Green beans with pork, chilli chicken with no bone, XO sauce turnip patties
    James Y.

My family's go-to Chinese restaurant in Mississauga. Always friendly service whenever we come here and great flavours from the food. The spicy dishes pack a good kick, so it's a good way to test your spice tolerance. Typical go-tos for my family: -Chilli chicken: really crispy bite sized pieces and really good spice -XO turnip patties: good spice and umami -green beans with minced pork: very traditional way of cooking it, never disappoints -noodles of some variety: can't go wrong with the vermicelli or the ho fan, toppings just depend on preference

My family and I do enjoy China Impressions! The restaurant is located near Golden Square, perfect lunch/dinner spot after some chinese groceries. The restaurant itself is relatively big compared to the ones in the area. Now for the food...We always get the fried beef noodles. It's such a yummy dish full of "wok air" which is important for Chinese food. The dish is flavorful and the noodles are cooked with the perfect chewiness. I also really enjoy the dishes with the preserved vegetables, whether it is with fish or pork/tofu, it's such an appetizing and satisfying dish. If you like wraps, do try their mu shu pork! I recently tried their steamed rice with chicken and mushroom. This dish is quite delicious and loaded with mushroom but make sure you're not in a hurry because this item takes 25+ mins. Otherwise all their other menu items do come out quite quickly!

Great (relatively) new place! Think it's the same chefs/owners as Bashu at Hurontario and Eglinton. The seating is spacious, space is well lit with nice chandeliers. I've been there for lunch and dinner and the portions are huge! The other night we went for a casual family dinner and stumbled upon some new favourites. We usually order the pan fried pork chops, but decided to go for the egg yolk crusted one and it did not disappoint! The pork was tender, the topping was well seasoned. I wish I can duplicate it at home! The lemon chicken was juicy and not too sour. The sweet and sour pork was my least favorite as the meat pieces were dry and hard, even with the red sauce all over it. The noodle dish was a hit (it's our staple) and remember to ask for their special hot sauce! Think it's some sort of bean paste hot sauce. The fried rice was colourful and had quite a few shrimps. We didn't order the dumplings as it was dinner, but we usually get those at lunch time. I can't wait to go back to try more items on their menu

CIGARETTE BUTT IN MY HOT AND SOUR SOUP
    Aydee N.

DO NOT EAT HERE!!! I ordered a small hot and sour soup for takeout. As I was drinking the soup, I asked my boyfriend if it tastes like they burnt the soup. I decided to keep eating it and next thing I know, I bite down into a CIGARETTE BUTT (picture for reference). I am DISGUSTED. Sick to my stomach.. I bit into someone else's USED CIGARETTE BUTT and all the juices oozed into my mouth.. that nasty cigarette ash taste is still in my mouth.. This restaurant clearly does not go through proper food safety procedures especially with the current COVID situation! DO NOT EAT HERE!!UNBELIEVABLE!!!

I'm surprised this restaurant doesn't have at least a solid 4 star rating in Yelp. It is located in a strip mall in Mississauga. You order via iPads that have photos of each dish and you can switch languages seamlessly mid-order, which worked well for my Chinese / English family. Portions and value are great here. The small size hot and sour soup would be considered a large at many restaurants and served 6 of us 2 portions each. All of the dishes we ordered tasted great, although we didn't venture far off the classics to find a standout. I am definitely looking forward to coming back to try more and to be more adventurous with the chilli dishes.

    Braised beef with turnip

Great place! I recommend you to try their beef and lamb, every dish was fresh and had their own unique taste. Waitress is fast, interior is nicely done. I give four stars because it's a little pricy (above average in the area)

Excellent Chinese sichuan food located in Mississauga, creditview and burhamhthorpe. The exterior of the restaurant is not fancy at all and the interior deco is average. It is the food that really attracted the customers. If you like spicy food, this is a restaurant to try.

The restaurant is very quiet and spacious when we came by for dinner on a weekday. They offer iPad ordering service which is great as you can see a photo of what you'll expect to be getting. It is definitely a large menu and everything looks delicious! Lots of spicy Chinese food if you're a big fan. Ordered a spicy chicken pot and a cumin beef. Both were equally appealing and delicious to eat. The cumin beef was slightly underwhelming in cumin flavour in accordance to my taste however. Would definitely come by another time to try some more dishes!

Mixed beef with hot sauce ($11.50)

Location/Service: I've been here twice now with my family to try out this new restaurant. Word has it that it is opened by the same owner as Bashu at Hurontario/Eglinton since the menu is very similar and they also take orders via an ipad! I love technology and I love it when restaurants use tech/paperless options to take orders. It allows me to remove things and order dishes at my own pace. It also lets me see the total bill so I know I have enough cash at the end! All restaurants seriously need to adapt to this concept!! This particular restaurant is situated right next to Hawaiian Bakery. To be honest, you wouldn't know that there's a restaurant there unless you heard it from someone. This location has been empty (or at least not restaurant owned) for such a LONG time. The staff there are pleasant. They get things done quickly, whether it be cleaning up the tables or getting enough chairs/plates/chopticks for you. The restaurant is quite big too so there's a lot of space between tables. Food: From the two visits, some of the things we ordered were: 1. Sesame Pancake with Beef ($7.95) - this was alright, it wasn't the best sesame pancake that I ever had. I wouldn't order this again. 2. Mixed beef with Hot sauce ($11.50) - this is an appetizer and it is pretty good. It has a lot of meat and great as a starter. I don't think other places have this kind of dish. 3. Braised beef handmade noodle hot soup ($9.99) - This is probably the best dish of the night. In fact, we loved it so much the first time we went that we ordered it again the second time. It isn't too spicy, and it is a HUGE bowl of handmade noodles that really warms your soul when you eat it in super cold water. I really enjoy this beef brisket bowl. This is also my family's favourite. 4. Sichuan Wonton with Garlic Sauce ($7.99) - This is wayyyy too spicy for my liking. The wontons are small and comes in a puddle of oily spicy sauce. I think the main point of the dish is the chili sauce. My family really liked the dish and used the chili oil for other noodle dishes. If you like spicy food, like those that make your lips and tongue numb, this will for sure hit the spot. 5. Sh-port with sweet Peking sauce ($13.99) - Nothing special about this dish. Better to order it at Cantonese restaurant. Overall, the price is good. I would definitely come back to try other dishes, like the stews and the hot pot!

Chow mein, fried wontons, and deep fried squid!
    Jenny H.

The food tastes amazingly delicious! And they have deep fried squid that most restaurants don't have. I'm very pleased with their Cantonese chow mein, my favourite menu item. I'm looking forward to trying more dishes!

    Fish in the ceramic pot.
    Bryan L.

We visited this restaurant again a few days ago, the quality of the foods was well maintained. We ordered the combo, it said to serve 4 to 6 people but we had 4 only. As a result, we had to pack two big dishes home. The fish in the ceramic pot is a must try, but it is more expensive if you order it separately.

    very tasteless
    Canada JOe L.

+ Good decor Bright light - tasteless food poor ingredients My wife and I went to China Impression tonight. For me, this was the worst Chinese food I had in last 5 years. The beef dish I ordered was completely tasteless. I think the cook forgot to put any salt. Besides no salt, barely any flavor was detectable. We also ordered the curry chow fun, and it was the worst chow fun I had. The tofu fish dish was terrible as well. The mushroom tasted very dated, past expiration and the fish they put into the dish was bony and very fishy. This was by far the worst dining experience in so far as Chinese food is concerned in Mississauga. The restaurant is brightly lit and clean so it looks tempting. But those of you who are willing to dare, remember I warned you. I will wager a bet that this place will not last 24 months. This was by far the worst Chinese food I tasted in Mississauga. BB

They were quite busy with takeout orders which I took as a good sign. We ordered the Beef Sirloin Noodles level spicy and numb(4/5), Breaded Shrimp (5/5) Seafood Fried Rice (4/5) and Lamb Skewers (4/5). Beef Sirloin Noodles were delicious. The broth itself was not overly salty compared to other places we've been to. I enjoyed the addition of peanuts to this dish for that extra crunchy texture and nutty taste. The noodles were cooked perfectly. They were bouncy and chewy. The beef itself was good. Some were a tad bit chewy. I wish there was more bok choy. We'd also opt for extra spicy and extra numb next time. Breaded Shrimp was enjoyable. You can't go wrong with this dish. It was crispy, and the batter to shrimp ratio was decent. Seafood Fried Rice was good as well. Again, we liked how it wasn't overly salty. We were able to sense the taste of the seafood. I wish they added more scallops since we only got two pieces in the whole dish. Lamb Skewers were satisfying flavour-wise. We really liked the seasoning on them. It was on the chewier side but it was manageable. We'd like to try their other skewer options next time. Overall, such a good spot for affordable and delicious food. I'm glad my family recommended this place. I'd like to point out that a customer was being problematically entitled and rude yet the female server stayed professional. I thought she handled the situation quite calmly which I wanna commend her for. P.S. The restaurant has a sign on their door saying not to bring pets inside. So please read this and try not to bring your pet inside to avoid looking entitled and rude.

Their menu seems to be the same for all locations, the only difference being the price, all locations potentially the same other than the downtown location. See their website: https://www.congeequeen.com/menu.php and select your location. It has been a while since we have eaten at the Congee Queen outside of the Toronto (Dundas/Yonge) location, so we were a bit surprised at the price difference (8-10% difference). This location (Heartland Town Center) feels like it has the right price for the menu. With cash, you also get a 10% discount. We were here on a Wednesday for an early dinner around 15:30 - 17:00 and it was about medium full for the main area. People were coming and going at a good pace. For our group of four, we ordered: - B3 Salmon Congee $11 ($12 downtown) - H11 Chicken Salted Fish Fried Rice $18.25 ($19.75 downtown) - K34 Fried Bean Curd with Veggie $19.50 ($21.50 downtown) - K42 Salt and Pepper Squid $16.50 ($18.25 downtown) - K53 Fried Chili Turnip Cakes $13.75 ($15.00 downtown) Service was a bit slow, but not the longest as there were only 2-3 staff taking orders that day for about 15-20 tables. If you signaled for assistance, they will come. Once ordered thought, the food came out in about 5 mins and all the dishes were ready soon after. Tea is refilled on request, just ask. As usual, the fried rice and congee is what they are known for, it was excellent as usual. Depending on the group you go with, YMMV, but for our order combination, this usually works comes out at the same time and everything is hot and tasty. The turnip cakes are the softer type and they even accommodated checking for shrimp. They are usually good about seafood checks. All in all, great experience. With the discount and tips all in, it was less than $100 total at $25 per person. It has been a while since we've eaten out with a group at that price point. Will keep in mind to meetup at any of the non downtown locations in future.

The ones here were among the best if not the best I've ever had. They are delivered to your table seconds from being in the fryer and are crisp, not oily and so light. Yes smaller than the standard, but just so good. 2.99 an order, order 2! They even have gluten cumin spiced skewers, and I have to tell you, they were delicious. I was missing my time in Taiwan so I ordered the Taiwanese Braised Pork and Egg on rice. We also ordered Pumpkin Pie with Red Bean Filling, stir-fried rice noodles with bean sprouts, Juicy Chinese Pork Burger, and their Juicy Cheese Beef Burger. Everything was quite good especially the Chinese Pork Burger. The outer shell was so crispy and the pork meat was so juicy and was seasoned just right. The Taiwanese Braised Pork rice was good but definitely not as good as in Taiwan lol. Also, if coming here, you have to try their signature pan fried buns. That is what they are known for. We didn't order it this time because we've had it a bunch of times already. Overall, this restaurant always hits. It's not the most amazing food but like the name suggest, It is very home style comfort food.

I've lived in Toronto, Durham, Peel and I can definitely say its been the hardest to find goood late night greasy Chinese food here in the Port Credit end of Mississauga. I'm still on the hunt! Customer service here was great. I called asked a few questions, than went in and grabbed a menu and went back to my car. Called over the phone and ordered she didn't know it was me and asked if i knew where they were located which was nice. So My order was General tao chicken ( we usually get chilli chicken but don't like it dry, prefer the sauced up spicy, so this is the equivalent at some places), chicken balls, chicken fried rice, and chicken wings. The total was about 40$, which is fair and the portions were alot less to what I was used to. The general tao chicken was not even a little bit spicy, even though she said it was so that was disappointing. On top of that the breaded part of the chicken was extremely soggy and the plate was full of soggy over cooked veggies underneath. the chicken wings were fried and greasy tasted great and well seasoned. Just not like what I'd usually get from a Chinese take out place as it just looked different the way it was breaded and fried. The rice was in a really small container w under cooked pieced of chicken that was very slimy and white and the rice was very bland. I had to overkill w soy sauce and bit of red sauce. Lastly the chicken balls of course 80% balls 20% chicken but tasted fine, just nothing special. I mean it was cheap and last minute but i definitely feel like i would not have ordered here if i had known cheap or not. They have alot to improve on or mayb they are better at making other items listed in reviews from others. Not sure how they have 5 stars. but hey to each their own right!
