirloin Noodles were delicious. The broth itself was not overly salty compared to other places we've been to. I enjoyed the addition of peanuts to this dish for that extra crunchy texture and nutty taste. The noodles were cooked perfectly. They were bouncy and chewy. The beef itself was good. Some were a tad bit chewy. I wish there was more bok choy. We'd also opt for extra spicy and extra numb next time. Breaded Shrimp was enjoyable. You can't go wrong with this dish. It was crispy, and the batter to shrimp ratio was decent. Seafood Fried Rice was good as well. Again, we liked how it wasn't overly salty. We were able to sense the taste of the seafood. I wish they added more scallops since we only got two pieces in the whole dish. Lamb Skewers were satisfying flavour-wise. We really liked the seasoning on them. It was on the chewier side but it was manageable. We'd like to try their other skewer options next time. Overall, such a good spot for affordable and delicious food. I'm glad my family recommended this place. I'd like to point out that a customer was being problematically entitled and rude yet the female server stayed professional. I thought she handled the situation quite calmly which I wanna commend her for. P.S. The restaurant has a sign on their door saying not to bring pets inside. So please read this and try not to bring your pet inside to avoid looking entitled and rude.

This location is on the small side and the seating is quite limited. That said, whenever we come here Sunday afternoons, we never have trouble getting tables during walk-ins. The staff is always attentive and we never have to wait for much long for the food to come. They always ask you if you want water or tea. Usually also get a bowl of seaweed soup with your order (per person) though this time around we didn't get any. We ordered a lot for dinner. For appetizers, we ordered the braised pork pan-fried buns, which were amazing. The bun was really fluffy, and the filling was flavourful and just the right amount of juicy. We also had chive pork dumplings. These were also good, though I admit I prefer the pan-fried ones. In particular, our dumplings came out kind of gummy. We had some scallion pancakes which were nice and crispy, and very flavourful. Then, some dried beancurd sticks that were just the right amount of spiciness. Do keep in mind the beancurd sticks are cold (it surprised me the first time I had it). Finally, we had some honey garlic chicken wings. They fry their chicken wings really well, and they don't overdo the sauce which is great. We did have trouble fitting all of this on the table since we ordered so much. We managed, but just keep this in mind if you like to order a lot of appetizers. We each ordered a main. My boyfriend had the lemongrass chicken with egg on rice, which he enjoyed. I also enjoyed my Taiwanese braised pork. My pork dish was amazing and they cooked the egg really well. The portions here are very generous, and because it's affordable, I always recommend dropping by for some good Chinese food.

The space here is definitely smaller but seating was still very comfortable. Ordering is done via QR code through phone. The staff was friendly and service was quick and prompt. I do want to say that their pricing is very fair and reasonable. There is also free parking in front of the restaurant. I was missing my time in Taiwan so I ordered the Taiwanese Braised Pork and Egg on rice. We also ordered Pumpkin Pie with Red Bean Filling, stir-fried rice noodles with bean sprouts, Juicy Chinese Pork Burger, and their Juicy Cheese Beef Burger. Everything was quite good especially the Chinese Pork Burger. The outer shell was so crispy and the pork meat was so juicy and was seasoned just right. The Taiwanese Braised Pork rice was good but definitely not as good as in Taiwan lol. Also, if coming here, you have to try their signature pan fried buns. That is what they are known for. We didn't order it this time because we've had it a bunch of times already. Overall, this restaurant always hits. It's not the most amazing food but like the name suggest, It is very home style comfort food.

I was hoping to find something special on the menu. The Peking duck caught my eye at around $70, but then I discovered that almost everything else was extra--lettuce wraps, stir-fried duck meat, fried rice, and soup. By the time you add the extras, the bill is easily another $50 or more, bringing the total to well over $120. We decided to pass, and judging from the dishes we did order, that was probably the right decision. The hot and sour soup had plenty of heat and tang but lacked depth of flavor and was under-seasoned for my taste. Fortunately, we only ordered a small bowl. The deep-fried tofu was bland and forgettable. The stir-fried shrimp was acceptable but nothing special. The biggest disappointment was the sweet and sour pork. I specifically asked the server to make sure the pork was crispy, but it arrived soft and lumpy rather than light and crunchy. Even the complimentary red bean dessert soup was watery and lacked flavor. Our bill came to about $104 for two people. For the quality of the food, I didn't feel it offered good value. Sadly, after several disappointing visits, I don't think we'll be returning.

They even serve duck and lobster, although I have yet to try. The interior is quite welcoming and feels like a very old-school Chinese restaurant. The service is incredibly quick and they make sure to take your orders quickly, so if possible, try to look at the menu ahead of time or have an idea of what you want. We placed our orders and they gave us a nice hearty soup for free. It was a nice surprise. This time around, we ordered sauteed scallops, beef with Maggi sauce, and the Yeung Chow fried rice. Everything was excellent. The rice had amazing flavour, and I like any sort of fried rice that combines meat and seafood so that was a plus. The scallops were also cooked really well. The beef with Maggi sauce was the star for me. Salty and savoury and the mushrooms and onions go so well with it. I would recommend it if you like an intense salty flavour. They also gave us a red bean porridge for desert. It was just fine for me but it was complementary so I can't complain. Overall, an amazing place to have Chinese food and super affordable as well. The portions are quite generous so you'll definitely get your money's worth.
