We received quotes from a dozen contractors and none of them could stick to our budget. Rick provided some solutions that would help us stay under budget and still have a really nice space. It is now the BEST space in the house. We will be calling on Rick again for our next renovation. We had a one-year-old at the time of renovation and it was in the middle of the Covid 19 Pandemic. Rick and his team were incredible with checking on us and letting us know in advance how our day might be disrupted by the work. They were considerate of sound levels when he was napping and so courteous of our home life, which we were still adjusting to ourselves. This showed us a lot about the character of Premier 1 Properties. They care about the quality of their work, but they also care about their customers and their experiences during renovations.

They took a lunch break and left each day by 3pm! One day, I saw that they were using my extension cord that they'd taken from my garage without asking! Umm bring your own equipment please or at least ask to borrow. Only one of them could speak broken English. They were scared of my dog so I HAD to be home while they were working. It was ridiculous. Their drywall skills were pathetic and tape and muddying looked like my preschool kids did it. When I would show Rick their shoddy work he would had them correct it but it was over and over and over. Their paint work was poor. Parts of the floor tile had to be removed and replaced. We found The ductwork was left unhooked up and ceiling tiles right over unfinished ductwork. I would not recommend and I will never use again. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY as they hire non English speaking men who do do not know how to do interior construction work. Egress window leaked too

We have added them to our home file and have been recommending them to everyone. Two young men arrived and were very professional throughout. We had one minor issue and brought it to the attention of the owner who responded immediately and took care of it. This company does great work in their field, but possibly even more valuable is their commitment to excellent customer service. In 2023 that is treasured and especially so for its rarity. Thank you, Herb and team!

I can not say enough about Todd and the team that did the work at our house…read more My husband and I bought a home in March that we knew had a foundation issue. To our surprise it was way worse than we thought. Prior to finding Missouri Basement I had contacted a few other companies and they all told me that there was no real issue and the house would be fine. 6 months after moving in and renovating the entire house, new cracks appeared. I called Nathan at Missouri Basement and he came right over. Nathan informed me that the back of our house was sinking due to the dry weather we had and no rain. I knew he was correct, the floor had a huge slope that was never there before. I hired Missouri Basement and they were able to take care of the problem with extreme professionalism. After the piercing the back of the house and the walls being secured everything is perfect. Five stars all the way......

I cannot recommend doing business with this company. You pay a premium for professionalism and…read moreexpediency with these contractors. I got neither. Spend your hard earned money on a better staff that communicates and schedules at a professional level. TLDR: Because of scheduling negligence and poor communication, my project for a deck and patio cover was 3 times delayed and downgraded to just a deck because of administrative issues. Ultimately it was completed almost 3 months after the initial estimate. Our 12x20 deck ended up being $28,000. I put the initial deposit down in mid April for a deck (12x20) and screened in patio cover attaching to my house. It was an expensive project (~$41,000) that we were excited to have done. They estimated completion of the entire project by mid June. After the deposit we heard nothing from them until late May for a quick measurement on our property to verify the drawings. We expected the construction timeline to be very similar to the initial estimate. We heard nothing for weeks. Giving the benefit of the doubt, I reached out at the end of the month for an update. My PM stated they were a few weeks behind-- frustrating that the information wasn't shared, but understandable given the rainy spring. Fast forward a few weeks and yet again I was given the run around. I had many unanswered texts and phone calls. It was the end of July when I finally heard back from them. Turns out the project manager assigned to me dropped the ball. The permits for the initial deck and patio cover were approved, but allowed to expire. On resubmission it was found to be a violation of city ordinance so the patio cover had to be removed from the project. The 3rd round of permitting finally got approved. At this point I was very frustrated with the 1.5 month delay and ready to cancel. They whipped up a new contract quickly and I returned it quickly. Somehow things were still delayed. Finally they began on August 27th. The crew was FANTASTIC. They worked incredibly hard and had it up in 3 work days. I cannot praise them enough, their product was great. They are the only reason this experience was 2 stars instead of 1. At the end of the project I aired my grievances and was told they could not offer any discount despite the issues. I didn't even get an apology until I asked for some sort of reparation. Ultimately there are too many other decking companies that would be easier to work with that I would not recommend working with this one.

I hired STL Windows and Doors to replace 28 storm windows on my home because they were highly…read morerated. I was told that the windows would be fully custom to fit my existing custom interior windows, however, the storm windows I received are not custom and do not line up with my existing interior windows (see photos below). Honestly, I just wanted this fixed as it degrades the look of our home and is not what I ordered. What the company will tell you: 1. They tried to remedy the situation, but the company they use is no longer making storm windows so there is nothing they can do. 2. They apologize if the windows are not aesthetically pleasing or do not meet my expectations (disregarding the fact that they are not what I ordered). 3. They pride themselves on customer service, their reputation, and their customer's satisfaction. What I will tell you: 1. When I alerted them to the issue, they said, "It is what it is." They also told me that the storm windows only came in a 50/50 split (and not custom). I contacted the supplier myself and confirmed that the windows are available to order in custom sizes. When I told the company this, they said that they had reached out to the supplier and since they were no longer making storm windows, there was nothing they could do. I asked if there were other solutions, such as contacting another supplier, but I never received an answer to that. They also claim that I didn't tell them of the issue until the job was complete, but I told the installer (who happens to be the owner's sister) at the beginning of day two and her fiancé (the salesman) came out at the beginning of day three to see what the issue was. The job was not completed until the end of day three. I did not correspond with the owner until I filed complaints and contacted a lawyer. 2. "Apologies" aside, I must now pay another company considerably more money to fix the issue caused by STL Windows and Doors. 3. Their actions do not align with priding themselves on customer service. To outline a few of the particulars (without going into too much detail): they've blamed the original salesperson who no longer works for the company, they lied about the windows not being available in custom sizes, they then blamed me after I found out that they are available in custom sizes, a window was installed broken and has not been fixed.
