    Brisket noodle soup

Hidden Gem - Chinese Food We absolutely love Fancy Kitchen for Chinese food - it's always at the top of our list. Whether we're eating in or taking out, we always make sure to order from there. Their portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable. Not to mention, the quality of their food is always good. Also, the environment is clean and friendly staff. Recently, we decided to try their lunch combo, which is an amazing deal since it comes with a drink. We ordered two bowls of their famous brisket noodle soup, stir-fried noodles with beef, and their salty fish with chicken fried rice. We always get the brisket noodle soup because the beef is braised until it's soft, tender, and packed with flavor. It was definitely a highlight of the meal. The stir-fried noodles with beef were also a hit - the beef was so tender and not too oily. We also tried the salty fish with chicken fried rice, it was so tasty and delicious!

3.5* rounded up for service, newer, clean interior First, Mississauga isn't known for their Chinese food and I don't really dine-in/out here often - at least not Chinese food - so I can't speak to how Fancy Kitchen ranks, but it was ok. I didn't see the kitchen itself, but the dining room is newer looking, brightly lit, and it was WARM. Servers were patient. Menu consists of standard Cantonese dishes and there was a Lunch Menu, Rice, Noodles in Soup, etc. There was even a section were you can order 3 dishes for $38 and that's not bad! It was definitely enough for 3-4ppl, np. Prices were reasonable, cheaper than Congee Queen. We ordered: Sweet & Sour Fish, Beef Brisket Curry, & 1/2 of a Crispy Skin Chicken. Everything 'cept the Chicken rolled out pretty quick! For the Sweet & Sour dish, it was good that they had a non-pork option as most Chinese restaurants seem to only carry this dish with pork. Beef Brisket, was fine. Chicken was tender - not dry - but it didn't come with the salt/white pepper dipping side. If I'm being picky, the additions like chopped onion/sweet peppers were more or less raw in the stir fried dishes. And esp in the Sweet & Sour dish, there was quite a bit of onion, so that was too jarring to eat. Otherwise, everything was OK.

New hole in the wall Chinese place in Mississauga was recommended by my Dad's friend, and it didn't disappoint! If you're looking for a reasonably priced, authentic Chinese restaurant, this is it. Food came quickly and the only issue we had was a language barrier. We ordered the lobster combo which came with soup, sweet and sour chicken, free run chicken, and bok choy. We ordered an eggplant and pork dish that was supposed to come with noodles, after talking to them we got crispy noodles underneath it. It's loud and busy as it should be, and the interior is decorated in a modern way.

Deep fried shrimp in salted egg yolk batter is a dish you gotta try here (unlike other places where the shrimps are small and use a large amount of baking soda which tastes like ammonia) If you are ordering take out over $30, they always have a $6.99 special (currently it's either Fried Tofu with Grouper and Pork or Singaporean Style Fried Turnip Cake) Nice and Friendly staff, reasonably priced, highly recommended

Let's start with menu - a wide selection of stir fry, they are truly the wok specialist as their name suggests. All the dishes are very reasonably priced and taste great. It has that very homey neighborhood street side food vendor type feel from HK. It's awesome. Plan to be back every time we are in time

Newly opened Chinese restaurant in the Deer Run mall. We like their reasonably priced lunch specials which includes a hot HK tea or coffee.

They were quite busy with takeout orders which I took as a good sign. We ordered the Beef Sirloin Noodles level spicy and numb(4/5), Breaded Shrimp (5/5) Seafood Fried Rice (4/5) and Lamb Skewers (4/5). Beef Sirloin Noodles were delicious. The broth itself was not overly salty compared to other places we've been to. I enjoyed the addition of peanuts to this dish for that extra crunchy texture and nutty taste. The noodles were cooked perfectly. They were bouncy and chewy. The beef itself was good. Some were a tad bit chewy. I wish there was more bok choy. We'd also opt for extra spicy and extra numb next time. Breaded Shrimp was enjoyable. You can't go wrong with this dish. It was crispy, and the batter to shrimp ratio was decent. Seafood Fried Rice was good as well. Again, we liked how it wasn't overly salty. We were able to sense the taste of the seafood. I wish they added more scallops since we only got two pieces in the whole dish. Lamb Skewers were satisfying flavour-wise. We really liked the seasoning on them. It was on the chewier side but it was manageable. We'd like to try their other skewer options next time. Overall, such a good spot for affordable and delicious food. I'm glad my family recommended this place. I'd like to point out that a customer was being problematically entitled and rude yet the female server stayed professional. I thought she handled the situation quite calmly which I wanna commend her for. P.S. The restaurant has a sign on their door saying not to bring pets inside. So please read this and try not to bring your pet inside to avoid looking entitled and rude.

It is a nice local spot to get your Chinese food cravings fixed. Their menu seems to be the same for all locations, the only difference being the price, all locations potentially the same other than the downtown location. See their website: https://www.congeequeen.com/menu.php and select your location. It has been a while since we have eaten at the Congee Queen outside of the Toronto (Dundas/Yonge) location, so we were a bit surprised at the price difference (8-10% difference). This location (Heartland Town Center) feels like it has the right price for the menu. With cash, you also get a 10% discount. We were here on a Wednesday for an early dinner around 15:30 - 17:00 and it was about medium full for the main area. People were coming and going at a good pace. For our group of four, we ordered: - B3 Salmon Congee $11 ($12 downtown) - H11 Chicken Salted Fish Fried Rice $18.25 ($19.75 downtown) - K34 Fried Bean Curd with Veggie $19.50 ($21.50 downtown) - K42 Salt and Pepper Squid $16.50 ($18.25 downtown) - K53 Fried Chili Turnip Cakes $13.75 ($15.00 downtown) Service was a bit slow, but not the longest as there were only 2-3 staff taking orders that day for about 15-20 tables. If you signaled for assistance, they will come. Once ordered thought, the food came out in about 5 mins and all the dishes were ready soon after. Tea is refilled on request, just ask. As usual, the fried rice and congee is what they are known for, it was excellent as usual. Depending on the group you go with, YMMV, but for our order combination, this usually works comes out at the same time and everything is hot and tasty. The turnip cakes are the softer type and they even accommodated checking for shrimp. They are usually good about seafood checks. All in all, great experience. With the discount and tips all in, it was less than $100 total at $25 per person. It has been a while since we've eaten out with a group at that price point. Will keep in mind to meetup at any of the non downtown locations in future.

I am going to start with the most benign, probably had hundreds in my life you tiao (dough sticks). I have had these in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and all over GTA ..you get the idea. The ones here were among the best if not the best I've ever had. They are delivered to your table seconds from being in the fryer and are crisp, not oily and so light. Yes smaller than the standard, but just so good. 2.99 an order, order 2! They even have gluten cumin spiced skewers, and I have to tell you, they were delicious. But after 5 minutes, the cooler version were just not as good so eat when hot if u can. Everything we had was just delicious and made to order, piping hot.

The space here is definitely smaller but seating was still very comfortable. Ordering is done via QR code through phone. The staff was friendly and service was quick and prompt. I do want to say that their pricing is very fair and reasonable. There is also free parking in front of the restaurant. I was missing my time in Taiwan so I ordered the Taiwanese Braised Pork and Egg on rice. We also ordered Pumpkin Pie with Red Bean Filling, stir-fried rice noodles with bean sprouts, Juicy Chinese Pork Burger, and their Juicy Cheese Beef Burger. Everything was quite good especially the Chinese Pork Burger. The outer shell was so crispy and the pork meat was so juicy and was seasoned just right. The Taiwanese Braised Pork rice was good but definitely not as good as in Taiwan lol. Also, if coming here, you have to try their signature pan fried buns. That is what they are known for. We didn't order it this time because we've had it a bunch of times already. Overall, this restaurant always hits. It's not the most amazing food but like the name suggest, It is very home style comfort food.

I wanted to try Peking Duck and got clued into J&Y as one of the best options to try which did not disappoint. The Peking Duck was so tender, so flavorful and so wonderfully succulent. It was perfectly prepared and sliced with the fat rendered and thinly sliced. The wraps were not the monstrous steamed buns but traditional translucent wraps which are super thin, soft and pliable. Scallions, cucumber, hoisin sauce completed each wrap which highlighted the duck. Definitely the best traditional Peking Duck preparation I've had in a very very long time. The remains of the duck were used for make a duck fried rice and duck soup, again both were amazing. It takes a certain skill to make fried rice cleanly without an excessive oily coating on each grain of rice. This was one of the best fried rices I've ever had! No gratuitous mushy frozen peas needlessly added either. Well seasoned fried pork ribs and veggies completed the courses I had, everything was truly wonderful and I hope to revisit again.

I've lived in Toronto, Durham, Peel and I can definitely say its been the hardest to find goood late night greasy Chinese food here in the Port Credit end of Mississauga. I'm still on the hunt! Customer service here was great. I called asked a few questions, than went in and grabbed a menu and went back to my car. Called over the phone and ordered she didn't know it was me and asked if i knew where they were located which was nice. So My order was General tao chicken ( we usually get chilli chicken but don't like it dry, prefer the sauced up spicy, so this is the equivalent at some places), chicken balls, chicken fried rice, and chicken wings. The total was about 40$, which is fair and the portions were alot less to what I was used to. The general tao chicken was not even a little bit spicy, even though she said it was so that was disappointing. On top of that the breaded part of the chicken was extremely soggy and the plate was full of soggy over cooked veggies underneath. the chicken wings were fried and greasy tasted great and well seasoned. Just not like what I'd usually get from a Chinese take out place as it just looked different the way it was breaded and fried. The rice was in a really small container w under cooked pieced of chicken that was very slimy and white and the rice was very bland. I had to overkill w soy sauce and bit of red sauce. Lastly the chicken balls of course 80% balls 20% chicken but tasted fine, just nothing special. I mean it was cheap and last minute but i definitely feel like i would not have ordered here if i had known cheap or not. They have alot to improve on or mayb they are better at making other items listed in reviews from others. Not sure how they have 5 stars. but hey to each their own right!
