I was visiting from out of town and decided to purchase a new phone. I was told my data transfer…read morewould only take about 45 minutes. The download took 18 hours. By the time I got to my home state my new phone stopped working. The reason it stopped working was because I was sold a 256g phone but had a 512g phone. All of my data was not able to transfer. Before going to my local store, I didn't realize what was happening, so I was making sure my new phone was able to access all the app with usernames and passwords. I went to my local store because now, I'm not able to send/receive text and calls. I was deleting apps off the old phone because they are now on the new phone. The rep at the store in my home state realize the issue and told me I will be charged a restocking fee of $55 because the phone box has been opened and if I want my phone to work, there is no way around it. So now, I had to upgrade my phone from 256g to 512g, pay taxes again on the 2nd new phone, lost alot of my apps because they wiped the first new phone cleaned and reactivated my old phone. What a mess! Now, I am out of money, a new phone and have to wait 7-10 days for the new phone because they are not in stock. Is it not so hard for the reps to view the gigs on the current phone and ask do I want less gigs or not? I was also told I would have to call customer care and ask them for the restocking fee of $55 back because of the error of the rep. I understand errors are made; however, the cost and time lost falls on me, the customer, with nothing more than an apology. I will NEVER purchase a phone out of state and from a non( PRIME) AT&T store again.

In the first instance, when we were trying to resolve my 91-year-old father-in-law's account (an automatic draft had failed), he simply stated the bill was overdue and offered no help or insight. We had to figure out the cause ourselves. The second time, a phone was incorrectly ordered with a new line instead of the existing one. He dismissed us, told us to go to Best Buy, and made no effort to solve the confusion. He avoided eye contact and seemed indifferent throughout. In contrast, other staff here explain issues thoroughly. I would avoid dealing with this employee if possible.

My wife and I switched our phone service and internet to AT&T about 6 months ago. We traded in our…read morephones for new iPhones at the time. We were told that the trade in credit would be applied after a couple billing cycles. Still hasn't happened. I call about once a week to check what the holdup is. The manager is never there and never follows up even though he's told me he's looking into it. Additionally, we were signed up for several programs we didn't ask for including a more expensive internet package. Their incompetence has cost me around $2000 worth of trade in credit and many wasted hours on the phone.

When I questioned the price on the receipt, it made him uncomfortable and he went into a spill about not forcing a customer to have a repair completed. I questioned the pricing for accounting purposes as the repair was related to a work phone and I reported what was quoted. He then showed me the pricing on the screen but I sensed his irritation at me questioning the pricing. An accurate quote would have given me the option to seek out another repair company of equal reputation before deciding whether to use the service and driving 45 minutes to the location. I chose to leave and seek out other options.
